But when I purchased a used Gibson that needed help beyond my abilities, I began the search for a luthier once again. Thankfully, Danny had crossed my path just a few weeks earlier. After reading his impressive resume via his website and having conversation with him, I decided to take my new guitar to him. He truly is a luthier. His attention to detail and his willingness to communicate about his services are second to none. I brought him two basses to have setup, he also hand cut a nut for me, and repaired a pre amp. The setups turned out great and he even polished the bodies, frets, hardware, and oiled the fingerboards. Aside from the service, we sat around for a while, just BS'ing about guitars .This is a one man shop that he runs out of his garage and has an incredible feel of that kind of place that you chat with your buddies in. Talk about a hidden gem!…read more We were driving to see our family in WV. We needed gas and this was the last place we could go for awhile. I jussst needed to use the bathroom and get a drink. Did a lot more than that. I had my first surge in almost 20 years here. The service was friendly, quick, informative and polite. They have their own deli so i grabbed a couple sandwiches that were delicious. You wouldnt expect it eh? They have great sandwiches and food with a wide variety of items to choose from. Cigerettes are ridiculously cheap compared to the city. The bathroom was expected to be terrible but it was clean and functional. The area surrounding it is rural with a couple of small paths to work your legs out after a 2 hour drive. Plenty of gas pumps. Yada yada. You just never imagine to find a Sunoco here. I dont know why sunoco picked this place out in the middle of no where but it is well needed as we gas up here, take a break and eat before the long haul up the mountains. Went in looking for a guitar tuner..very poor selection and high prices.They wanted to sell me a tuner you put on an acoustic guitar..I told them my guitar has a built in tuner. They tried to tell the built in tuners are inaccurate... Not true ask anyone that has one. The place looks more like a furniture store than a music store. Save a trip and buy online
