We were glad that we chose Showcase Realty to help us in this process. Living in Charlotte for over 8 years, we had already heard and read great things about Showcase Realty and everything is true. Nancy Braun is a very successful businesswoman and an EXPERT in the real estate market. It didn't take us more than a few minutes talking to her to realize that we were in good hands. She made us feel safe and confident. She constantly fed us with a customized list of properties that would match our budget, size and location preferences. Her agents showed us numerous properties tirelessly. As most buyers, we were concerned with physical attributes of the property like construction, size, upgrades, neighborhood, etc, but Nancy Braun gave us a different perspective, she would only recommend a house that would be a safe investment, a house that will appreciate in value and has high financial liquidity. In other words, she will not recommend a house that she can't sell in the future. After a few weeks, we were able to find a lovely home by the lake in Pineville, NC. With Nancy's advice, we put an offer and hoped for the best. Our offer was accepted the next day and Nancy was always with us during the whole time: visits, inspections, negotiating, you name it, we were NEVER left alone. All the house searching process and the closing procedures felt like a breeze, even for first timers like me and my wife. I cannot recommend Showcase Realty highly enough. If I were to buy a house today, I'd call Nancy Braun in a heartbeat. She cares about her customers and she will spare no efforts until they get the best deal for a house that will always be a wise investment. Thank you Nancy, for helping us make a dream come true. We recently purchased a foreclosed house, and the bank/seller chose to use Showcase as the local listing agent. This was the worst purchasing experience I have ever had. The agents working for Showcase were unhelpful and seemed inexperienced with the process, regularly taking days or more to get back to our agent and leaving out required paperwork from the seller, which added weeks to our purchasing process. From the time we made an offer on the house to to when we finally closed was a frustrating ordeal. We closed 2 days later than initially scheduled, and were lucky to get in that day, the last that our signed contract was valid. Earlier on in the process we were subject to very shady dealings between the seller and the realtor. We received an email stating that our current offer had been accepted by the seller, giving us approximately 3 hours to respond (which would then constitute a verbal agreement). We confirmed via email almost immediately. Less than one hour later, our realtor received a phone call from the listing agent, telling her that we were in a multiple offer situation and asking for our best and final offer. They had already accepted our offer, and thus should not have been accepting any others at this point. This did not sit well with me to say the least. I would avoid this realtor if you have any choice in the matter. They have very inexperienced people working for them and their business ethics are lacking to say the least. read more

I used Showcase Realty for property management services as well as for selling. Issues as a property manager: 1) over 1 month late sending rent check 2) no bookkeeping nor ledgers were kept 3) they could not remember their own client's name -- my name; checks and contracts were often wrong. Issues as a seller's agent: 1) they initially listed my property with too few bedrooms; when instructed to change the information, they dragged their feet for days 2) they tried to push me into a fast sale more than 10% below market value 3) they tried to get me to enter into a contract with an obvious loophole against me 4) they sat on an offer for 5 days before showing me!!!!! 5) often took 2 days to get a response from them; usually took a 2nd email from me read more

We recently bought our home in Charlotte and, despite loving the property itself, we were tempted on several occasions to scrap the deal and move on to a listing that was not represented by Showcase. Showcase nearly lost the seller the sale because we just did not want to continue waiting on the seller's agent for days to respond to basic questions from very motivated cash buyers. Since we couldn't get answers to our questions, we offered several thousand below what we were planning to offer. It worked out, but ultimately Showcase cost the sellers quite a bit of money. The agent just went AWOL several times, and we had to have our agent harass Showcase to ever get back to us. Because the Showcase agent kept delaying paperwork, we had to push back closing. Once we closed on the house, we had to harass Showcase several times in order to get them to remove the lock box from our front door. Our agent - not Showcase's - ended up removing all the advertising stuff from our yard. We have owned the home now for several weeks and yet Showcase has neglected to remove the listings from Trulia, Zillow, etc, so random strangers show up on our doorstep wanting to view the house. I've called Showcase several times and not once has the agent returned my calls, so I'm having to reach out to Zillow and Trulia directly to have them take down the listings. This is a company to run, not walk, away from. Update: I reached out to Zillow directly, and they immediately removed the listing. As of right now, Showcase Realty is still listing my home for sale at Trulia. Update: They never fixed the ad at Trulia as promised either, so I still had strangers wandering into my back yard and peering into my windows. I reached out to Trulia directly to take down Showcase's ad. read more

She came to my rescue almost by accident: I was trying to get in touch with a listing agent at Showcase Realty, it was a Sunday & I was leaving town the next day so this was my only chance to see the place. It seemed like everyone was busy at her office--Tonshay was busy too, on her way to Charlotte, but she made time for me and showed me the house. From the beginning I was impressed by her perception, she understood what I was looking for (I'm picky, but eclectic) and how the house we saw might, or might not, be what I wanted. Well, I didn't get that house, or the next house we looked at; we are still searching, but Tonshay isn't trying just to make a sale, she's doing her best to make sure I know & understand the good things and the faults of all the places we see. On October 6, I was supposed to move into a rental property managed by Showcase Realty. The morning of someone was supposed to meet me at the house to give me my keys and walk through, but no one called and I had to reach out to Chris Vliek in leasing who was handling my lease. He informed me that someone would be there at some point in the day to meet me and go through the move in check list, but that I could start moving my stuff in using the lock box. When I entered the house it was disgusting, there was an ant hill in the corner, a light bulb missing, a clogged toilet upstairs with someone else's plunger in the tub. There was someone else's shower curtain in the bathroom, an old slim jim in the pantry among many other things that were wrong with the house. Bottom line is it was not move in ready and I was not able to move in. Chris was out of town for the weekend and could not do anything to help so I went to the Showcase office and went to speak with Nancy Braun, who is the owner of the company. I waited patiently while she was in a meeting, and she had Mark States in accounting call vendors (cleaners, plumbers, etc) to go to the house. They also had to call someone to fix the smoke detector, which in my lease it was stated that "the landlord shall provide operable smoke alarms."They informed me that the vendors would not arrive until 5pm and I could move in after they were done. At this point it was a huge inconvenience to me because I would either have to move in at night or take the next day off to move, as well as pay extra money to stay longer in the place I was living. When I sat down to explain this to Nancy Braun she was very rude and not willing to accommodate me in any way for my inconvenience, even though it was her and her team who dropped the ball. When I told her that I would be calling my mother(who was on the lease)so that she could explain this to her, she walked out of the conference room and slammed the door in my face. Very unprofessional! At this point I decided not to go into a lease and asked for a refund of the $3,500 I paid to move in. She wanted me to sign a paper and was rushing me to do so because she had somewhere to be. I then told her I was not comfortable signing because I needed my realtor to look over it to make sure that she was not trying to get me to sign anything saying that I was breaking my lease. I told her that the only way I would sign it would be if she would write me a signed letter saying that I was not breaking my lease. She then said "only if you agree not to report me to the better business bureau". Do not do business with Nancy, she has no sense of customer service! If I could give 0 stars I would! Side note: although they did drop the ball the rest of her employees, especially Mr. Mark States were very apologetic, sympathetic, and helpful, but of course they could not do anything because Nancy Braun is their boss. read more

I purchased a foreclosed home that was listed by showcase realty a little over a year ago. Its hard to put into words how much of a nightmare it was trying to work with showcase. We were restricted to communicate with the listing agent through email only. It took nearly a month to get the house under contract bc every offer took at least a week to submit to the seller and get a response back from showcase. We would send multiple emails with no response. Finally we reached an agreement. When my home was found to have several major issues found during inspection (roof, plumbing, HVAC, water damage) I re submitted an offer to have everything repaired if the seller still wanted me to pay market value for the house. Weeks went buy with no response after numerous emails. Finally my agent called and demanded to speak with someone. When we did the lady was very rude and said the seller told us they are not going to fix anything! We pulled my offer off the table immediately. Assumingly losing my 500$ inspection fees. A few weeks later the house was taken off the market. Then about a month later the house was re listed with a new listing agency. I re submitted my offer requesting that everything on my list be fixed. Within hours I had a call back from our new agent and the seller agreed to everything i asked for. I bought my house with no issues what so ever AFTER THE SELLER FIRED SHOWCASE REALTY. Their are some dishonest practices occuring here. I strongly urge anyone to stay away from Nancy and her team at showcase. I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW HOME THANKS IN NO WAY TO SHOWCASE REALTY! read more

Stay away as far as you can!! We approached them for a new construction home listed in various portals. After few negotiations, we signed the contract on August 3, 2016 to buy the home listed for the price of $433000 and provided two deposit checks of amount $18783 each ($37566 in total). Among the two checks, one check was deposited in escrow. During the entire course of buying process, we were told that the entire money would be returned if we opt-out the contract before slab completion. On December 7, 2016, Nancy from showcase reality emailed me saying the construction will be on hold, as the builder is not getting approval from lender. She confirmed that, she would confirm the next step with in a week. We started following up with her from December 12, 2016 to know the next step. To our surprise Nancy confirmed the situation is unknown and can't give any promises. As it is a shocking update to us, we started following up and exchanged multiple emails asking the refund. We asked to return the money deposited in escrow immediately as it was withdrawn providing a false progress and asserted that I am open for negotiations on the earnest money. Scam seems to be their motive to withdraw money providing wrong progress and seeking the huge deposit amounts. Till now we haven't received a concrete answer on refunding our money back. Stay as far as you can from this realtor and their scams. read more

If I could give them a zero star, I would. Ms. Braun with Showcase Realty in Mint Hill placed a for sale sign in my yard, listed demographics for my house and used my address for a property listing of a vacant lot next to my property. I called her multiple times, left multiple messages (one with an actual human and at least two more on a machine during work hours), on multiple days. I also left messages on her website and on her listing on Zillow for MY house. I NEVER received a return call from her. I received a return call from a staff member in her office only after I notified her that if she, any of her staff or anyone else came on my property I would charge them with trespassing and that my attorney would be contacting them if they did not return my call by 12:00pm on 12/14/2018. In my most recent experience, this company and especially Ms. Braun has horrible work ethics and poor research skills about the properties they sell. read more

We are only giving 1 star rating because it is the best, worst review we could give. After researching the firms in this area we initially thought we would use Showcase. What is not to love about a small boutique firm? The answer - everything. I have tried contacting them several times and no one returns my call. We had a high end purchase we wanted to make and thought the Lake Wylie or Lake Norman area would be a good place to start. After speaking with a local Lake Norman agency, because we were attending an open house last weekend, we learned that it was good that Showcase was not helping us. It was told to us that the firm has very few agents and that the owner is only concerned with things that make her look good. After researching further about Showcase I do believe the agent that we met at the open house was correct. Waste not your time there are some really awesome agencies out there that truly want your business and will not make you constantly try and connect with them. Your loss Showcase read more
