If you are renting equipment, either motorized or not, he sincerely takes the time to ensure proper use for safety but not in a condescending way. My wife had never ridden a jet ski before and he spoke to her encouragingly and gave her instructions of what to do if she decided she wanted to drive. Which at first she was terrified of. No doubt, when we were out on the water she screamed "Ok, my turn...I want to drive!!" We had a great 4 days away from work, kids, and school while celebrating our Friday the 13th successful brain tumor removals (separate, but surgeries the same day different years). Angelo and Lazy Days were an excellent addition to rounding out our stay. We reserved two chairs for the days we were there, we kayaked, jet skied, and enjoyed our company when Angelo dropped in to ensure we were comfortable. I am critical and I work in customer service. If you don't know how to serve or have a problem with the words "server" or "service" you are in the wrong business. Angelo knows what it is to give a part of himself, in service, to enhance your time. And we reciprocated by thanking him and appreciating him, as you should. I only had second hand knowledge of them but figured I would try them out personally. I needed a beach wheelchair for my dad, they made the experience so easy I thought I forgot to confirm them when I booked them like 5 months in advance. I reached out day before to confirm we were still good and we were! We confirmed the meeting time at the beach access. Day of they arrived ON TIME as scheduled and would you believe.. I was not available ( I was taking get ready pictures for my nephews wedding and the Bride & Groom were running about 30 minutes behind)... I apologized and asked if there was a way for him to leave it for me and he said YES! He locked it up and sent the combination to the lock. Ya'll I had not even had a chance to pay him yet! We've rented pontoon boats from Boogie Watersports several times over the years and, overall, we've…read morealways enjoyed our days on the water. The check-in process was friendly and efficient. Since we've rented boats here before, we appreciated that the safety briefing was shortened and focused on the essentials rather than making us sit through the entire presentation again. That said, it would have been helpful to clearly remind returning customers about the exact navigation boundaries and where boating is not permitted. Our 25ft pontoon boat was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a relaxing day around Destin Harbor and Crab Island. However, part of the bimini top was torn and flapped loudly in the wind throughout the day. The Bluetooth radio also didn't work. We've experienced that on previous rentals as well, so perhaps it is intentionally disabled, but if that's the case it would be good to communicate that upfront. The biggest disappointment was the pricing transparency. The advertised rental price looks attractive, but then a 4% "Village Fee" and an additional 2.5% "Operational Cost Fee" are added before sales tax. An operational cost fee feels particularly difficult to justify, as operational costs should already be included in the advertised price. By the time all fees and taxes are added, a rental advertised at $345 ends up costing about $427. That leaves customers feeling misled and takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a great day on the water and the staff was professional and pleasant. Improving the condition of some equipment and being more transparent about the true rental cost would make the experience even better.

Well, the weather turned out to be GORGEOUS and even though it was a little cooler, the sun made the beach feel amazing. Even the water was nice enough for a dip. We didn't want to purchase beach chairs just for one day at the beach, so we found Bella B and sure enough they were open and brought us beach chairs and a little clip on Bluetooth speaker for the day! We had the best time and they met us to pick everything up when we were done. Highly recommend and we will be using them every time we come back for vacation! They have a wide selection of beach items too. Give them a shout!
