My Uncle owns a large company - and when I told him about my business insurance woes - he recommended Shorepoint insurance to me. Specifically Peter Green. Within a couple of weeks Peter and Adriana sourced and secured higher insurance than I was carrying for a lower price with ease. They are both very professional and I'm lucky to have found them! I now have business, property and business vehicles insured with them and feel super safe! UPDATED June 2023 After a stone on the freeway damaged my glass on my Range Rover, I called the insurance company to claim. They were trying to pressure me to use THEIR (non dealer) glass people and NON OEM (factory) parts threatening that, "if you don't go to Safeglass or if you have to use factory parts you may be responsible for the additional fees." I asked the insurance adjustor to forward me that in an e-mail. I called Adriana at Shorepoint Insurance, she asked me to forward the e-mail to her. This is what she responded on my behalf after checking the policy: Dear claims dept: As far as I know, there is nothing in the policy that limits OEM parts. There are provisions, but they apply to any non-factory installed parts or equipment. The insured's responsibility is the $500 deductible. Please forward the policy form that limits OEM parts coverage. I've attached a Mercury form that states "Original manufacturer, permanently attached factory parts will be covered without limitations". See CA, AZ, NV Non-Factory Equipment PPA PDF. Furthermore, the insured has the right to select the auto body repair shop. She is not limited to a specific repair shop per the California Auto Body Repair Consumer Bill of Rights (attached). If there is any contradiction to the above-stated facts, please forward a copy of the form from the policy. If you have any questions, please let me know. WOW, now THAT'S service. I had been using Shorepoint for my auto & home policies through Mercury for many years, but lately, I've received terrible customer service, so I opted to change insurance plans specifically so that I would no longer have to deal with Shorepoint. I had an issue where my Mercury auto insurance premium took a jump, so I inquired about changing insurance companies through them. They provided me a quote for a lower price through for a different insurance company, then just a couple days before I was due for renewal with Mercury, I received an email informing me that the quote they provided was no good and that the best price I could get was through Mercury. And, I understand that mistakes happen; however, more recently, I've had another bad experience. I was simply trying to speak to the agent who was assigned to me (they've changed my agent several times over the years, and I hadn't spoken to this person before). I called and left a message to speak to her at 8:49 am. Then I called again 1:08 pm and left another message. And, finally, I receive a call back at 3:13 pm. So, it took two messages and ~6.5 hours from my first call to hear back. I shouldn't have to try this hard to get a hold of someone to speak to; it's easier tracking someone down from the cable company. read more

I recently changed jobs, and with that came a difficult decision: use Cobra to cover the gap in my insurance coverage that resulted from the job change, and subsequently say goodbye to my social life and delicious food, and hello to nights spent at home and Top Ramen, OR take a risk and live insurance free for a few months, wrapped in bubble wrap and stuffed with vitamins. I went the insurance free route and was immediately struck with a mysterious low grade fever that lasted for three weeks. The mystery fever was enough to make me crawl back to the land of insurance coverage, and a friend altered me to a third option - individual insurance. I called Shorepoint on a friend's recommendation. When I called Melissa, she was very helpful in finding me medical and dental insurance at a price that was completely reasonable. In fact, it was only slightly more than my previous employee contribution. When I was ready to cancel a few months later, Melissa was extremely helpful in ensuring that I was refunded for two months of insurance coverage i was still charged. The agency my husband and I were with for several years went out of business; our account was transferred to Shorepoint, and Theresa was our contact person.
