We tried the Wednesday Prime Rib night tonight and ordered the 16 Oz Prime Rib (Med Rare), Baked Potato with Creamy Horseradish. When asked how we would like the Baked Potato, we said fully loaded. I'll add that we waited 15 minutes before a waiter/waitress even acknowledged us. Our food came out 40 minutes later! The potato was bleak and lukewarm. No butter. No anything. Fully loaded was fully barren. No Aus Ju or horseradish for the Prime Rib either, and the Prime Rib was actually COLD.. Cold to the touch. The waiter took our plate and came back confirming that it was cold, as did the Chef.When asked if we wanted a new order, we politely declined waiting another 40 minutes, paid for our Coke, tipped the waiter, and left. We felt bad for him that his Cook is serving cold food. Not his fault.. Terrible service & even worse food.

Our guide was a delightful young woman attending school in Tucson and studying nuclear medicine, which we thought was incredibly impressive. I have unfortunately forgotten her name, but she was absolutely wonderful, and we really enjoyed talking with her throughout the ride. The trail was easy, relaxing, and perfect for simply enjoying the scenery. We rode mostly through the beautiful pine trees and even passed alongside a small lake where geese were peacefully paddling around. The entire ride lasted about an hour and a half, which felt like the perfect amount of time. Both of our horses had such sweet personalities and were incredibly well behaved, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable from beginning to end. We also met the owner while checking in, and she has the cutest little store. Be sure to arrive early so you have time for a little impulse shopping before your ride! Porter Mountain Stables gave us such a memorable Pinetop experience. Remember to tip your guide, take lots of pictures, and enjoy every minute of your ride through the pines!

My teen age son was nervous but she picked a great horse for him and he was so excited at the end of the ride. He loved it!! My teen age daughter also loved it. The ranch is off the regular path and is a well hidden gem. Its easy to get there and worth it. It is also not as expensive as I expected and worth it. I gave her a big tip.
