I have been bringing my dogs here for 13 years and have paid approximately $75 every month for their wellness program--over $18,000 in total. When my 12-year-old dog developed an emergency, they refused to see her because they were "booked for the week." There was no attempt to work her in, no compassion, and no concern for a senior dog in need. Instead, I was told there were "plenty of other clinics" I could take her to. After more than a decade of loyalty and thousands of dollars spent, I expected my veterinarian to be there when my dog actually needed medical care--not just for routine visits that keep money coming in. The moment an urgent situation arose, we were treated like complete strangers. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic that will be there for your pet during an emergency, I cannot recommend this one. Loyalty clearly means nothing here. Save yourself the disappointment and find a clinic that values its patients when it matters most.

Recently, I came home from work to see some accidents around my house. My little girl hadn't been feeling well, but it was getting worse. So I called them hoping they could give me some advice since it was after 5 PM on a Friday. They told me that based on what I explained, they would likely recommend her going to the overnight emergency hospital because it sounded like she would need surgery posthaste. She didn't want me to bring her there because she didn't want me to be charged for the visit if they were going to send her to the emergency hospital anyways. I really appreciated that. The next day, we took her in and they helped us find a vet that would do an emergency Saturday surgery without an appointment. Ms. Cynthia even called somewhere for us to hopefully get in. We went where she said and she even called me a little while later to see if we were able to get something worked out and to check on my Peyton. Even though they were not able to help me this one time, they still helped me through my tears, and helped find someone who could do a surgery on such short notice. AND they called to follow up with how she was doing. That is top notch in my book, and I love that they care about animals and what they're doing.

I would have appreciated clearer communication about what to expect from the medication and what the next steps would be if it didn't help. Based on this experience, I'm unhappy with the service and follow-up I received.

Unfortunately, my interactions with the front desk staff were the complete opposite. On two separate occasions, I called in a panic because my senior dog was experiencing a medical emergency. Instead of receiving empathy or assistance, I was laughed at by Lennon, hung up on by Lennon and Destiny, and even asked by Destiny if I wanted to "take it to the parking lot to sort it out." Those interactions were shocking and completely unacceptable, especially from employees who are often the first point of contact for worried pet owners. When people call a veterinary clinic during an emergency, they are scared, emotional, and looking for guidance. Compassion, professionalism, and basic customer service should be the minimum expectation. Instead, I was met with hostility and disrespect, which only added to an already stressful situation. Dr. Goble deserves recognition for the care shown to the animals, but she allowed the behavior of the reception staff which overshadowed my entire experience. I sincerely hope the clinic addresses these issues because no pet owner should be treated this way when seeking help for a beloved family member.

They've known him since they could carry him around with one hand. And they helped us when it was time to say goodbye to our loving cat Abigail. She was with us for 27 years. It felt as if one of our own children had passed. And they were with us every step of the way. Checking in on us. Sending us cards. Even on the anniversary of her passing. When ever Rerun or Goose have to go in for anything, they act as if it were a trip to a friend's house. Who wouldn't want that for their pets. Especially when we have to leave them behind. Whether for a trip or just the day. Our Animals are always looking happy when we drop them off or pick them up. That does my heart good.

He wasn't eating or drinking and he started vomiting every few minutes. I called TLC and told them I was traveling back east on the interstate and needed an OTC medicine that I could find at a truck stop or gas station mini-mart for Nala's motion sickness. Dr. Richardson got on the phone, and started consulting her medical books to determine a safe OTC medicine I could give Nala, the correct SAFE dosage, frequency, and advised of the best way to administer it to my cat. I immediately sought out the medicine and gave Nala the first dose, as instructed. Within 20 minutes, Nala was feeling better, drinking water again, and resting comfortably. Dr. Richardson called me back two more times during the next 48 hrs to check on Nala's status and I was happy to advise Nala did great throughout the rest of the 1,500 mile road trip with no more incidents. That level of genuine care and emergency veterinary support I received in that situation with my cat, while traveling (**without any compensation**) is something I have never before experienced with a veterinarian and that is why I ONLY trust the veterinarians at TLC Animal Hospital to care for my (current and future) FURR-BABIES. For those concerned about costs - I understand, however, TLC DOES cooperate with online sites, such as 1-800 PETMEDS. PLEASE NOTE: ***TLC also DOES NOT include ADJUVENTS in VACCINES!!
