Robert was very nice, we were in and out. He was very kind when my 17 yr old had questions about an older car he had there.

Robert was open on 4th of July and quoted my tire to be swapped out for less than the Ubers I was taking. Not the worst place but definitely not the best quoted me a price over the phone so went there over some other shops to save money once I got there and he had my tires off said it would be a different price so that being said go at your own risk the place has a nice ambiance cool looking old collection of antiques and some lowrider cars but I probably wouldn't be coming back. read more

So i was looking for a tire shop to mount some wheels that had tires already on and I decided to call Shorty's Tire shop. My first question was making sure what time they closed so I asked, 'hello, I was jus wondering what time your shop closed?' This employee who picked up rudely answered, 'NOW' when it clearly closes at 7pm so it says and it was around early 6pm when I called. While still in bewilderment about that answer I asked another simple quick question, 'What time do you guys open tomorrow?' Employee replies, 'EIGHT!' With those answers I said, 'alright thank you!' And this employee says nothing and hangs up immediately as if i was completely ruining his day. Now I know everyone hates answering the phone and would prefer being messaged/texted, but wow I was in for a rude awakening when whoever it was answered the phone for a few simple questions. I've been coming to shortys since the beginning of the year and I can tell you right now. STAY AWAY. These are the people that will throw nails out on the road so you have to get your tires fixed/replaced. I've had to constantly go back for continuous work that wasn't previously an issue. Their wheel alignment machine doesn't work very well cause they leave my steering wheel not straight. I've had my registration sticker stolen when I left it there over night. Not to mention there was damage on my bumper from apparently hitting the dumpster. I have been more than patient with these people and now they're just taking advantage of me giving them the benefit of the doubt. My car had a bad knocking noise coming from The passenger front wheel and when he looked at it he said it was the sub frame bushings which were $450 to change, which I did. The noise didn't go away. Then he said a control arm which was another $250, which I did. THE NOISE DID NOT GO AWAY! It ended up being the motor Mount. Which was another $200. I took it to another shop and within 2 minutes they found the where the noise was coming from and identified for me which part I needed. The owner of shortys tires is always upset and ruins the entire vibe for everyone, I literally just called and tried to speak with him and I can hear him in the back saying "I don't want to talk to him". There are good people working for shorty but they're paid by the job so everything is rushed and the quality of work is sub par, that's why their prices are cheap. I went down the street to get an actual wheel alignment after they fixed my control arm. I told them about the nightmare of my experience and he said, "let me guess, you went to shortys tires" and both of the clerks started busting out laughing really loudly. In a time when customer service in our country is waning, it's eminent to find service where standards of workmanship are reminiscent of when it was the norm. The majority of people working 9-5 during the week have expectations to tend to responsibilities and productivity on the weekend. This cultural presumption doesn't work if stores are closed on weekends. "Shorty's Tire & Auto Repair" meets that criterion. I called on Sunday and was able to have 4 new tires swapped out the same day. That simple. If you have a vagina please don't go here. My experience here was not pleasant. I pulled up made eye contact with the I assume is the boss. Started walking towards him and he saw another car pulling up with a guy in it. So instead of helping me he guided the other car right in front of him and started helping him 1st so I turned around and started walking back towards my car and left because the vagina made me look stupid in his eyes. I came to get two new tires, they gave two used tires, way too small, both different brands/tread/psi ratings. Both tires were way over filled over psi rating. I was ripped off. I decided to get new tires at discount tire co. and return the used ones to shorty's tire shop. The guy gave me the run around for a week telling me he didnt have any cash to refund me, or telling me to call his boss whom I was barely able to understand. Then he told me he would talk to his boss and give me a call, which he didnt. Today I went back and talked to Shorty and he was extremely rude and told me he wont refund me because they were used tires. In short: Garbage service Garbage customer service No regard for customers Total rip-off I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone, this place should be shut down. read more

Needed a tire fixed fast. Was the valve stem. In and out in 15 minutes! NOTE: I first stopped at a nearby big market tire shop with no customers and three guys standing around. They wouldn't help me cause my tire had too much wear and was against policy! Viva the small shops! read more
