I had my first experience here this week and I have to say it was a pleasure. The owner, Mrs. Janet "Buffy" Wrice, also a cosmetology instructor at the local high school, applied a much needed set of eyelash extensions. I am very pleased with the look, conservative and natural. There's no heavy or uncomfortable glue. I enjoyed the visit with Janet and laughed and just overall felt comfortable. The pricing is very fair and quality of lashes is quite nice. I will let everyone know about my refill and the duration of their work. I highly recommend their lashes. read more

Came in to check out this new local lash studio in Texas City. Let's just say I was blown away by all the expert services they offer! They have everything from lash installation (hints the name) to eyebrow tinting, beauticians, a barber, and a nail tech. They even have a stylist that specializes in natural hair! Now come on! I no longer have to fight the traffic to get done right. :) On this visit, I received a haircut from the barber since I'm rocking a taper right now and he was awesome. I like to have a design, but my last few trials with barbers hadn't been so great. Who knew a heart beat took such skill... never the less, this guy did it up! Said he started as a cosmetologist and I definitely can tell. He's very personable as is all the staff and he definitely impressed me with the way he handled the clippers. Let me not forget to mention that there is a retail area in the front of the spa that has blinged out shirts and a lot more cute items for the whole family. I'm happy to see a place like this in the Galveston county area. Definitely worth trying out! read more

After visiting Showstopper's Lash and Spa for the service of Full Set Lashes on 2/17, within 24 hours, I was experiencing heavy loss on my right eye of the eyelashes. I called to inquire if this was normal but did not receive a call back. Within 72 hours, all of the lashes had fallen off my right eye. I called and left several voicemails over that time period and after but no call back. I stopped by the business several times and no one was there during posted business hours. She called 2 weeks later and said her phone was messed up and to come by the follow day for a refund. I did so and she said to call her on her cell phone which she gave me and she has not returned calls nor gotten me my money back. She is a fraud and a liar. I have submitted this complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more
