The Pretzel was also very good, but the standout was the bar cheese sauce, which appears more of a creamy fondue than straight cheese wiz and was very flavorful. Main dishes were the Pollock Fish Basket with Fries, Chicken Quesadilla with Lime Rice and the Steak Bites App with a side of Broccoli. Everything was very good,l and the food was hot and service super fast. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and dining right on the lake is always a plus. Plus we didn't have a wait arriving at 6:30ish on a Saturday evening. Bent Prop Pub earned a five star review due to its food, ambiance, staff and being a nice little gem of a restaurant and pub tucked away in a sleepy section of the Eastern shore of Coldwater Lake. Would definitely go back when we are back up in the area.

I've have their pizza a couple of times and highly recommend it! The restaurant itself is kind of small, which means it can feel a bit crowded some nights. One fun aspect of Dark Horse, however, is that the walls (and ceilings!) are lined with custom mugs, each belonging to a Dark Horse regular. This gives the bar a special charm that makes it feel unique. Something to note is that the service can be pretty slow when they're busy.

Our first waitress (we went an hour before shift change) was really sweet, but our last waitress informed us about the beer/drink limit for the bar. However, our previous waitress was filling our glasses nonstop and my husband wasn't driving, I was drinking Pepsi Zero. The manager shows up after requesting her, with a major attitude and a definite need of a makeover and proceeded to inform us that there was a "companywide" limit on alcohol. First of all, you're an establishment, not a company. You have all of 2 locations. (Another group of people were walking out with us, and they also had the same problem and there words exactly were "lets go get some real drinks, ones that don't cost $14 and let's go somewhere we can actually drink." WOW!) On a side note, why do you have more than 5 host/hostesses (who are all on their phones, even though they're not "supposed to be")? You need 2-3. Why do you have 30-50 waitstaff for an establishment that warrants 10 at best? Do you enjoy bleeding money? If you're looking for a job where you can stand around and do nothing all day this is the place for you. We won't be returning to any of your "company" establishments.
