My review keeps disappearing.. short and sweet.... people seem nice to deal With... billing with my insurance... which is on their approved list.. is absolutely terrible. They seem to have some of their employees covered and some not. Nasty letters from bill collectors ... last catheter change done resulted in emergency room midnight visit because of blockage and blood instead of urine. Office staff was nice. I had visited the group due to Peyronies Disease. I had a Doppler Ultrasound performed. Then, while waiting in the room after the ultrasound, the Doctor next door was so loud, his voice carried to other rooms. I did not need to hear about other people's ED issues. I informed the doctor, and he gave me a dirty look, did not even lower his voice, when discussing my problem. I then told the doctor what my problem was, and he prescribed a pain relief medicine (Colchicine), which did not alleviate or address the original problem. He told me that he had no experience with Xiaflex. Never mentioned my ultrasound results. My out of pocket $85.00. Went back 2 weeks later due to constant pain and continued problem, only to be seen by another doctor, who told me that I did not give the medicine time to work, and who seemed like, I was bothering him. He said that he had no experience with Peyronies, and set me up with another person in another Jersey Urology office. Still no explanation of the ultrasound results. Out of Pocket $85.00. The third person, 2 days later, was a PA, who informed me that the pain medicine that the first doctor prescribed (Colchicine) would do nothing. Then told me I had to wait a year for Xiaflex consideration. However, he gave me printed papers on what to do when I am prescribed to Xiaflex, which I wasn't. Told nothing else. The PA was not friendly, or did not even say good-by. Out of Pocket $85.00. Apparently this Jersey Urology is not a Patient Friendly office, and only deals with bladder and ED issues. Now I am forced to seek a specialist. read more

Terrible service. I just cancelled an appointment and will no longer use this group. I had 4-5 visits over the last year and it's always a different PA. I have no clue who my doctor is. Very impersonal. How are you supposed to establish and doctor - patient relationship? Prostate is a serious issue. This group doesn't take a personal interest in their patients. The last straw is the result of my last appointment (early February) and I'm still waiting on authorization from the PA for the prescribed med. I called them 4 times and no progress. read more

The front staff is EXTREMELY RUDE. The staff has no empathy for patients that are sick. I literally checked in two minutes before my appointment and because of a computer glitch I was not able to be seen, because there computer couldn't fine me. . Jen who apparently is the front desk person refused to get a doctor, as she was with a patient. So I said well I will wait for the doc. She said she can't see u because you were 2 min. Late checking in. I told her what had happened and even with the assistance from another worker she could not find me, as well Jen said I was NOT ABLE to be seen. When asked to speak to a manager manager, she said there isn't one. I had 3 other people tell me that this happened to them and Jen did the same thing. Highly don't recommend Jersey Urology Group. -Was out to dinner at restaurant. I go to pay bill. Waitress took my card brought it back said my debt card was declined. So called my credit card company. The credit card company told me Jersey Urology tried to hit my card for 10$ four times in less then 2 minutes. That put up red flags to my credit card company for fraud. Thankfully I had a friend who worked at restaurant who paid my 120$ bill till I could get to bank following day to pay him. Also took week to get a new card in mail. Called Jersey Urology following day there Billing Department. The lady was completely rude and basically said to get over it. -Today had an appointment at 3:30. On my way to Appoimtment at Jersey Urology. There was an car accident and traffic was backed up. I was less then 10 minutes late to my appointment. Walked into office. Let receptionist know. She informed me that after 1 minute late to your appointment. You need to reschedule.Receptionist went back to ask Dr Miller if he would take me. She returned informed me that I need to reschedule. That policy is 15 minutes interval for each doctor. I let her know I will not be back or rescheduling. I don't like to publicly voice but feel this is warranted. Hopefully it's a fair warning to patients that might consider using Jersey Urology Group. Before making an appointment I read reviews. Didn't believe what I saw. Arrived 10 minutes early to my first appointment and was turned away and rescheduled. I was charged twice. The staff runs the office and they were rude and did not even acknowledge me when walking in. The greeter was on the phone when I arrived and asked if I had an appointment? Not Good Morning. Why else would I walk through the door of a Urology Group without an appointment? The second appointment I arrived two minutes late and was also turned away My suggestion is that the doctors or owners should get involved with customers and training staff. Rude and very unhelpful. Also, text messages should include the address for where they want you to go. Don't go here! Bad staff and whoever is in charge has not a clue of how bad their staffing is. Zero stars. Worst medical provider experience I have had. 2nd appointment and they refused to see me. I had been 6 minutes late. Their nuts and longgggg check in system is a hassle. They want everything and your first born. If you a 1 minute late, you cannot sign in and you will not be seen. Physician took their 3:30 appt. (I was the 3:15. I asked if they had double booked.) So they took someone earlier and they didnt offer me the 3:30 appt. I called the office multiple times today and asked to speak with Office Manager. Phone tag so, while it was less satisfying, I finally left message that how they treated me was wholly unacceptable and that I would report the Basso person. Plus, they never contacted me with ultrasound results before my 2nd appointment. They don't value your time or respect you. Find elsewhere. read more

Canceling someone's appointment for being three mins late is not ok especially when that person is in a great deal of discomfort. This group has the laziest, sack of sh*t employees this side of the "nut" house. Renee, a supposed nurse, is the most ignorant, rude and condescending worker that I have ever come across. The jury is still out on the doctors, but the entire office staff think they can say and talk to you however they please. They are surprised when someone speaks up, which leads me to believe that since a majority of their patients are elderly that they just must take their verbal lashing. read more

A very efficient operation and it pays off for the patients. I would recommend this group of doctors to anyone in need of a urology specialist. From the speedy appointment scheduling to check in, the office runs like a well oiled clock. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the patient portal and use the pre-checkin option prior to the appointment. Otherwise at every checkin you'll be signing more documents than your first mortgage. All my appointments were on time which is BIG in my book. My only criticism is the constant drilling about credit cards and copays. In fairness, its my criticism of 99% of medical providers these days. They worry about payment before the patient's illness. You call and the second words out of their mouths behind "hello" is "what insurance do you have?". This practice is no different. From the intake of forms to the reminders sent about upcoming appointments, the money thing rears its ugly head and quite honestly its the last thing an ill patient wants to see over and over. I get it lots of doctors have trouble collecting fees today between the insurance company and copays I'm sure its rough but just remember why you chose this career. My husband was scheduled for an out patient procedure to remove a bladder stone. While doing so, Dr. Schutz perforated my husband's bladder which required surgery to repair. Two days latter he developed sepsis in his knee that required another surgery to clean out the infection. He spent two weeks in the hospital (Shore Medical Center...terrible) and another 13 days in rehab. He won't be going back to Jersey Urology Group! read more

Don't go here! They don't care about new patients. I made a first time appointment and they canceled it and rescheduled it. Then when I arrived to the office and checked in at the Kiosk it said that "I already checked in". The Receptionist informed me that my appointment was at 10:30 am but I checked into the Kiosk at 10:31 am and the Kiosk wouldn't let me have my appt. I was denied my appt! Due to their location and directions, which the receptionist agreed with me that the location was hard to find even for HER the first time and having to wait for the elevator. So by the time I typed in my information into the Kiosk it was 10:31! What a horrible first impression. They are dealing with people's lives and being denied an appointment for being 1 minute late is ridiculous. Let's hope I don't have cancer! read more

Very staunch in there practices. Doctors seem very knowledgeable and professional but they constantly reschedule appointments which means that you must reregister on line or at the office each time they reschedule. Once you are preregistered, if they reschedule the appointment, they should use the pre registration you originally submitted. I have had the same appt. rescheduled up to 4 different times. Also, you always see a PA for the follow-up and not the Doctor that did the procedure. It is OK for them to reschedule as often as they please, but if you are 2 minutes late arriving for an appointment, the Computer locks you out and you need to reschedule. No exceptions even though you wait 15 or 20 minutes for the doctor or PA every time they take you back to a room. The attitude of the receptionists and people in the main office really needs to be evaluated. read more

the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a medical practice..... they completely disregarded my medical needs and let me languish for months with kidney stones and then completely disregarded a recommended procedure which ultimately led to the discovery of cancer, which by the way I learned about by reading a report online and not through their doctors. they are the worst! read more

What a joke ! Jersey urology left a catheter in my 89 year old mom- for weeks sending her to a gynecologist instead to pass the buck - then when returning for a catheter check up or change and to retest the bladder -we were told by "Dr Shultz" - we should have taken out the catheter ourselves!!! - he stated that I ( a lifeguard instructor for the Red Cross ) looked like I should be able to figure it out ! What a lazy unprofessional man - he was rude and unkind and said my mom would remain on the catheter likely forever! We went to an awesome urology dr in Philly two days later who said she did not even need a catheter at all!! Those doctors at jersey urology were padding their pockets using the elderly! My mom has had no bladder issues since Philly doctors took it out ! read more

I have been deceived by this medical provider.  They are a tier 1 medical provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield. This summer they recommended a medical procedure in which I agreed. They scheduled this procedure at Shore Medical Center, without informing me that they're a tier 2 Medical Facility. Now Shore Medical Center is pursuing me for $4300.00, and Jersey Urology Group is ignoring me, refusing to respond to my letters and their misdeeds. T'hey could of scheduled this medical procedure at a tier 1 medical facility, or at least inform of the costs associated with a tier 2 facility.  Shame on them for not being responsible and misleading patient. The two females in charge of the waiting room gossiped about people in the parking lot and did not pay attention to the people in the waitingroom. My husband's appointment was cancelled because he had difficulty with the computer. We were early, but his appointment was cancelled because "he was late". These "ladies" knew he was early and at the computer when they cancelled his appointment! Shame! read more

Wrote a negative review about them and they dropped me as their patient. They told me that if I was not happy with them, I must go some where else. I feel as specialist they serve a special service that is needed by patients. The PA I saw the last two times was very good. But I had stated in the review that as a whole, they are extremely inconsiderate of their patients. I also had an appointment cancelled by them because I came in a couple of minutes late. But when I am on time, it is ok for them to make me wait. They treat you like $$$$ (dollar signs). That is all you are to them. They have no empathy for their patients as a company. read more

I like my dr. And I don't want to change, but the cons are more outnumbered than the pros with this practice. They have no receptionist, but they have a receptionist "MONITOR". Pretty much they are rude, standoffish, and not helpful at all! Every time you have an appt you do your own check in. But it's not that simple. You have to answer the same questions every single time, you have to scan you health insurance, id, and credit card!! It's like being a new patient every time you come in!! Only 1 other patient was in the waiting room with me, and the place is dead, and my appt was at 11:15 and I'm sitting here listening through the paper thin walls in the somers point office. Your office in Somers Point NJ is very unorganized and the workers are very unprofessional. I have sat here at your Kiosk as a VISITOR and have checked 6 of YOUR patients in yesterday. I have never been more disgusted in my life. I am here near tears the way I have seen you treat your patients. Most that have came here are 50+ and you expect them to use a Kiosk? When I called 111 for your patient you told me that you would not see your patient of they could not check in. Mr. J B. That had a 2:30 appointment today your young worker (would not tell any of us her name as we all were going to report her) said he was late. Mr. J.B. Was here at 2:27 as I helped him and another couple check in. The young lady tried to lie and say she came out at 2:30 and did not see him. For me as a 24 year old EDUCATED professional, I feel so violated. Another elderly woman walked in and said you all ALWAYS have problems. Here and EHT. I will tell you this. Stay as far away from this place as you can. I have been strung along in the Sewell location for almost 3 months now. I was putt on medication for my symptoms without any tests being performed to get a diagnosis which made my symptoms so much worse. I finally had a bladder scan done, and found that the medicine was the complete opposite of what I needed. I was then scheduled for 2 tests that keep getting canceled and rescheduled for weeks later, only to be canceled again. You can't even call and speak to a doctor to ask a question, without being forced into making another appointment. The people who you speak to are rude and condescending and of no help. Had a procedure done that was delayed till the Insurance covered it, Doctor stated it was covered by insurance. Months later I am getting billed $1,350 and when I speak to the billing manger she is so rude and refused to any questions. She refuses to give me her name and continues to be a rude. I had 2 doctors at South Jersey Urology. Not good experiences. Then I had the privilege and good luck of meeting Dr. Steixner where he performed a procedure at Shore Memorial. These have to be the rudest office staff I have ever met. There is a computer screen, a miserable receptionist who tells you your a no-show if your ten minutes late. You then talk her into letting you see the doctor. They tried to collect on a "no show" bill from 3 years ago, now the no show was actually late. So I walked out. They wont get me twice. There is no shortage of Urologist's out there. Its a shame as Dr Schultz should know whats going on in his office. Hes a good doctor being overshadowed by his cranky, unhappy hall monitor. Be careful here, they will attach your credit whether they are in the right or wrong. You will be forced to pay even when they don't see you. Pass the word and avoid this Office. read more

I was scheduled to see Dr Wren at 9:15. Because of the weather I called at 7:30 to see if it could be changed to a tele health appt since it was only a consult. The person on the phone said someone would call me shortly with the info. Nobody did. So I drove to Galloway and walked into the office a few minutes late because the back roads where I live were awful. I was turned away. That is a disgrace! I'm done with your practice. I wish I had read the reviews before I chose Jersey Urology. My first visit was actually with a real live Dr (Dr. Wren). He spoke so fast and confident that I had nothing to worry about; but he also was "training" a young lady on how to use the "computer/tablet". I presented him with my blood work from Dec 2019 and he looked at, then said ok, got it, and gave it back to me. He prescribed a medication in which I took for 1 month; performed another blood test; and received a call from their office informing me that my "levels" were elevated. I had another appointment 3 weeks later they told me to keep; so I agreed. A week later, I was able to access my blood work and in reality my "levels" went DOWN, not UP. I actually felt good about this. When I went to the office for my 2nd visit, they performed an ultrasound (the lady was very nice & professional). But she asked if I had a full bladder, which I said nobody told me that; she looked at the chart and saw it was Dr. Wren and made a comment about how "fast" he is with patients and I said, yes he was!!! She then completed the procedure and took me into an exam room... where Cassie, the physician assistant, showed up (NOT the Dr). She proceeded to say my "levels" went up and I needed a surgical procedure. I stopped her there and informed her my "levels" went DOWN not UP; but she didn't believe me I guess. She did NOT have my Dec 2019 blood work? Why not? What happened to it? At this point, I asked to see the Dr and got back from her in a very condescending tone, "You are SEEING me today". I then said, we don't even know the results of the ultrasound, and she said, "oh yeah, I looked at them already..."; I replied, "you were not going to tell me?". She said she was going to... yeah right! So she said I would need to reschedule to see the Dr or have him call me. I asked to be called, at that point she got up and walked out leaving me in the room by myself... so i got up and left. 3 business days later, I CALLED their office because I never received a call from the Dr. I explained the whole story to their "service" and the office did call me back very quickly. But it was NOT the Dr. Another assistant called me, and I had to tell her the entire story again. 1 day later I received a call back from the Dr office... but NOT from the Dr. I was told by a 3rd lady that the Dr never calls a patient! So I again explained the whole story (which she was calling a complaint at this point). I told her I only asked to see the Dr and then later to have the Dr call me. All I wanted was to discuss my options with a DR! No options were ever discussed and I never talked to a DR again after the 1st visit, nearly 2mnths ago. Do NOT ever think this "group" will treat anyone with any kind of respect. You are just another $$$ to them. No compassion what so ever! read more

I made an appointment with Dr. Spence, as I was referred to him for a consultation. He examined me and recommended a series of tests be done. The initial tests were completed and I had a consultation with their Physician's Assistant, Krista, She was knowledgeable and thorough, taking time to answer my questions and provide me with the answers and information I was seeking. She recommended another test, which I scheduled and which was performed by another doctor in the practice, Dr. Wren. Following this, I was scheduled to return to the office to have the results interpreted. To this point, I felt that I had been treated very professionally and had been very satisfied with the personnel that I had encountered (despite what I read in the other reviews, I thought the receptionist at the desk was very polite and willing to help patients who struggled with the terminals). That was when I encountered Megan McKinney, another of their Physician's Assistants. After a short wait, she entered the examining room and proceeded to tell me the results of the Cystoscopy. She was abrupt and borderline disinterested until I asked a question about the results. She then became abrupt, telling me that any more information would require more tests, and essentially inferring that I was wasting her time and mine by even bothering. When I said that I thought those tests had been done, she told me I was wrong. I said that I was sure that they had been done in the hospital, she told me I was confused and didn't know what I was talking about. My wife had accompanied me to the office visit. She has been a nurse for 30 years and has advanced degrees and several certifications, and she was lost in the rapid and confusing manner in which I was provided information, and was appalled at the treatment that I received from Ms. McKinney. When she attempted to intercede and tell Ms. McKinney that I was correct in that I had those tests performed, and asked did she have the copies of the records from Atlanticare that I had personally delivered to the office, she was told that she, too, was wrong, and that those tests were different. This was done without even looking at the folder holding my records to confirm what tests had been performed. When I attempted to ask for clarification of an answer to one of my questions, she literally sighed and rolled her eyes as if to say "I don't have time for this". She told me "You're confused" when I tried to ask questions about my results and treatment options. She finally told me that any further decisions on my treatment options had to be made by me without giving me any information on which to base those decisions. Her attitude toward me as a patient was beyond indifferent. I was left with virtually no information as to whether I should pursue further diagnostic testing to determine the source of potentially dangerous symptoms, her response was "Oh, don't worry about it, it's probably nothing." Not very reassuring! I will return to the practice for my next appointment with (I hope) the doctor, as I was comfortable with the two I saw, but I will never see her again, and I recommend no one else sees her either. She is indifferent, uncaring, and rude. read more
