This ceremony was everything I wanted and more. Bronwen was absolutely lovely and even after we brought her the wrong documents TWICE (yes, embarrassing) she allowed us to still carry on with the ceremony. If you're looking for something laid back and small but still special I highly recommend this spot. We were able to have our three dogs with us plus another one last minute. The whole experience was lovely. You get two cute little shot glasses which we after took into a local bar for our first shot as a married couple together. SIX STARS! TEN STARS! ONE MILLION STARS! These guys are so wonderful, I can't say enough about how utterly perfect our wedding was. When we became engaged, we realized neither my husband or I wanted to deal with a big wedding- we just wanted a fun, weird low key day that was easy enough that we could really focus on our love, rather than 150 guests. I googled Shotgun Ceremonies, having walked by it dozens of times during First Thursday and shot them an email. They replied immediately and before I knew it we were booked for the next week. We had come up with a somewhat elaborate lie to get our immediate family down there without letting them know why. Shotgun was completely accommodating and helped us pull off the best surprise ever. Bronwen was so kind and warm for my husband and my 10 year vow renewal. We wanted to renew our vows with just us and the kids and this was perfect. I just got married here oct 13th and I have to say they are the best! We rented the space from 12-3, and were gonna get married at 1. My poor now-husbands parents got lost and game day traffic made it super difficult to find parking for them. The ladies were super comforting (and I'm sure have dealt with stressed brides before) kept everyone out front happy while we waited for them to arrive. Everything went amazing when they showed up and everyone kept commenting on how nice it was that they asked personal questions about us and legitimately cared about our experiences and wedding! Left from work early and was able to wear my work clothes and felt comfortable doing so. Wouldn't change this experience. We couldn't think of music we wanted to play. I had no idea what to expect, and I was not dissapointed! The venue is fun and colourful. The women are fantastic, friendly and totally make you feel at home and among friends. My husband and I were married here yesterday. There was a $12 lot (after 5) close by and lots of fun places to go eat/drink at afterwards. We played in the photo booth and love our pictures and shot glasses. They will even file your paperwork if you want! Money well spent. Very satisfied customer, though I will not personally repeat business, I recommend anyone looking to have a quick nontraditional wedding here! read more

My husband and I recently tied the knot and "Took a Shot at Love" at this Las Vegas style wedding chapel. We're not your conventional couple, so we didn't want a dreary courthouse wedding, and neither one of us could afford something to lavish. For us, Shotgun Ceremonies was perfect! Located in Pioneer Square the small, exposed brick, "chapel" comfortably accommodated our small wedding party of about 30 people. A few of our guests were running late causing the ceremony to be delayed about half an hour. Bronwen the founder, owner and "minister" of Shotgun; and her sidekick Sara were so friendly, we never felt rushed. The ceremony itself was fun, romantic, and personal. I had Shotgun Ceremonies come out to Bothell for our wedding ceremony. My husband and I are NOT religious, and we needed officiants who wouldn't press the traditional aspects of a marriage ceremony on us. Shotgun Ceremonies ended up being the perfect answer. We attended a ceremony for our good friends with the Kind Ladies of Shotgun overseeing the details. They were attendant to every detail the couple mentioned as important to them. Given that they had very short notice to arrange everything, I was pleasantly surprised at the results. Although the building was closed for the duration of the ceremony (with appropriate signage at the door to avoid interruptions) passers-by sweetly stopped at the windows (it was a gorgeous day, breezy and sunny) many paused and held hands, wishing well with warm smiles and thumbs up as eyes teared up, and they took a moment to offer affection to each other with kisses and cuddles before moving along. Seeing declarations of new love obviously inspired remembrances of their own. Love truly knows no season. With all the paperwork arranged in advance, there was nothing left after the "I do's" to do but to say thank you and farewell and receive warm wishes and big hugs from the Shotgun team. Although we didn't have much of a challenge because of the time of day and the fact that the total number in our party was four people; I could imagine parking *could* be a challenge under less favorable conditions. read more

It's charming as all get out, and our ceremony was concise and thoughtful. My husband (!!) and I were a bit awkward and not really interested in a big ceremony, and we only brought our two witnesses. But Bronwyn asked us really sweet questions during the actual ceremony, and Sara was carefully listening and played a song we referenced right after we sealed the deal and it almost made me cry. These two ladies knocked it outta the park!!!! My husband did pretty much all of the work of getting the: venue, caterer, entertainment (band and dj) photographer, videographer, purchased alcohol, amongst basically everything else, and of course coordinating with these two officiants. He had written his vows, and ended up leaving them at home without realizing it until about 2 minutes prior to walking down the aisle. Bronwen and Sara knew right about at the same time we did. I reserved a lap dance class through Shotgun Ceremonies for my friend's Bachelorette Party. It was an amazing time! There were erotic cupcakes and two bottles of champagne ready for us when we arrived and our instructor was pretty amazing. I would like to say I WOULD NEVER EVER recommend this place! I called Bronwen to schedule a wedding for my daughter, which I had to cancel several weeks ago. I did not get a return call until this afternoon from Bronwen asking me if my daughter was still planning on getting married. I informed her that I called several weeks ago to cancel, due to issues with the dress and lack of time to pull everything together. Bronwen then informed me that she was not going to refund my $150 deposit. I was extremely upset about this, not too mention I informed her several weeks ago, and she did not return my call until this afternoon. I will be calling the Better Business Bureau to complain about this hell hole and woulld like to inform any of you considering having a wedding here, and change your mind, your deposit will not be REFUNDED. Oh yes, I really wanted to continue to do business with you and use that towards a future wedding, NOT!!!!!!!!! Whatch out soliders or anybody else, just another place to take advantage of YOU! If I was able to chose NO STARS, that is what I would have selected! I am spreading the word in Tacoma, not to use this place! You would be much better off going to a Justice of the Peace! read more
