Ford and Jerron were a huge help. I have been looking at them for years, I have done a lot of research, but never really talked to an "expert" one on one about it. He arrived a few minutes early and was very familiar with our boat . Dax carefully and patiently Inspected and reviewed all operations of the boat with me both before and after we went out. He is very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and helped every step of the way . I can't say more about Wakes2U. I took the Intro to Blockprinting class this past weekend and overall, it was fun. It is an open space with all sorts of art supplies, tools, and just about anything your imagination can muster up. Lots of inspiration. I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.

Kim is also a certified personal fitness trainer and that really shows in her instruction. She takes the time to break down each move and explain the physics and offers lots of tips and encouragement to help you master them. You'll definitely feel comfortable taking a class from her no matter if you are 20 or 50. She brings many hoops to class each week for you to try out. You'll want to buy one the first night if you don't already have one! It's just THAT addictive. I often find myself shoulder hooping without a hoop. It's like when you step off a cruise ship and you can still feel the boat move for a week after you get home. The hoop becomes a part of you. Not a bad gig. ;)

Stay away. We spent around $3000 on paint when this team recommended that their paint was GREAT for…read morecabinets. Only after we purchased all the paint did we realize that they recommend a 17 day cure time. This makes it almost impossible to use the paint on cabinets or paint cabinet doors on both sides. We ended up having to let the cabinets dry over a month with a fan on it as they instructed and the paint is still sticky almost 3 months later. Every time we take something out of our pantry, the paint peels off and there are indentation marks from anything remotely heavy. Photo has one small example. And no, I'm not a DIY-er who doesn't know what they're doing. We had a very professional painter do the work. He even called them multiple times to make sure he was doing everything right. We ended up having to get the paint color matched at Benjamin Moore to complete the job because we couldn't jeopardize the custom cabinets we just spent tens of thousands on. Highly recommend just doing that. And silk and sage refuses to return our unused gallons. Don't believe them. Maybe their paint is better for the art in their store and maybe walls but not for actual use in real home projects.

I checked out Ghostpepper Glass during the Austin Art Studio Tour and really loved it. They have a…read morebeautiful gallery space with so many unique glass pieces for sale. It's the kind of place where you can slowly wander around and keep noticing new details in each piece. I never made it to their original location, but this new space is big and spacious, which makes it easy to take everything in. It feels open, welcoming, and thoughtfully laid out. After seeing everything, I'm definitely interested in coming back to try one of their workshops at some point. It seems like such a cool, hands-on experience.

It's in a small complex with limited parking and security does check who is there out in the lot. Inside the gallery is upstairs to the one side. The other side is the glass making area. We picked up a discarded glass remnant box. It was a decent price for what we paid. I might come back and take a class in the cooler months as it gets pretty hot in there.

The storefront is very inviting and small, but honestly the perfect size. They have everything organized per artist. We took some time checking everything out before deciding on some cute coffee mugs that had a small cowboy boot stamped on the side and "yeehaw" on the bottom. Seriously so cute, and so Austin! We also bought a beautiful oil crock. I can't wait to go back and check out more pieces! Definitely a must when you have visitors in town.
