I used to like go here, because generally service has been good, staff professional, but I'm beginning to wonder if I am valued as a customer. I came here to a scheduled 9:00 AM appointment to have my transmission fluid and brake fluid changed as recommended from a previous visit. It's now two hours later, and I haven't been advised how much longer I will need to wait. Toyota in general used to be a very welcoming company when you brought your vehicle in for service. Often they had coffee, water, often snacks available while you waited for your vehicle. They usually offered a car wash too. I noticed this when my dad bought a Toyota in Mansfield OH and when I bought two Toyotas from two different dealers in the St Louis metro area. The Toyota customer experience is quite different now and I am beginning to wonder if I will ever buy another Toyota from a Toyota dealer. It feels like the customer isn't valued nearly as much. I don't know if this is a problem endemic of Toyota as a whole or just the individual dealerships. Somewhat recommend. read more

Came in for an oil change and attempted to order a second key for my car under my warranty. The employee in the parts and tools department was extremely aggressive and unpleasant, and his behavior made me feel physically unsafe. I ended up leaving and calling a dealership an hour away instead. I won't be returning here for oil changes or any other service. read more

The finance officer, Stephanie, was unprofessional and manipulative. She continued to pressure my husband into purchasing an extended maintenance plan which he refused more than once. When signing the final paperwork, she added a plan which did not included what he believed that it did. He was exhausted by the end of the ordeal and she took advantage of his confusion. We have never been treated so poorly. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE. They are dishonest. The only positive aspect of our experience was our salesman, Sean, and they fired him the next day. I've told everyone I know not to go to this dealership. I can't stress enough what a horrible experience we had there. read more

Went to get tires rotated, had apt , arrived early, when rotation completed, noticed immediately that front seat was filthy, had black stuff all over it(it is cream colored upholstery), went back in was told they are supposed to use seat covers, cleaned it , got car back , still damp total time at dealership 2 and. I have bought 3 new cars from Voss. I would not have returned if I was not treated fairly. 1 was a Toyota, and I also bought 2 from Voss Chevrolet. Finally I also bought a car from Joe Morgan Honda, which is apparently also affiliated with Voss. However, Voss Honda in Tipp City Ohio wanted a fortune for their car, and wanted to give me peanuts for mine, and until/unless this is fixed, I wont be buying at Voss Honda. In Voss Honda's defense, this is mostly "par" for most dealers. A few times I was unable to buy at Voss for competitive reasons, and wound up buying from competitors. I had hoped they would give me a great deal as in the past, but each car seems to be a whole new ball game, and you dont know the outcome until its over. The best part about Voss is they apparently dont charge over MSRP, for new vehicles, which is a deal maker for me. They did not try to "con" me by insisting I buy over priced "paint protection" programs either, to add to their profitability, but at my expense. However, the best Toyota Dealer in the Area is still SVG Toyota, in Washington Court house. Mostly, I only buy at Voss, when I can not get the car I want from SVG. Sorry, Voss. SVG is more transparent, and they dont tack on hidden fees like "credit union fees" which are over and above those the credit union charges. I dont like those "mystery fees" at any dealership. SVG does not do that. Ever. read more

After totaling my first Toyota, I stopped by Voss to check out options for getting a new car ASAP. The lot looked rather thin, because it is currently hard to keep new cars on the lot - they're selling like crazy. I was expecting to get maybe a 2016ish model. Until I met with Floyd Howell. He walked me and my mother around the lot and let me check out the few options that were available. I wasn't really satisfied - I couldn't find a combination of keyless entry + remote start + Apple CarPlay + low mileage. Those were a few of my determining factors. As I started to lose hope in finding my new dream-car, Floyd took us back inside and sat us at his desk. He hardly had to think about it before he pulled up a brand new 2022 Corolla SE. Hadn't even been imported to the United States yet. Floyd knew just as well as I did that this was the perfect car for me. So we got the ball rolling. We got the ball rolling with payments. Floyd mentioned a $500 reward for recent college grads - which I received. Floyd kept in communication throughout the entire process. He answered my questions super quickly and was very responsive via text, phone, and email. Literally two weeks after totaling my car, Floyd had me driving off the lot in a brand new, beautiful Toyota Corolla. He was very hands-on in telling me about the car, setting up the features, and explaining every step of the process. Floyd was very friendly and genuine - something that is stereotypically not seen in car dealers. I couldn't be more happy with the experience he provided. I was traveling with my family in our Toyota and suddenly there was a loud pop from underneath the car and a loud grinding noise. We pulled over and I looked all around and underneath the car... nothing. Knowing that we had hours of driving to go through rural areas, we decided to go to the closest Toyota dealer, Voss. They looked it over and even took apart the brakes to make sure everything was OK. Everything was fine. We don't know what happened, but we at least had the peace of mind that nothing terrible was going to happen many miles from home in 15 degree temperatures. They got us in quickly and charged us a very nominal fee. They were polite and took seriously our concern that we were traveling with a small child in bad conditions and needed the peace of mind. Our salesperson was Tom Downs, and the first thing that he did was search cars on their lot in our range. He did not try to pressure us with a higher cost vehicle, but kept in mind it was a car to just carry our daughter through her remaining college years. My wife's car had an issue and wouldn't start leaving her stranded, a towing company was even dispatched to take the car to the dealership. Prior to the tow truck arriving we got it started and got it home. Voss Toyota was called to schedule an appointment since we didn't know what was wrong (computer, battery, alternator, etc.). It was dropped off on Tuesday night, and we picked it up on Wednesday night. The reason the car was there for was a diagnostic and to check for error codes to see what was wrong. While it was there, we asked for them to check the from driver seat. The only thing they did was check the front seat??? There was no inspection or diagnostic done, even though I stated to the technician that is what we wanted and why. We were charged a bill and the inspection which is supposed to be free and always done on ALL vehicles was not done to ours, even though that was why it was there. I was originally told the mechanic did the inspection but forgot to press save after the inspection and diagnostics and we would have to bring the car back in again. Later we were told the vehicle repair request did not mention inspection or diagnostic and we signed it so they had no record of the request, so it wasn't done. Make up your mind, either you mechanic did the inspection and didn't press save, or he never did it. Let me point out the inspection is free and supposed to be done on ALL cars even when you don't specifically request it. Now we must bring it back to this irresponsible dealer, which will not happen or make an appointment with another dealership further away. Basically, we were called liars because the technician never annotated the reason, we specifically brought it in for. I even have a bill from the towing company that was dispatched showing the car had an issue other than the seat and why the appointment was made but the service manager actually stated he has to rely on what his people say, and the request did not say that we wanted an inspection, and we signed it. My wife had talked to and left messages for the service department four times prior to us dropping the car off, but conveniently all messages are deleted use they have listened to them, and no one stepped forward saying my wife had talked to them, even when we can show she did actually have phone recorded of the calls. Once again, they always do the inspection and it is free, but we even asked for a diagnostic which we were told was going to be extra and we agreed, but they didn't annotate anything except the seat, they did charge us a bill for. They said they could not duplicate the issue with the seat either, even though we duplicated it in front of the technician when we dropped of the vehicle. I doubt they even checked the seat or did anything with the vehicle. I requested a refund and they refused. read more

Finally got a call back after 4 days just to be told the car I've been asking about is sold.

We bought a used Prius from Voss for my 16 year old daughter. When we purchased the car, the back-up camera and radio worked but the salesman said they did not have the navigation CD. That was fine with us. We recently had to change the car battery and now the camera and radio no longer work. When we contacted the dealership, they said they would charge us $140 to look at her car. This is just not acceptable. I would not purchase another vehicle from them. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have never been so disrespected at a car dealership in my entire life. After roaming the lot for 30 minutes with no one coming out to help, we finally started getting in the car to leave. A salesman runs out and asks if we wanted help. We drove there to test drive a car that we were looking at at Voss Hyundai (they sent it to the Toyota store for a weekend sale). We asked the salesmen if we could test drive the car by ourselves, seeing that we had all of the appropriate identification and insurance information. The salesman was very rude and told us no. Voss Hyundai was going to let us do it, as it was their company's policy. He said he would have to ride with us. We said no thanks, and he walked away. We stood there by ourselves for a minute longer and other salesman (who was with a customer) asked if we needed help. We explained the situation and was told we could test drive alone as long as we had the proper information - which we did. He goes to get someone else to help us... Five minutes pass, and we are still waiting. At this point, we were getting back in the car to leave. As I closed my door, a manager came running out. To put it bluntly, he was a total prick. "We cannot allow you to test drive alone, it's against our store policy." That's after he talked to the first jerk as he came out. I advised him we were told by another rep we could drive alone, as well as their Hyundai dealership said we could. He advised that the salesrep does not have the authority to make that decision and proceeded to be confrontational. We left the lot. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I don't know why they would not allow us to test drive alone - other customers can and its their corporate policy to allow. I contacted the Hyundai dealership and immediately had them take the car back to their location. We purchased the vehicle from them the next day. They are lucky to have gotten my business, as the Toyota dealership was horrible. I will not recommend this place to anyone. SHOP ELSEWHERE. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE JERKS. Sooo i went here looking for a used vehicle that i found on autotrader. On the website it we selling for 7,990. When i went to check it out it was 8,495 and the salesman tried to give me a 995 discount to total up to 6,995 With the same discount to the online price it's over a 500 dollar difference, that 500 can be used for any future repairs to a used car but they wanted to consistently try to up sale me this car & tried to get me to buy a newer more expensive car. When going to a dealership you arnt buying the car , your buying the salesmen who it trying to get you to buy the car but when u crazy pushy like that and have false sales prices , it most definitely made me walk away. read more

I'm very unhappy with my experience at Voss. I was looking at a used Tundra and entered negotiations on the price. i offered 500 under asking and the salesman agreed. He sends me the paperwork wit the 500 off. When made aware of the error he claims they never agreed to the lower price. I call the sales manager and get heated with him and he agrees to accept that his salesman is shady and to take the 500 off. I agree to purchase the truck after the manager agrees to take another 200 off for our trouble. During the purchase process we notice the console needs repair. They couldn't get it done at delivery so they give a "we owe you" slip for a future appointment. I schedule the repair on a rare day off for me and wouldn't you know they can't do it. The repair guy lives in Cincinnati and only comes on Thursdays. I wasted gas and time on my day off because they screwed up. Don't do business with these people, it's nothing but stress and shady dealing. read more

So I had my car serviced here today and was sold an unnecessary item. I was told that I needed a new engine air filter due to rodent damage ( I don't have a rodent problem at my house) when actually all it needed was to be cleaned. So I bought a new one due to the pressure of the service tech. I brought the old one home, vacuumed it off and it looks brand new. DO NOT let them sell you unnecessary items. Also, I looked on Amazon and could have bought it the filter for less than 10.00. I was charged 21.30. Way overcharged!! I will not go back there. read more

I was skeptical about Voss. It seems to be out in the middle of nowhere but the boyfriend booked the appointment so I was going. Typically, I don't go to the dealer for my car maintenance. I find them to be over-priced for the same job I can have done elsewhere. Pros: 1. Quick service. I pulled in and was instantly greeted by more than one person and take care of immediately. 2. Honest. I had requested the 60k mile service check-up and maintenance as suggested in my owners manual. The service person suggested that some of those items might not need replaced / done at this time but to wait until the 80k maintenance. He stated, "We're not here to do things that don't need done. If you insist, I'll do it, but if it doesn't need repaired / fixed, I'm going to suggest waiting." Thank you service guy for not treating me like a "dumb woman who doesn't know anything about cars" and for being honest up front. Also, when the service was completed there were things that were not done because they were in fine shape, so my end price was less than quoted. Yay! 3. Quick service. I know I already stated this, but I was quoted 1.5 hour wait and I was in and out in less than 1 hour. 4. Associates were pleasant, listened to my concerns, and treated me respectfully. I'm always happy to get good service. Service isn't praised enough when it needs to be, so thank you Voss employees for being courteous, and service-oriented. Cons: 1. Its a drive for me. Not from work, but not the closest to my humble abode, so I don't like that. 2. Voss is clearly in need of some updates, which they're in the process of. So there's a bit of building construction going on. 3. Signage. I wasn't sure what to do when I got there, Do I pull in the garage? Do I park and wait? It isn't clear. Please post something that tells me what to do. 4. No car wash when my service was completed. Maybe I'm spoiled, but every time I've ever had service done at a dealer, they clean my car. This was test car-buying experience I've ever had, for many reasons. First, they got us a Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, which isn't easy to get. We called dealers all over Chicagoland looking for this car and couldn't get one. Voss found the TRD Pro at another dealer and called in a favor to get it re-allocated to them. Second, our salesperson, Tim Brown, was great. He stayed in communication with us about the status of our car. And, when we came to pick it up, he had gone through all the owner's manuals and tabbed and labeled the parts we might need to reference. Third, they gave us a GREAT price on the car, the first go around--it was such a good price we didn't even haggle. And they gave us a fair price on the trade-in, after minimal haggling. Finally, their finance/title guy had all kinds of fancy gadgets, like a desk that turned into a screen for signing documents-- and his name was Bond. James Bond. No, seriously, the guy with the gadgets was named James Bond. They should never let him go. read more

I was in the market for a new car in general, or a RAV4 specifically. I knew that I would be a challenge - to secure financing for, even though I had a previous Toyota financing. I called Voss's internet guy - explained my situation - and he called me back within about 30 minutes - and he had secured me financing - and actually at a better APR than I had anticipated. These guys go to bat for their prospective customers! I had experienced a horrific ordeal at another Toyota dealership in the Dayton area - Voss Toyota was a breath of fresh air. Don't do it. It's worth driving a little further for sales or service. I went in for service and was treated like a door mat. They couldn't care less about my satisfaction. I needed a variety of service done on my truck including some recall items and mundane simple stuff like lightbulb. They charged me for the bulb replacement but didn't do the work. Not even when I had to take it back for more recall work. I made it clear it was a goal to address and they said they would correct it. I can't prove it but I'm quite confident my hood was scratched up during the first recall appt. Rude. Uncaring and disrespectful bunch over there at Voss. At least I now know where not to go and because of allll the trouble and recalls and this latest experience at Voss has solidified my reasoning for never buying another Toyota. Thanks. I own a business so I have little time for games. I spent a good week on line looking at cars in a three state area and seeing how they were equipped and what they were selling for. When I contacted Voss I let them know the parameters of what I was looking for. I have never bought a car from them but they gave me the best price in the 3 state areas right off the bat. I dealt with Tom Downs who wasn't a bit pushy nor did he get upset while in final negotiations. In fact Voss found extra money I didn't know about in the form of a Toyota rebate from attending a local car show. The car was ready to pick up in a few days and even signing the paperwork was a quick process, mainly because that portion was hi tech digital. All in all this was a smooth process for 2 reasons; I did my research beforehand (let's face it, with all the high tech improvements and gadgets on cars nowadays you can't expect the salesman to be an expert on every model) and Voss was prepared to sell a car. Unlike another reviewer previously, I didn't mind Tom riding in the car because then I had him captive without interruption. It's a lot easier to ask questions while you are driving than to look it up in the owner's manual or guess you know what some button does. We were in 2 different cars for several hours and he never pushed to go back to the dealership. He asked one time if I was ready to buy and I said no and that was the end of that line of questions. My overall experience was good. Other than their sales offices needing more privacy when we were talking it all flowed as it should. read more

My husband and I recently bought a used vehicle from Voss... while we were there we had a good experience, when we test drove the vehicle we tested everything out making sure we were getting what we expected. When we test drove the heat was on, but it was warmer outside so we assumed it was in working order. They day we brought it home we noticed on the drive back home the heat was no longer working... we called them to ask if there was anything they could do as we had priced what was wrong and at first they told us since it wasn't that expensive they would take care of it.. however the next 2 days went by and they wouldn't return our calls... it is now 17 degrees outside and they finally picked up the phone and tell my husband they cant help us! I UNDERSTAND we bought it as is, but $200 dollar repair to keep someone who bought a decently priced car from you warm in these freezing temperatures isn't going to break them as a company! I am so shocked that instead of doing the right thing they chose to leave me without heat and to have this fixed on our own! They will do whatever to make the sale and then leave you high and dry! read more
