Our daughter is in Ms Stella's class, and Ms Stella has been extremely caring and communicative with us. When we drop our daughter off at Stepping Stone we know she's being treated like family. We can't thank the team enough for everything. Highly recommend!

I never thought I would be a working mom who had no choice but to drop their babies off at daycare…read more I was lucky enough to have a stay-at-home mom until I was kindergarten age, and I highly value the amount of love, security, closeness and comfort I had staying at home. Needless to say, finding a daycare for my two kids (3yo & 5mo) was extremely difficult with feelings of guilt, distrust and insecurity to name a few. Since my kids have been at Stepping Stone, I have grown to not only trust Stepping Stone's faculty and staff... I absolutely adore them! My 3 year old had a really hard time transitioning, but the staff's patience, understanding and empathy toward him truly showed me how much they cared about making him feel comfortable, welcome and included. I love how often they send me pictures throughout the day and how happy my littles are when coming home. I don't at all feel like I'm doing my kids some type of injustice by going to daycare, instead, I feel like the diversity in this environment is enriching their childhood more than I could be at home while trying to work. Some things to note: - Doors remain locked at all times with a security code for entry - Kids are required to pass temperature checks & is logged every day before going to class - Facility and playground is clean with up-to-date / not raggedy toys & equipment - I typically receive 2 -3 pictures per day per child - Food is provided - Discounts are offered for multiple children I will HIGHLY recommend Stepping Stone - WBP to ANY parent looking for PT/FT childcare. Shout out to Ms. Brenda, Ms. Donna & the Seedlings & Readers' Classes!

Now our youngest attends in the twos class and she looks forward to school every day. We love the low staff turnover, the music and spanish programs, the outdoor play space, and the emphasis on play-based learning focused on responsibility and social-emotional development, without sacrificing academic and classroom expectations, taught by certified teachers with combined decades of experience. This school is a gem!

Our oldest daughter started at 2 years old, and is now in kindergarten here, our youngest started in 2s as well, and is now in 3s. Everyday they LOVE to go, and it makes me feel comfortable leaving them in a place they genuinely love, with people that LOVE them too. It is a smaller school, and therefore you really get to know other parents and teachers. They communicate well, and use an app to send pictures throughout the day! They also offer aftercare program in case you have to work later (my kids don't want to leave aftercare). They have so much fun with learning, and spend ample time outside in the beautiful playground and covered, turfed area, oh, and a wonderful garden! I cannot say enough about the teachers and the staff, they are just true angels in earth, and we are so blessed and thankful for them. It has been a beautiful thing that they have gotten to teach two of our children, and we have made some lifelong friendships here.

The school year wasn't even close to starting! For a not-for-profit this is a fairly shameful business practice and a terrible moral example to our children. After I explained my position to the (at least right now current) head Brian he looked me in the eye and agreed the tuition fee refund I was asking for was fair - to which he then sent an email days later rescinding this and denying me a refund. Shady beyond belief. For these reasons I would not recommend sending your child to IST.

The teachers are engaged and really focus on well rounded goals. We switched mid year from a disappointing experience at public school and can't even compare the two as it's night and day experience. We love the focus on community and that families are so involved and connected. I also love that every single person on campus from teachers to admin know our whole families names and help us feel so welcome and loved. I'm so grateful this curriculum exists and look forward to many wonderful years ahead.

The teachers there…read morewere kind, attentive, and consistent about updating daily events and activities, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, our experience in the toddler room was very different. The front entrance door that uses a key code did not always close and lock properly, and the toddler gate leading to the right hallway did not lock securely, which raised safety concerns. A lot of times at pick up that hallway also smelled like a trash bag of poop was stored somewhere. Many toys were kept on high shelves and out of reach, leading children to climb on the shelf in order to access them. During transitions and diaper changes, children were often left without activities, resulting in restlessness and pacing. Cleanup also fell almost entirely on the teachers, as children were not taught or encouraged to help put toys away, which appeared to limit the teachers' ability to support children who were struggling emotionally. Communication was also difficult. At pickup, teachers were understandably busy managing multiple children, but there was little insight into how my daughter's day had gone. Messages sent through the app often had delayed responses. There was also a required supply list that included items such as a water paint kit, colored pencils, a paint apron, and crayons, but these supplies were never used in the classroom. My 2.5-year-old thrives in a structured environment. In this classroom, much of the day was unstructured free play, and she struggled significantly. During her final full week, she spent most of each day sitting and crying. She appeared overwhelmed, isolated, and unable to engage. On three consecutive days, photos shared as "gym activities" showed children sitting against a wall watching the teacher, whereas earlier in her enrollment gym time involved active movement and play. That earlier structure had been far more appropriate for her needs. While the staff were kind, the lack of structure and engagement negatively affected my child's well-being and ultimately led us to seek a different environment. Although another classroom was offered, seeing her cry consistently on the camera and struggle at drop-off made it difficult to continue.

My kids attended this school for about 8 months…read more There are a few pros including: access to cameras, full Spanish immersion, multiple rooms around the school (library, gym, playground) to make it more like a real school. However, I think the cons may out weigh the benefits. Some of my complaints include: there didn't seem to be any sort of curriculum in the toddler classrooms and barely any toys or activities done. They just wandered aimlessly a lot of the time. I know this age is hard, but since moving her to a new school, I've noticed just how much INIC was lacking. A lot of the staff don't speak English at all which made it difficult to communicate at times to figure out what went on/any issues with kids during the day. A big thing for me was my kids were sick literally every single week by the weekend. They'd recover by Monday and be sick again by the next weekend. It was miserable. My kids have gone to many different schools and camps but they have never been as sick as when they attended here. All that said, I think it really makes a difference who the teacher is, because we loved the communication and kindness of our oldest's teacher. I think overall they just have a lot of growing to do to make curriculum more robust and the structure/rules, and maybe cleanliness comparable to other schools/daycares.

Had to pull out our kiddo after seeing safety issues. Also there is so much turnover with teachers. My kiddo was always telling me of a new person teaching that the admins never told us about. Lack of communication and when I asked the admins questions, they snapped at me and got defensive. Then I looked at the licensing reports after one parent pulled out her infant for big safety concerns (documented in a high violation). Small school and so many teachers have left. In 2024 so far many violations including untrained teachers. We are thriving at our new school and it's cheaper, staff is nicer (communicates at least without snapping) and is a safer place for our little one. Also located right under a 5 G tower (see the other review - it's unsafe for that reason too). Here is the mess I found from licensing. I was shocked to read the reports. https://childcare.hhs.texas.gov/Public/InspectionAndComplianceHistory?operationId=1113756

Our child was diagnosed with ASD and ADHD after leaving FSCS. That said, FSCS never suggested that his behaviors might be due to some sort of developmental delays or neurodivergence. For the cost, I'd think/hope/expect that they would have someone on staff that would be able to help parents identify these types of "issues" early on but it was never suggested that his "behavior issues" might be something to take a longer look at. It was never part of ANY conversation that he/we might benefit from an evaluation for ANYTHING. We were just told (REGULARLY (almost daily)) about behavior issues. So, if you're into paying a premium to be shamed as a caregiver or being made to feel like a less than amazing parent, I encourage you to send your loved one(s) to FSCS.
