I was traveling through the area and looking for a Pizza place for dinner. My first option was closed to I decided to take a chance on Rugiono's. First impressions were that this is a Mom and Pop place that I am guessing has been around for quite awhile and known to the locals. There were not many people in the establishment on this Sunday evening. The waitress was friendly and invited us to sit wherever we wanted. Rugiono's appears to need a bit of a face lift. There was a Pepsi fridge in the dining area and it was we could see cheese being stored in there. The decor was dated and there was a pile of boxes that could be seen at the end of the restaurant. We ordered a few personal pizza's, a Grinder (or sub) and some breadsticks to start out meal. I have to admit when the breadsticks came out I was confused. They looked more like pizza triangles with cheese on them. However, when I took a bite, I was pleasantly surprised the cheese was fantastic, and the dough was on point. It made me excited to get my pizza. Once the pizza came, I was very pleased. I did takeoff the jalapeños because it was too spicy for me, but everything else was fantastic on the menu. It says that they make their dough fresh every day and you could really taste that they do. I was not as impressed with the grinder and the potato wedges that came with it tasted like they've been in the freezer too long. I still have to give this place four stars though, because I loved the pizza! I would love to see Rugiono's get a makeover, but for Pizza I would definitely go again if I am in the area. read more

1st time visit here under new ownership. Pleasantly surprised how good the food & service were. We had a party of 7 and surrounded the bar. Everyone's food was amazing. Loaded potatoes app & cheese bread app highly recommended. I had the Chicago style beef grinder- 1/2 was plenty for 2 people. Wife had the Rugiannos grinder- like a French dip. Potato wedges were also tasty. We'll be back. Next time we'll get a pizza for sure. read more

Came in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Had the place to myself, Was pleasantly greeted and then given a list of half a dozen things they were out of, including onion rings and tomatoes. Tomatoes? Really? You couldn't stop by the grocery store on your way in and buy a couple of tomatoes? Nonetheless, I ordered the Chicago Style beef. Was expecting something like an Italian Beef, but it really wasn't. Looked like two pieces of focaccia bread with a good amount of cheese, peppers, onions, and a secret olive oil sauce that gave it just the slightest kick. This was pressed together in a sandwich toaster like Panera has. Oh yeah, and there was chopped up beef on the sandwich, but not enough to take notice of. The sandwich could have been great if they put more meat on it, and for $11, it should have. Enjoyed waffle fries on the side. Food came out fast, was hot, and good. since the new owners took over we've only had it once and it wasn't as good as it used to be but it was alright. decided to give it another try and while I was paying the waitress was on her cellphone reading texts and then told me it would be right out so I sat and waited. She then walked By me and said it wouldn't be done until 1:15. it was 12:50 and my mom had placed the order way before and told them I would be there at 12:45. so I told the waitress I was going to go down to dollar general and shop (Bc I didn't want to sit in there and had someone in my car waiting) I wasn't mad or had any attitude. I'm one of those that don't like to complain at restaurants I dont want anyone spitting in my food. Anyway while I was still inside the restaurant I call my mom and tell her it's going to be longer bc of the Time mixup and she insisted she told them 12:45 and she seemed annoyed they got the wrong time. Then she mentions she says quarter of 1. So I'm telling my mom that the younger generation doesn't really use those terms anymore and that she should just say the actual time. The waitress walks by me eavesdropping On my convo and says with an attitude she said 1:15. That actually really upset me. I had been nice and patient and never complained or anything. I was actually trying to make my mom not upset by telling her they could have gotten confused by her way of saying the time. So I went to the counter bc I was pissed and i was going to ask for a refund but my mom was like you're already there just wait. it's already ordered. So I sit back down and call my son to tell him to come in and wait with me. While on the phone she brings me my refund. I never canceled it, never made a seen. She doesn't say anything just hands me the money, had very bitchy body language and face. I was told her name was hailey. I then did complain bc of how I was treated to another girl bc a manager wasn't in and she was very polite about it. There was a group of elderly eating and one had to flag her down to get water and then one went back Twice and grabbed her own to go boxes because the waitress wasn't being helpful to them. Not to mention there's a table right by where they keep the to go boxes and had a tablecloth on it with the sub bread sitting out in the open. not just a few but the bread filled the table. That to me didn't seem sanitary. idk if Hailey was having a bad day or what but she really did make Rugianos lose customers read more

We're out of towners and were looking for some place for lunch. What a find! My husband and I both got the half grinder, fries and drink combo for 8.95. The half grinders are about 9 inches long. I got the pizza grinder with pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. It was fantastic. They make their own bread and sauces. The pizza sauce was excellent and garlicky. My husband got the cheesesteak grinder. The meat was excellently seasoned. Fabulous sandwich. The cheesesteak came with au jus, and it didn't need it, the sandwich was great on its own, but the au jus was great too. Thanks for the great lunch. Definitely a place to revisit. read more

Our family vacations up on Lake Pleasant about 20 min away, WELL WORTH the drive to Fremont! Old timey building, beautiful tin tile ceiling, floor could have used a little polish but the store was pretty clean. The food was absolutely delicious, generous portions. We started with cheese sticks, could have used marinara, but good flavor. We got grinders, I got the turkey and ham "whole" grinder to share with our son, it was HUGE, half would have been plenty to share, GREAT FLAVOR, I choose onion rings as my side, home made, VERY GOOD! My husband got the cheesesteak, very yummy, LOTS of cheese and Auju. He got potato wedges, they were EXCELLENT! Lots of leftovers to bring back to our cabin. This place is very easy to over look as it really isn't anything special inside or outside but don't let that keep you away. This place has amazing food with a wonderful selection of grinders and pizza along with salads and nachos. A bonus is they serve beer and wine. My husband had the meat lovers pizza which was very good. Their delicious homemade pizza dough had a layer of wonderfully seasoned sauce and the bacon was perfectly crispy. I had the half Italian combo grinder which again was made with their delicious dough topped with so much meat and toppings that I couldn't even finish the half. (The next morning I used the grinder ingredients and made the best scrambled eggs for breakfast. Yummy) Their onion rings are about the best we've ever had. Don't miss the orginal tin ceiling when you're in there and sit in the front window seats if they are open. You have a great view to people watch. Can't wait to go back and try another selection. i'm going to rate it a 3 usually LOVE this place, but last time we went out waitress never checked on us and our food was all wrong dropped off our check and never asked why we didn't touch our food nor wait long enough for us to talk. i know she was running the place by herself but she had one other table and that was it. paid 30$ for untouched food. my sub has no meat in it and it was the phily cheese steak which is expensive because it's prime rib and i had more cheese then anything. and my friend had a club and it was drenched in mayo and had no let or tomato. won't be back read more

I'm highly dissappointed not in their food however their customer service. Long story short we placed a delivery order, picked up came home to discover the order was incorrect. We called to let them know the order was incorrect which is where my disappointment began. I was told that one they were now out of one topping item (again fine, just one topping less), I was then told they would need me to bring the pizza back to "prove" I had in fact received the incorrect order (now a little annoyed to be treated as if a lier), we wait the additional 15 minutes from the already 20 minute wait time, now having to travel again bringing in the incorrect pizza to be handed a dollar for my missing topping item. No you can take the incorrect pizza (even through it was touched to find it was incorrect), no refund, no coupon... nothing for the whole error besides knowing I'm a "lier" and all the extra inconvenience experienced is only worth a dollar. read more

Try their Chicago Style Beef Grinder.. get a whole cause it is excellent left over by reheating in the oven cause there are no vegetables on it ! They use an olive oil based dressing that they drizzle on the grinder that has minced jalapenos and minced black olives. Its like putting crack on a Grinder. 1 bite and I bet you'll agree !
