We had the best experience and highly recommend coming here for any of your baby gear needs! We went in on a Saturday to look for a stroller and they were busy but that did not stop them from giving everyone one-on-one assistance. They are SO knowledgable on all the travel systems. They answered all our questions and offered additional information. We never felt rushed and we never felt pressured into buying anything. We went to department stores in the area and it was just not the same- we barely got any attention and they did not know the answers to our questions, they also did not have a big selection- don't waste your time there, just come to Shower Me with Love!! And ask for Joyce, she's amazing! We then came back on a Sunday for the car seat and got the same experience- so helpful and knowledgeable. They did not have what we needed in stock either time, but they ordered them to the store, called us when they were ready and we came back and picked them up. The best part on ordering strollers, car seats or furniture from them is that they have a promotion where you get 25% back on a gift card to purchase on anything (that isn't furniture, car seats or strollers) to use within 6 months. They also have any/all baby gear you need! Baby blankets, towels, bath toys, stuffed animals, baby carriers, hair bows, baby socks/tights, hats, etc. And they have lots of clothes sized premie to toddler, and all the best brands (The Beaufort Bonnet Company, Kissy Kissy, Magnetic Me, Pink Chicken, etc.). it is definitely the place to go if you need a baby shower gift!! It's surprising how few stores there are that allow you to "test" out strollers.. everything is really done online these days! However, I'm in the market for a double stroller and being that many are $$$, I wanted to make sure I was able to get my hands on one first to see all the features in person. Shower me with love was one of the only stores that came up in my search for baby stores around Charlotte. I was happy it opened at 9am.. accommodates a toddler who also wakes up early! My husband, daughter, and I came here and were initially excited to see an abundance of strollers in the window. Our excitement ended there. When we entered the store, it appeared like no employees were in sight. I grabbed the 2 double strollers I saw and wheeled them around the store to get a feel for them. Of course no price tags are on the products ($$$ ughhh). So, I was waiting around, looking for an employee to ask. I only found one when I went to the checkout area. It was at that time I was informed that the only 2 people qualified to educate and talk to me about strollers were not working that day! No other employee could help. Seriously? So I guess that's why the stroller part of the store was ignored (there were a couple other families there looking lost and wondering were help was). So we left. The good part is, that one of the employees was able to tell me the cost of the stroller I was looking at. I found the same stroller online, on sale, for a fraction of what I would have gotten it for here. read more

So since we're here visiting our first born grandson, we had need to find a baby splurge place. This was it, and this was a find. While it looks like a single storefront In a nice strip mall around apartments and the Whole Foods store, it really Is spacious Inside. It's a single storefront deep but five storefronts across. Great selection of baby stuff, from clothes, to strollers, to nursery rockers, to cribs, to mementos, and more. If you are a grand and want to splurge on something, you'll probably find it here. They carry the upscale brands like Baby Bjorn and the like. You don't come here to save money but to get true value for your dollar. Service was wonderful ... for us it was from two ladies who appeared to be grands themselves. They were very helpful, and went the extra mile for us. When we checked in on YELP, we got a 20% off your first purchase coupon from the YELP site. While the ladies said they'd never seen that YELP coupon before, they honored it. I have shopped here many times, when I went in to exchange a onesie today they were very rude about it, accused me of not buying at their store and said the item was "too old" to be exchanged even though I found it still on the rack. I felt embarrassed for even asking, both the manager and the sales associate were not friendly to me and my friends. We are all Charlotte moms of babies/toddlers and generally enjoy their selection but this experience turned me off from shopping with them. read more

Did not offer to help at all and when I asked for help felt like I was the biggest burden they were carrying. Will NOT be purchasing from them for our baby. My spouse and I went to this store on a Monday morning after driving 2.5 hours for an appointment in Charlotte and hearing good things about this store. We planned to spend about an hour checking out all the strollers, and plan to buy two expensive strollers and a car seat soon. We really wanted to support a small business and this is a really cute store. Upon entering, were immediately met with a very frazzled, unprofessional employee who made us feel like we shouldn't be there. I'm still reeling from some of the things she said to us: "I don't know anything about that stroller, but nobody buys it" "well why would you want THAT one?!" "I'm too small to fold these strollers by myself" "we don't have that stroller anymore because it got stolen" "don't buy from us, just buy from the manufacturer online because we don't make anything from the sale anyway" and "oh, yeah we have that stroller, by it's so big and bulky, I don't even think we've sold ONE!" We were SHOCKED because we believe in buying from small businesses. Instead, it seemed like our presence was stressful and our business wasn't wanted. I'm deeply disappointed and hope that the owner and other employees are a bit more helpful and professional. read more

Do not shop here. They have the rudest workers we've ever experienced in our lives. We were the only people in the store and stopped to check out the strollers. 2 workers were within 10 feet of us as we were struggling to figure out the different latched and what not. Not one time did they come over or say a single word to us. My wife even went over and said hello and the worker didn't acknowledge her at all, didn't say a word and just kept folding shirts. We had a lovely experience getting our baby crib through Shower Me With Love. They were especially helpful given that everything was backordered for a long time. It was so wonderful to know that professionals were taking care of making sure the crib got made and tracked properly. Picking it up from their warehouse was also a breeze, or we could have paid the $80 delivery fee if we didn't have a big enough car. The bad customer service reviews must have been from a previous set of staff, because everyone at the store was extremely helpful and friendly when we were there as well as any time we would call on the phone. read more

My husband and I visited Shower Me With Love to look at strollers and car seats. The staff allowed us to take multiple strollers and car seats out to our car to make sure that everything would fit properly (I drive a 2 door Jeep - not a lot of space). They were very kind and patient with us as we shuffled back and forth between car and store, testing many products- something a large retailer such as Nordstrom or Pottery Barn would not allow us to do. Had we not been able to test fit these items, we would have purchased items that would not have fit in my car. 10/10 recommend supporting this local business! read more

Extremely disappointed in this store. For being the only baby store really open for in person shopping for nursery items etc. you think they would take some pride in their business. However this is not the case. My husband and I are expecting our first baby this year and on now three occasions have been in and haven't been spoken to by anyone. I'm not sure how this shop is in person, as I don't live in the area, but they should stop having an online presence if they can't provide even adequate service. I placed an order on 12/16. I never received any kind of estimate for shipping. I sent 3 emails over the course of 3 weeks asking for an update. I just needed to know if I should look for the item elsewhere. I never got any response whatsoever. If your turn around time is going to be quite lengthy, just communicate it. Just respond to customer emails. On 12/30, I sent an email that stated since I hadn't received any response, I would be filing a dispute with my credit card to remove the charge. 11 days later, I receive a shipping notification???!!! This is the worst service ever. Communicate with your customers. I have now already purchased the item somewhere else. read more

I popped in on my way to a baby shower... I know I'm a slacker for wiring until the last minute. The store has a wonderful collection of clothes and goods. I'm not well versed in baby things bc it's been so long since that was part of my life. Thankfully the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Very disappointed. My mom and I shop here often for my daughter and niece. We think it is great to have all the designer clothes and items in one location, however the service is less than stellar. We visited today and the four ladies working were very preoccupied. When we asked for help to order a dress in a smaller size, we got passed between associates and never did get the dress ordered. While paying for what we wanted to buy, the associate did not greet us or engage in friendly conversation. She was talking to the other associate and did not seem to care about us as customers. Oh let's see, where to start... My husband and I came here about a year ago while I was pregnant to buy some clothes and accessories for our baby girl. While we were in we liked the merchandise as it was a higher quality than Macy's or Dillard's but the service wasn't that great or friendly. I signed up for their emails while I was there purchasing some stuff and recently received one saying 50%-70% off sale. Since I live out of town I called and spoke to a girl named Ryane. I explained what I was interested in and that I wanted to purchase some items over the phone. She snapped back immediately saying the sale was for local customers only. Good to know that your customer service is only to local clients. So I got of their Facebook page and wrote a review and the person from the store who replied to my review was very rude and put a picture up around the time I called blaming their poor customer service on the fact that they were 'busy'. Interesting because the sale wasn't even at their store. Plus, in my opinion, (since after all, that's what a review is) you would think someone in charge of a business wouldn't argue with a customer about the experience in their store. I asked about one item if they had it in the other gender and she said she didn't know. I would have bought it if they were helpful. Absolutely love everything about this store! In my opinion they have the best selection of high end baby clothing and nursery furnishings in the Charlotte area. Be warned, don't shop here if you're on a budget, but if you've got the $$ to shop here this store is fantastic. The store is located in the prestigious area of Charlotte (Southpark/Phillips Place). The staff can barely stop their personal conversations to help you when asked, much less to greet you and ask if you need help. I purchased a rocker/glider for my son and daughter-in-love as they were expecting their first child. The rocker came, and we all love it. As a special promotion, we received a gift card when I bought the chair. My first grandchild was just born (it's a boy!), and I was looking forward to shopping over the next year at Shower Me with Love, buying some of their great clothing. However today when I was in the store, I was told by the salesperson that my gift card is about to expire. I told her that there must be a mistake. The baby just arrived; we just found out it's a boy....there's no way it can be expiring. I asked for a manager but she told me it wouldn't help. I was not told originally that the gift card only lasts a short while....I has assumed I had at least a year to use this card. I am very, very disappointed. If yelp allowed no stars, that's what this store would get. Do not shop here. The staff is snotty and unhelpful. Their return policy is impossible. They should just say "all sales final" because that's essentially what it is. I bought an outfit there for my son to wear on Christmas. He wasn't with me so I had no idea what to get , what size , etc. An associate helped me put the outfit together. She took the bow tie out of its packaging so we could see it what it looked like. They were also doing a candy cane promotion so I got 30% off. The items were not marked down, I just got a Christmas promotional deal. Great! .... except when I went to take it back. The bow tie and sweater I got looked ridiculous on my son. We were in a rush to get to families ' house on Christmas so I took the tags off the sweater thinking nothing of it. I went to return the sweater and bow tie today, and they wouldn't let me !! They said since the tags were off and the items were "marked down" I couldn't return them. The items weren't marked down. They had a promotion at the register going on. If I had known I wouldn't be able to exchange it, I would have forgone the promotion. I needed to try it on my kid! The employee said they "couldn't resell the items because they were out of the box and past Christmas." First of all, the sales associate took the bow tie out of the box in the store BEFORE I EVEN BOUGHT IT. Not me. Second of all, how is it my fault they can't sell something after Christmas ? Sell it next year. Put it on sale. Return it to the vendor. As a customer that's not my problem. It's rare that I bring my child with me to go shopping. But according to this store, you're kids need to be there to try on and you certainly can't take anything out packaging to try on. I even tried exchanging for something else in the store right then and there and they wouldn't let me. The employee - Mandy - said she had no way of knowing if my kid wore it or not and she couldn't re sell it. My kid DIDNT WEAR IT. And it's really rude for her to insinuate that I'm lying. If I was lying and he wore it, why wouldn't I try to go ahead and return the shirt I bought to go with it? (That he actually did wear). The sweater was in perfect condition. All they needed to do was add a tag and put it with the rest of the holiday stuff they had for sale. But no, they refused to accommodate me. I will never EVER shop there again.
