Ms. Amaiya has been outstanding with our daughter while she was in Toddler B. Our daughter loves her so much so that now that she has moved on from her class, she will still sometimes refuse to enter the new class unless Ms. Amaiya is there. She has been so great that she'll often at times help take her in the morning until her current teacher is available to get her. We are extremely grateful for her! Currently, our daughter is in Ms. Stephanie's class and she loves and trusts her as well. Ms. Stephanie has been incredible and is always available to give us updates on our daughter's potty training. She encourages her all the time to do things on her own and she's been so crucial for us in helping us potty train our daughter. The front desk of TLE has been amazing as well! Ms. Jessica and her team have done an amazing job and really have given a lot of consistency to the facility that we felt was lacking for a while. Seeing Ms. Jessica's and Ms. Phoenix's faces in the morning always lights up our daughter's face. We are moving away soon and won't be able to send our daughter here. We will truly miss the staff and all they have done for our daughter. They have made such a big impact on our daughter's and our lives and we hope we've made a lasting impression as well.

I get a call from daycare stating my child had slapped a teacher at 4:50pm during nap time. On…read morethe way home, I explained to my child we do not hit teachers. That is not a nice thing to do. We keep our hands to yourself. Well then my daughter proceeds to tell me the teacher squeezed me and it hurt my heart. When she tells me this she sounded sad and hurt. I went into panic mode asking what does that mean? Like you couldn't breathe or were you in pain? I said when we get home, demonstrate to me and your dad what happen. Well we get home and ask more questions, she said momma sit down, I sit down and she sits in between my legs. She said momma push your legs together like this. She said squeeze me, that's what the teacher did to me. So I said did it hurt? she said yes my heart. So when I dropped her off I told the director, I need a meeting. She asked is everything ok, I said yes and no. I didn't want to give her too much info because I didn't want to lose camera footage. They are known to lose footage or they can not play it back. We have our meeting the next day. I explained to her what happened and told her I want to see the cameras. She explains they are live streamed and aren't able to play it back. So happen the area manager was there. I said what do you mean you can't play them back and so what is the point of having them? So she takes me to the area manager to explain the process of the cameras. She asked what do I want to see. I said a teacher squeezed my daughter and she asked for the teachers name. We go over what happened. They explain I understand if I was in your shoes I would be a concerned parent too and I don't think that teacher would do that. I know you and your family have been here since ******* was a baby. Our priority is to make sure your child is safe but we also want to advocate for our teachers too. They tried to reassure me but it didn't work. The director writes my statement, stated they would question the teacher and get her statement, then they would turn this into licensing, licensing would then investigate the school and then licensing would reach out to me to question the situation. They said in the mean time we will keep this teacher and your daughter in separate rooms. I'm still upset because my child has been here since she was 6 months old and it was like they didn't care. At that point my child turned into a number. We wrap up the meeting. My daughter wanted to go home with her dad, so we go get her things and as we are walking out, my daughter points to the wall and said that's the teacher that squeezed me. Mind you she is on the wall for teacher of the month. So I told myself submit the situation yourself. So I go on the website for daycare abuse and submitted a report. Well when I submitted it, I didn't get a confirmation email or anything. So I find out licensing came to daycare but no one was telling me anything. So then I go back to state website and call the 800 number. That same day licensing reaches out to me. We are talking and she's asking questions. She says something that triggers that she is going off my report. I said what? I said wait you didn't get a report from daycare, she said no. I receive this from an online report. I said you came on Monday and I asked them if you came. They were acting like they submitted the report like they were helping. They didn't want to report this because they were already under an investigation. At that point before I had talked to licensing something told me to pull my daughter out and I did. I went in to get a document signed and the director says Brie's not here, is she coming tomorrow, I said nope and then she asked is she coming Friday? I said nope and she then say is she coming back at all and I said nope. She said did you tell anyone. I said I was getting to that. I said my daughter will not be back and she then hands me the withdrawal form. I signed the form and left. I wasn't going to keep my daughter here. The trust from this facility was gone after they didn't report to licensing, my daughter would say she hated this school or she was scared to go in. I couldn't do it. She had went through 5-6 teachers alone in preschool. She doesn't even acknowledge the school when we pass it. That should tell you something. She use to say that's my school. Trust me, it hurt to make that decision because she also had friends she grew up with since they were 6 months old but I did not feel safe leaving her there with her comments.

While the building and supplies provided are great it is truly the staff that makes it special. Mrs. Leti and Ms. Brianna have been absolutely amazing along with the rest of the staff that work with them. As a first time mom they have truly helped me get my child on a schedule, supported her though health challenges and just overall are incrediable humans. They model how I want my child to act and I feel they truly love my child like their own. We would not be as far as we are in milestones without them. They are patient and kind and I feel like they are my village for my child, I could not be happier!

It was beyond unsatisfactory, it was unsafe. I am a first time mother and there are now flags that I will never miss again. For one, this claims to be a Montessori based program in philosophy, but there are bouncers in the room. Infant room usage of containers was excessive. I received photos of my child in a bouncer regularly and was a bit confused by this as we don't ever use them at home. What I later found was that my child was having difficulty sleeping on site and the team were allowing him to sleep in the bouncer because he refused otherwise. Odd given that he has never slept in one at home. The overuse of Boppy pillows with incorrect and unsafe body positioning was alarming; I received a photo while my child was sliding down it and crying. My child came home with one of the worst rashes he has ever had, red inflamed blotchy skin from front to back. Come to find out chatting with other parents this was a concern shared with their team. The teachers will allay your concerns and say no worries and they'll change the baby every hour, but there seems to be communication breakdowns between morning and afternoon staff. Our final straw was safe sleep and bottle propping. I shared concerns with the director of me directly observing my son being placed to sleep on his stomach and that a child had milk spilling down her face while bottle was propped as she was in a boppy pillow. Not much changed. Around the same time licensing came in and per their report (which is public!) the inspector observed 5 different infants put to sleep on their bellies. My impression became after this inspection my sons teacher blamed me for this inspection as she told another parent it was due to parent complaint, taking zero responsibility for the fact the entire infant team nearly was engaging in UNSAFE and DANGEROUS sleep practices. I understand mistakes. I do not understand team culture disregarding what major organizations and trainings provided state. Infants can die from that. It is beyond ridiculous to even behave in a passive aggressive fashion towards a parent for this concern but also to try to lie when the information is public. The pressure to grow and add more children is showing on these educators and caregivers. Slow down, sunrise. The care has gone from what years ago folks were thrilled about to turning into worse than a major daycare corp.

Both children were given the space, and their own individual needs to succeed. The staff and leader ship have always been transparent about how many children were doing and what they were doing, which reassured me on how they were doing throughout the day. Communication lines I've always been open with teachers and my messages have always been conveyed if I had any. My kids were always given the time and consideration that they needed, especially my son. When he entered the junior toddler classroom as he was scared to be away from me every day, they gave him extra cuddles until he was comfortable to play on his own. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a nurturing place for their child.

He was also being bullied, and nothing was handled properly. On top of that, I also noticed a serious lack of confidentiality. Personal information about families and their situations was openly discussed among staff and even shared with other parents, which is completely unprofessional and unsafe. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this daycare. Families deserve a place that is safe, respectful, and supportive, and unfortunately this daycare did not provide that for my child. We talk to fellow parents who have had horror stories from other childcare options nearby and they say we are so lucky that we found St. Philips first. Another mom attended as a child and drives 45 minutes so her son can get the same care. The pricing is also amazing - they currently offer 2, 3, and 5 day options from 9-2. My daughter comes home and naps for 2-3 hours so the schedule works perfectly for us. There is not teacher turnover like at other places either. These women live in the community with us and have been teaching at St. Philips for years. My daughter is currently in Ms. Lee's class and she is an absolute gem. She sends extremely detailed weekly emails going over our curriculum for the week and topics to talk about around the dinner table. It makes me feel like I'm not missing out or out of the loop. She also shares her funny moment of the week and I love hearing stories about funny things our kids say to her haha. For an anxious mom, I also love that I can see hundreds of photos that they upload to our private shared Google drive. The amount of creativity that these teachers have is insane! They have turned the entire building into a railroad station and the north pole for Christmas, a massive candy land board game, and many many more. The art projects cover every inch of the room and it is such a happy place. My jaw literally drops when I see the pictures! My daughter tells me that she wishes she could go to school everyday. This was her first school experience so we were worried about her being overstimulated or overwhelmed in the beginning but literally the first day was the only hard drop off. On day 2 she walked in like a complete champ! I honestly wish we signed her up for the 2s class a year earlier! The potty training curriculum would have helped us! Haha I like that it isn't a massive facility where I feel like my kid could get lost (three 13 person classes). It honestly feels like a family and such a safe environment. I was also raised catholic, but am not religious now. I've been around those environments before that can be kinda toxic and this place is completely loving and inclusive. It is a small part of their curriculum so I wouldn't let that piece take them off the table if it is a concern. My daughter also surprises me with how much she is learning. Her letter recognition and sounds have really benefited from their curriculum and daily phonics song. Last week she said "pig....puh puh....pig starts with P just like my name!!" She also is really fascinated about the days of the week, months, weather, etc. so even though the socialization and emotional regulation are the most important facets at this age, she is absorbing information like a sponge.
