This place is a hidden gem! The photos don't do it justice and it's more beautiful in person. I played both courses. The rough is tough and the greens are slick and true. The condition of these courses is suitable for golf pros! I'm not an owner, just visited for a weekend. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended. We want you so very much to be what you once were. A decent place to eat with a nice menu, good sensible food regardless of the price. Your new menu is just as lacking and stupid as the last one. Last time we were there, you were out of 3 things. Go to one of your sister Troon restaurants, which we do frequently, and seek guidance. Don't get me started on your ridiculous hours. Close at 4 pm? Open at 10? Which day what day when? Cabin is just as bad. Where have you gone Torreon? Can't all be Scott's idea. He is the best part of the semblance of what you once had. First get a different chef. someone that is not trying to reinvent the wheel. Just good, sensible food. Charge as much as you need to but make coming by worth while. read more

Save your money & time, and we are even residents at Torreon. I felt compelled to write this to help someone who is considering dining here. We tried the Wednesday Prime Rib night tonight and ordered the 16 Oz Prime Rib (Med Rare), Baked Potato with Creamy Horseradish. When asked how we would like the Baked Potato, we said fully loaded. I'll add that we waited 15 minutes before a waiter/waitress even acknowledged us. Our food came out 40 minutes later! The potato was bleak and lukewarm. No butter. No anything. Fully loaded was fully barren. No Aus Ju or horseradish for the Prime Rib either, and the Prime Rib was actually COLD.. Cold to the touch. The waiter took our plate and came back confirming that it was cold, as did the Chef.When asked if we wanted a new order, we politely declined waiting another 40 minutes, paid for our Coke, tipped the waiter, and left. We felt bad for him that his Cook is serving cold food. Not his fault.. Terrible service & even worse food. read more

Really enjoyed the golf courses and the location during the time we lived in the Torreon community. Didn't like the snobby members, rude staff, and terrible restaurant. Getting a simple hello from a member in passing was a great accomplishment. The staff wasn't much different. Talk about privileged. The golf is great but the communication with the people that run things here has been absolutely horrible. Thet charge fees for everything. I recently was told that I had to pay an activation fee to use the things that we were already paying for. Communication has been really poor and it's just more money on top of more money on top of more money. really don't appreciate the unhelpful and rude people who are supposed to help you when you call all they do is read the policy back to you and tell you that you owe them more money read more

Had the opportunity to play golf at Torreon over this past weekend and felt it was appropriate for a quick review - given my experience. First, it is a private club, and I'm not a member. So I am not biased. How did I get a chance to play? Torreon Golf Club donated a 4-some of golf through a charity, silent auction item. I ended up being the high bidder as I've heard the golf courses were really nice - especially in the Summer up in the pine country. So I paid up and won the certificate. Well, my high bid was SO WORTH IT! My group and I are all lower handicappers and we play many of the nicer courses in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. We probably get in 100+ rounds a year between all of our favorite courses. I was anxious to take a road trip, get out of the heat and try something new. I've read a few reviews about the restaurant, etc, but a little extra effort and time is warranted for their golf course and staff attending to the golfers. All of us felt like 'members for the day' as they treated us like family. Started with a great warm up on the range as an attendant stopped by to make sure we were satisfied and had the necessities. The golf carts were clean and very responsive (fast). Really liked their ability to handle the ups and downs of the course without laboring. As for the golf course (we played the Cabin Course); the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and greens were in absolutely perfect condition for all 18 holes. Not a bad lie out there - unless it was your fault and hit it someplace in the woods you weren't supposed to. :) Bottom line and ultimately, if I had more reason to get to Showlow, I'd give their membership SERIOUS consideration. If you're able to find a game at Torreon Golf Club - I highly recommend it! Great facility! read more

Though it's a bit of a drive from the entrance of the golf resort to the restaurant, it was nice to do a little walking around the restaurant. There were a couple pretty man made pools nearby. The restaurant was nice and the outside patio area looked great if weather permits. You get a view of pine trees on a golf course from the restaurant. Service: Great Food: 1. Ahi Tuna Seared Salad- delicious though too much dressing. Ask for it on the side, if you don't want your salad soaked. 2. Sweet Potato Fries- You can split it with the whole table if you order it as a side. Crispy, the way I like them. 3. Soup of the Day (Beef Barley)- It was good. A large bowl can be split with 2 people. 4. Fish Sopes- Eh. A little overpriced. Just get your sopes at your local mexican restaurant. Couldn't really taste the cod with all the veggies and sauce on it. read more

Beautiful course and kind staff. We golfed 2 days in a row, doing the Tower Course first then the Cabin Course. My favorite was Cabin. The man in the pro shop also fixed the spikes on my husband's golf shoes free of charge. 10/10 recommend. read more

My wife and I were visiting here as guests of the Troon Prive system August 18, 2020. We were impressed from the start how unhelpful and unavailable staff was, even allowing for COVID-19 regulations. When we went to the ProShop, wearing our masks, as mandated by a sign on the door, we encountered a woman at the desk loudly accepting golf reservations with no mask on. We did not enjoy being in her plume. I am surprised that Management allows this to go on. The front nine of the tower course was in terrible shape with vast swaths of dead grass. One of the grounds keepers said they had had a lot of winter kill the year before. Seems like they are quite slow to fix it. On our next golf outing in this area, we will try somewhere else. I'm also surprised that the Troon system Lends their name to this trailer park level of golf course and service. read more

I added 1 star for the deck/view. We've been there three times over the years. The fish/chips are pretty good, the burgers taste like they come from a costco package. Salads are OK. Pricey for the view, which is worth a visit but not the food. Lunch works out really good for us. read more

Burger Wednesday is amazing here. The staff is nice and professional. The food is nicely laid out and delicious. Burgers are so big, we always split now. And the service is pretty quick. Love it. read more

My hubby and I had lunch on the beautiful patio today. We had excellent service from Destiny. They provide you with a basket of crispy homemade potato chips when you are seated. Yes! I had a half portion of the Kale Quinoa Salad with Chicken. It was huge and satisfying. Lots of crunching savory and sweet accoutrements including feta, candied pecans and plump cranberries scattered throughout the veggies. My husband had the Candied Bacon Club and it was stock full of meats with a side of Onion Rings. A great view on the patio of the golf course. I am surprised this spot wasn't more crowded as it is a good lunch option in the area. read more

Torreon Golf Club serves outstanding food year round, and even though this is a private golf club, the restaurants are open to the public. Great bar, great views on the patio and a very good value for the price. The hours are more geared to support member high season and residents, so check the operating hours during the seasons. My wife and I stopped by this weekend for some drinks. It is the off season at Torreon, so we did not expect too much. Unfortunatly when we came to the bar the first bartender to show up was very dismissive, as if we were bothering her for showing up. There are almost no options in Show Low for good cocktails so we hoped Torreon would fill the gap. My wife ordered a gin and tonic and it was alright. I did not have the same luck with my old fashioned. I asked what they had for bourbon, as all of their liquor was in a closed cabinet behind the bar, not on the display that was behind the bar empty. She said all that they had for bourbon was Jim Beam. I saw a Woodford bottle in the cabinet while she was grabbing the Jim and asked for that, she acted shocked it was bourbon. She then preceded to make the drink with a shaker and pour it into a pint glass. It was easily the most pathetic job I have ever seen making a very simple drink. I will give them another chance simply because the older male bartender that came later was super helpful and polite, the opposite of the first one. read more

If you like good food good service and spectacular views ,this is the best place I have found in show low .I had the fish tacos outstanding!

The food was spectacular. We had the salmon, the seafood linguini and the fajita buffet. Even though the waitress was very nice, I felt rushed. We were half through the salads, when they're brought the entrees. We were in the middle of dinner, when the young lady brought the bill. Perhaps the waiters need a bit more training on etiquette when serving. read more

We live in Pinetop in the summer and sometimes treat ourselves to lunch at Torreon; it isTOPS! The food and service are exceptional! We love the burger and club sandwich, but you will not be disappointed with anything you try; soups lland salads are primo. They are open to the public. Everything is about a buck or two more than anywhere else on the mountain, but so worth it. Full bar with ungodly good but expensive drinks. My mother got a fantabulous $8 Manhatten; she grinned all the way back to Pinetop and then had a fabulous nap. read more
