We've rented pontoon boats from Boogie Watersports several times over the years and, overall, we've always enjoyed our days on the water. The check-in process was friendly and efficient. Since we've rented boats here before, we appreciated that the safety briefing was shortened and focused on the essentials rather than making us sit through the entire presentation again. That said, it would have been helpful to clearly remind returning customers about the exact navigation boundaries and where boating is not permitted. Our 25ft pontoon boat was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a relaxing day around Destin Harbor and Crab Island. However, part of the bimini top was torn and flapped loudly in the wind throughout the day. The Bluetooth radio also didn't work. We've experienced that on previous rentals as well, so perhaps it is intentionally disabled, but if that's the case it would be good to communicate that upfront. The biggest disappointment was the pricing transparency. The advertised rental price looks attractive, but then a 4% "Village Fee" and an additional 2.5% "Operational Cost Fee" are added before sales tax. An operational cost fee feels particularly difficult to justify, as operational costs should already be included in the advertised price. By the time all fees and taxes are added, a rental advertised at $345 ends up costing about $427. That leaves customers feeling misled and takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a great day on the water and the staff was professional and pleasant. Improving the condition of some equipment and being more transparent about the true rental cost would make the experience even better. read more

Pretty sweeeeet. We booked tickets to go parasailing (my first time by the way). First, our original scheduled time had to be cancelled for weather (thanks for keeping us safe!) and they rescheduled us for later in the day. Tristan took some sweet pics with his camera you can buy at the end sent directly to your phone. David navigated the boat like a champ--low key riding the boat waiting for your turn in the air was pretty fun. Lastly, David and Tristan somehow summoned the dolphins and we ended the parasailing trip with an additional tour around a pod of dolphins with a baby dolphin. We had a person with special needs and called ahead to see how handicapped accessible they were. They said it should be no problem. We arrived, checked in and then were told we had to use an elevator in a nearby restaurant to go down one floor, were given less than accurate directions to the boat slip. We arrived 3 minutes late and the boat had already left. We went back to where we checked in and were told we could reschedule, but no refund. By this time, there was no way our friend could make the trip back to the boat slip (she was spent). Trinity was less than empathetic and told us that it was handicapped accessible (no mention of going through other establishments to get there, not to mention how far the walk was). None of this was mentioned when we called ahead to see if this was doable for our friend. To add insult to injury, we had to pay a $20 parking fee. If you have someone with special needs, DON'T go to Boogies. read more

Highly recommend! All of the staff are incredibly friendly, from checking in, to the ride. Noah was our guide. There were a total of 4 skis and 5 people. He took us to dolphin and manatee "hot spots" and allowed us to hang with a pod of dolphins until he noticed we were ready to move on. I really enjoyed the small group, maybe we got lucky, but it was wonderful! The guys on the dock even recommended we have Dewey Destin's for lunch afterwards, so of course we went. Madhouse. There was no manager on site. Communication isn't really there and their process can be more efficient. Employees were all over the place on their thought process as one said one thing and others had different information they were putting out. I know of other rental places that operate more smoothly despite it being summer. I understand that July is peak season for them but being fully staffed and uniformly trained would certainly help them and their customers to achieve a smoother flow. I would give this place 5 stars for the pontoon rental alone. It was an amazing experience. I have to knock it down a couple of stars due to the dolphin glass bottom boat. They encourage folks to feed the seagulls, so people are getting pooped on left and right if not under a covering. Not to mention they don't actually have bird feed. Ppl are feeding the sea gulls chips, which is terrible for them. The glass bottom is green, so there's not a clear window to see the wildlife. read more

While staying at the Wyndham Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village, I was given 10% off at Boogies. The kiosk was right outside my resort and I was able to easily rent a pontoon boat for an afternoon, after submitting waiver forms for my party of 6. The price was great, we got to captain our own boat, and bring our own snacks/drinks. The boat was large and comfortable with plenty of cushioned seating and a canopy for the driver. We boated out to Crab Island, anchored and splashed around for awhile. We had thought about doing a sunset dolphin cruise excursion, but guess what??? We created our own. We saw lots of dolphins that came right up to our boat. We also got to enjoy the sunset (and dolphins) as we made our way back to the marina. And, an added bonus was the jet flyovers from Eglin AFB nearby. It was like several excursions in one afternoon. Amazing. Great service and price. read more

We set sail and about an hour into our cruise, there was a problem with an engine. I never noticed but my friend knew about boats brought it to my attention. We had a great time on the Glass Bottom Boat Dolphin Cruise! First, the term "glass bottom" does not mean that you can see down below the boat. There is a room below deck that has windows you can look out to see some of the fish. It's hard to see much when the boat is moving but still neat to see the fish up close! Nonetheless, this was still a great experience! This is a 2 hour cruise of the bay harbor and gulf and for the length of time, the pricing really isn't bad. It is $29 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $15.50 for children 4-14yrs (3 and under free). As you go along they will give you some history of the city and point out local destinations. They will also point out sea turtles, dolphins, sharks, sting rays and any other sea life! You can also feed the sea gulls! The trip is absolutely beautiful and you are free to move about the 3 levels of the boat. They sell some very basic snacks on the boat and don't really encourage you to bring your own food. We did bring a few bottles of water but purchased chips and cookies on the boat. They also sell a few alcoholic beverages. The sea gulls love to eat the Cheetos so we bought a few bags of those while on board. They only accept cash so come prepared! The staff at booking/checkout as well as the crew on the boat, were extremely friendly and helpful. A few things to note: you can probably find a coupon for a few dollars off, so I would search for one of those. Also, they will take your picture on board and it cost $15 cash. So if you think you want to purchase that, be sure to bring enough cash. At the end of the trip they will recommend tipping the crew because they work heavily off of tops and they recommend tipping $3 per person in your party. Also, if you park in the parking lot of the shopping center, please note the parking is $10 but covers the entire day. You will pay cash on exiting. There is an ATM machine next to the main booking office of Boogie Water Sports. Overall this was a lot of fun and totally worth the money/time! Our family had a blast! read more

Took the glass bottom boat tour with our three kids. Took about two hours. It was awesome!! The boat had 3 levels and all were excellent spots to see from. The whole crew did an amazing job just being pleasant and nice! But went out of their way to make sure we got to see as many marine life as possible. Saw tons of dolphins, a manatee (sea cow) and even a few little sharks! Keep everyone aware of the location of the animals and best place on the boat to see them. Even had a little snack bar area and took our picture before taking off and was able to purchase by the end of the cruise. We had a Spectator and even thou she didn't go up in the air , She enjoyed the boat ride . The weather was perfect the ocean was bright clear Emerald color. I'm scared of heights but for some reason this type of height did not scare me . Maybe it was the beautiful view from above . It was pretty good except for the fact that there was nothing to see on the glass bottom. The glass bottom was just windows under the ship with kid sized seats next to each one. All you could see was the blue and green water, no fish or dolphins or anything. However, it was still a good tour, we saw many pods of dolphins and some of them even came close to the boat. They have food on the upper deck and it's beautiful to watch the sunset on. read more
