The manager admitted to handling my boat without my consent or knowledge and that it was his right to do so. Owner and manager have refused to compensate for the damages after several months of back and forth emails. Owner tried to get his insurance to pay for the damage but I'm assuming was denied since he has not responded to me for several months. Manager stated they are not responsible for damage to vessel - even if they were the last to handle the boat. First, this is not written into the mooring agreement and if it were, this would be deemed unconscionable. Just absurd.

They never responded to my request-just ignored me, so I challenged the charge with my credit card company, I am not sure why they are surprised, I did contact Pelican Bay first on two separate occasions. I am now banned from their facility and being refunded, not for the Buckstein tickets I purchased, but for the upcoming concert tickets, I already purchased tickets for. WOW, seems a little over the top, they could have just called me back or responded to my email, and apologies for the kinks. I feel like Erik is a 13-year girl, and I am her mother who just told her, her skirt was too short.

My group lost nearly an hour of paid rental time waiting for help. The manager (with her daughter) confirmed the boat was inoperable, and after almost an hour of waiting for them to come help us and check the boat, we swapped boats with them. At checkout, the manager assured me l'd receive a partial refund and no gas charge. Instead, I was billed an extra $31.50. I followed up three times and was promised call-backs from the owner, Steve, but no one ever contacted me. After weeks of being ignored, I had to dispute the charge with my bank, which ruled in my favor and refunded 50% of my rental. It was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

The prices listed on the website is for the boat only. It does not include gas. 4. They had half day or all day rentals available. 5. If you want to pull a tube behind, the tubes they sell in the marina span between $150-$260!!! YIKES. You will also need a tow rope and y line and that will add another $70. I called all over to see if there was a place that would rent these items and the answer is no :( We used one of our river tubes from home and well it was not the BEST but the girls made the most of it. 6. when you get there you go down around back of the marina and go to the building with the blue roof to check in at. 7. you can bring food and beverages on the boats, but if you make too much of a mess you will get charged a cleaning fee. 8. they will hold your drivers license and credit card while you are out on the boat. 9. They do give a you a boat talk to tell you how to make the boat run. The fellas down at the dock where very friendly. They were helpful and really made everyone feel comfortable. They helped us figure out how to tie our tube on even though it was not quite what they are used to. They also hooked up our y hook up and towline. 10. After you done, you will want to go up to the marina to pay. They take your stuff up there. That was not totally clear and i was hanging around down at the dock. You can paddleboard and kayak down below the marina if you want. You are not supposed to swim in the lake except at the swim beach.

Not pieces of metal missing, paint chips. They had no proof it wasn't like that previously and the price for a few flecks of paint is ridiculous. Additionally, losing a little bit of paint is normal wear and tear for a boat and can be exacerbated by sediment in the water. Given the amount of boats on the lake that day, and that the bottom is mostly sediment, I'm sure there was a ton of sediment free floating that contributed to this. Do not trust these people, especially Chris the guy in charge of rentals. Such a sour person. As some other reviews have said, he needs to get another job because he's not very good at this one and is a grifter. Avoid this place and go to a better marina and reservoir.

My recent walk with my pup allowed us a peaceful day and we spotted a hawk, many (very many!) gulls and even a Pronghorn family. Nature is beautiful here at the res. Once again, the restrooms and children's play area are undergoing a few minor improvements. While these areas are closed, the rest of the park is open. Note that the parks pass does not allow entry to the reservoir. Visitors can purchase day passes, paying by check, credit card or Apple Pay are accepted.

There was plenty of parking available that time of day. This reservoir not only has a swim beach, but many other activities as well such as, boating including a marina with boat rentals, fishing, camping, 35 miles of hiking trails, an off leash dog park & even a shooting range. Note, In renewing my car registration I purchased the Keep Colorado Wild Pass for $29, that covers entrance fees for all the state parks in Colorado for one year. If you don't have the pass, prices are $10-$12 per day with Colorado plates. There was a little bit of a walk from the parking lot to the water. On our way there we passed by available life jackets if you need them & bathrooms. This reservoir & beach were big. It had a pretty view of the city & mountains in the distance. The beach was nice, it was sandy & the water felt great, just a little cool getting in. There were some rocks in the water to look out for, so water shoes might be a good idea. I didn't like the "green seaweed stuff" floating around in spots & the wasps in some areas where the beach edge meets the water. There was very little shade near the water too. Next time we will bring a pop up canopy tent. However, there are some really big shade trees away from the water. I'm looking forward to visiting again!
