I took an auto FOR SALE on a test drive & was gone half hr or so I liked the way it drove & wanted to drive it home for my husband to check it over. When I came back I was informed I couldn't take the auto home to get checked out due to SOMEONE else being interested in buying the auto. Why did he allow me to test drive if someone else was buying the car.?? When I left lot It was FOR SALE! 2 hrs before close & I agreed to be back by 5ish hr before close. He lost a customer & I won't ever WASTE MY TIME OR REFER ANYONE ELSE to the lot. I took it as if he didn't want the car inspected by someone who knew what to look for when purchasing a used car. I literally have no idea how Showen Motors still exists. Please, do not do business with these people. I don't think you can be warned enough. This lot is the most stereotypical used-car-salesman routine I've ever seen in my 40 years. It's a family run business, and they will all lie straight to your face. They're not even clever about their con jobs. They purchase junk cars for hundreds of dollars and sell them for $5000. My friend bought such a lemon from them, it barely made it home, and it had a cracked windshield. It's completely illegal to sell a car with a cracked windshield. I had to go with her to intimidate Brad before he was scared enough to take back the car. That car went on to become their orange pumpkin car displayed on Halloween years ago. I have purchased several vehicles from showen motors. My experiences have all been good. I have read some pretty harsh reviews but come on folks they are selling USED vehicles.Please don't expect more than what you pay for. They are a reputable dealer or they quite simply wouldn't be in business this long. So if you are looking for a good used car don't hesitate to stop in and take a test drive. Do NOT do business here!!! They are very rude, and their cars are junk!!! This dealership is rough to begin with, and their cars clearly reflect that. My brother and I were looking at a couple of cars: a 2005 Volkswagen Passat, and a 2002 Volvo S60, and had cash in hand to purchase the cars if they were what we were looking for. First of all, there was a tube in the engine of the Passat that was not connected to the other end, so there were obviously mechanical issues with the car. The car was also in very bad cosmetic shape. Also, there were a couple of guys there going car to car with a salesman. They just got done looking at a Toyota when their salesman put a plate on the car I was looking at and sitting in and told them to test drive that car, clearly knowing that I was checking out that car already. They didn't acknowledge me except with a "Hi". They didn't even ask me whether I was interested in the car or not. This was VERY rude!!! After this, I left with disgust. Do NOT do business with these guys. You would probably have mechanical problems with the car you bought from them anyway. read more
