Magnolia Halle was beautiful inside and out. With in-house catering, setup and linens included in the price, it was perfect for our big day! Also, it is located in an area with lots of hotels nearby, which was extremely helpful for our out of town family and friends. We had about 150 guests at our wedding, and everyone fit comfortably in the Halle. Our guests said that they thoroughly enjoyed the food, especially the short ribs. Additionally, Kryssi, the venue coordinator was PHENOMENAL. We booked Magnolia Halle for our wedding venue over a year in advance, and Kryssi was very responsive to our messages and questions throughout the entirety of that time. We were able to visit multiple times before our wedding to envision how our decor would look, and we really appreciate all of the help and attentiveness that Kryssi provided. She is very kind and wonderful, which made our experience of planning our wedding at Magnolia Halle seamless and fun! About a week before our wedding in March 2025, they installed a new projector and A/V system that we were able to utilize and it was a game changer. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue without the drive out to the hill country, Magnolia Halle is THE place! It was truly the best day of our lives.

The driveway is a little confusing but once you pull in there is parking in the back. There's an old home as the main venue, a large courtyard and a smaller building in the back with huge windows and glass garage doors that can open all the way for an indoor/outdoor spot. They were hosting a candlelight concert which is a series and the staff were great at directing everyone where to go and help with getting food and drinks they were offering.

Only had sweetened iced tea which was not labeled as sweetened. A diabetic friend had some and her blood sugar soared. Not good. Entree and sides ok. Apple dessert was pretty with edible gold. Just ate the apples. Crust was not tasty. Spice of Life is the caterer. Not sure if you have a choice of caterers when you go there.

We used to play here but the courts are so cracked up you never know where the ball is actually going to bounce. Court two has a crack/bump that is so big, it could be used to teach kids how to jump a mountain bike. The folks who actually still play tennis there have replaced the term "Mulligan" with "Overman." an example to be used in a sentence would be, " dude, that ball took such a weird bounce, just take an Overman" We joined Newcome so we could actually play tennis.

After my husband and I moved to the Sonterra area, we explored the option of joining the Club of Sonterra as it would allow us to have a place to workout plus play tennis and meet new people. After being members approximately six months, we have utilized our membership to the fullest degree and have enjoyed being members. As for the gym, it is outdated and small, but it does have all machines that one would need. There are treadmills, elliptical machines, and bikes as well as mats to do crunches or other floor activities. There are also a myriad of weight machines plus free weights to aid in all weight lifting goals. The free weights have a variety of weights for both light and heavy hitters. My favorite part of the gym is the ladies locker room which has both a hot tub and a steam room, which are great after a long workout. I would say the gym is overall fine but nothing to brag about. The majority of the time, you can catch us at the tennis courts. We both play in the in-club leagues plus we also play together in a mixed doubles league as well on week nights. The leagues exude comradely, and we have been able to make many friendships through this. So much so that we also joined USTA weekend leagues with many friends we have met. There are many tennis courts, so it is usually easy to squeeze into a court albeit there have been times when it is full. There is also a stellar brand new ball machine that is a great companion for practice but it does cost extra to utilize. As for the food, we sometimes have an after match snack or meal. The food is not five star but elevated quality to fast food. I love the salad, sweet potato fries, and mozzarella sticks while my husband swears by the chicken tenders basket. Their finer dining restaurant is okay, but the price is steep and I prefer others restaurants so we have only been there once. The Tennis bar as well as the bar in the main clubhouse are also great, and the price point is great considering. We sometimes grab a drink after evening matches with friends, and it is a great place to socialize outside around the Tennis area. The bar in the club house is nicer and has a large selection. We have gone to a few mixers here, and it is great space. I cannot attest to golf as we don't play and haven't been to that area. In summary, we enjoy being members and have utilized the various areas to the fullest!
