    Green Mahi sandwich
    Breck T.

Right here in Ybor city in Tampa. We had the Florida stream pot and the Green Mahi sandwich. The steam pot was a lot of food for two. Lots of shrimp, over cooked but still good. The mahi was ok in size and very flavorful. And with a fried green tomato with a crunch. The server Michael was very helpful and completed the dinner. The place was casual and had a straw roof theme inside for a great feeling of Florida. I'll be back for sure.

Server had great recommendations but it's hard to not go with the obvious choices - boil was perfectly spiced (shout out the sausage), CRAZY CRAB DIP WAS A MUST!! We had the place to ourselves so were able to loudly let the team know how good everything was. Totally would come back (Get a bib)

Nice casual hidden gem located in Ybor City. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and quickly seated right at dinner time. There were only two other tables with customers so business was slow I guess being a weeknight. There appeared to be one guy running the front of the house and one girl cooking orders but they knew what they were doing and did it well. All of our food was excellent! We started with fried green tomatoes which disappeared in seconds (paired well with their house "pink sauce"). The green mahi sandwich and seafood boil were both top notch and the chef sent me out a side of their hottest sauce for my order which was delicious! Hope to return when I'm in town again!

We came in 40 minutes before close (not ideal), but the staff was still so friendly and we never felt rushed. Amazing service I had never tried escargot, so I'm not sure how it compares, but I thought it was amazing! I was scared it would be chewy, but it wasn't. It was so tender, and the butter sauce was delicious. For the main course, 3 of us split a seafood boil. We got it medium heat and it was nice. They gave me spicy butter sauce on the side because I wanted spicier than the others I was with. But overall the boil didn't have much heat to it at all. Even with what they gave me on the side. I wasn't as impressed with the main course. I still liked it though! I would be interested to try their other options, but I'm not itching to go back. Overall rating: 4/5 stars

Went here for lunch, nice little hole in the wall place. At first wasn't sure about this place as we were the only ones in the restaurant and all the area traffic was obviously for the popular Cuban Restaurant close by ( not gonna say their name but I'm sure everyone knows.). Anyways there is a lot to park however the big downer is that its pay to park and @ $7 an hour a bit expensive if I may say so myself not even free parking for handicapped or Florida DV plates - big disappointment and main reason for 4 stars. Ordered the Mangle Clams with regular butter ( no Chile butter here) and the daily special - Shrimp Po' Boy Deluxe. Everything was cooked to order and hot when served. The clams were small and flavorful, in a butter/wine/garlic sauce served with 3 pieces of sliced toasted french bread to dip. The Shrimp Po' Boy Deluxe with the house made crab sauce was delish - must try. The Po' Boy could easily have a couple more shrimp but otherwise very tasty. Order the season potatoes instead of fries and this too did not disappoint. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly and helpful. The booths did have round table instead of square which made it a little odd to accommodate a table of 4 and only Pepsi products are available.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and this place is delicious. The food was top tier and the service was even better. When my wife and I are back in town, we will for sure come back.

Florida Steam Pot - looks at the shrimp. When you peel them they are black and tasted like seawater. Terrible.

Service was fine. Food tasted like it was literally take out of the bay and just added to your plate. Everything was bland. The potatoes with garlic and Parmesan tasted like nothing. Like how does that even happen? Their shrimp coleslaw was so bad. I was so excited for it too. It actually tasted a little like spoiled milk. Not sure if the Cole slaw was bad or what. I will not be ever going there again. I'm actually on my way home with my brother and he's saying his stomach is starting to feel bad.we just left! We are never gong back!!

Small, unassuming spot in the Ybor district. I had a craving for fried shrimp and I found a spot that I would definitely hit up again. Very friendly and quick service as soon as I walked in. One server was working that spot and she was doing extremely well. Ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter with fries and hush puppies. Price was right, portion was great and the food was piping hot and fresh. Definitely worth the trip. Again, unassuming spot that you may pass by, but don't. Try this spot for some great seafood and quick service.

We visited this restaurant on a weekday and it was clean with friendly service. The food was delicious and is cooked to order. They're known for making their own batter & sauce which paired perfectly with the fish and shrimp. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

The vibe and decor of the Shrimp & Co needs a new and fresh look that build confidence with food quality. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 8:00 pm on a Friday.

Small little restaurant not much to look at however very tasty and some good solid seafood choices here! Really good onion rings and hush puppies and a stable down in Ybor for locals and guests alike. Until next review Kisses

Is this true?i had rock lobster or so I thought... it was a rock tail.

If they call it Rock Lobster, it probably is one of many warm water species, also called Spiny. There are about 60 different variants that are called Rock and Spiny. Warm water lobsters have no edible claw meat as do the cold water ones.

The atmosphere was super festive and we were looking forward to our evening. The bartender was friendly and took our drink order. We waited an extremely long time and his excuse was he had to climb up to get a bottle of Grey Goose. After waiting so long he still forgot the one drink which we thought was what took so long, an old fashioned. The two other customers got an additional drink while we were waiting. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation, which didn't matter because there were only 2 tables of patrons. Our server in training came by and dropped off paper Christmas menus and brought us water. Then we waited and waited and finally our sever arrived. We asked for the menu and she said the only thing they had was this special Christmas menu, which was basically all appetizers. This is NOT what we planned when making reservations weeks ago. So disappointing! We ended up leaving and having dinner elsewhere.

Howeverrrrr..... I may slightly resemble Uncle Fester, but that does NOT give a server an excuse to not approach me at all. From the moment I sat down, I waited a while until I kindly asked for a menu. The barmaid gave it to me, without saying anything else. Then I had to notify her that I was ready to order, after waiting a few minutes. After I told her I wanted the Cuban sandwich, she said "okay" and walked away. She brought the plate to me, and set it in front of me without saying anything. Nor did she swing by, to ask how my food was. The guy with the dark haired bowl-cut was the ONLY one who asked how my food was, and he wasn't even my waiter! I was too kind to give her a tip anyway. Some people jussssst do not belong in customer service, if they lack communication skills or common sense. Rather than trying to search for parking, we just paid $20 for the lot right nearby and it worked out great for us. We had a large group and our waiter, Zachary, was amazing. He had plenty of recommendations, anecdotes, stories, and jokes to keep everyone happy and full. He was definitely a highlight for all of us. We had a variety of drinks, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Sacred Empress and was so impressed with the balance of flavors - mostly sweet with a slight punch from the serrano cilantro simple syrup. It sounds funky but trust me on this! We also split a bottle of the Lagar De Costa Albariño, at the recommendation of our waiter, and we all loved it. For food, we started with the Lobster Ravioli, Truffle Frites, Crispy Pork Belly Bites, Crunch Love Caesar Salad, and Olives. All were devoured and I think the crowd favorites were the Lobster Ravioli (though expensive, $26 for 3) and the Pork Belly Bites. For mains, most people tended to get either the Steak Frites or the Gulf Fish Amandine (which was snapper). My steak and another at the table were both way overcooked on the first go around but they very quickly remade them (and the fries) and got them back to us in 5 minutes, perfectly cooked. It was a delicious and filling dish. The Gulf Fish Amandine was also really tasty, but it felt like it was missing something like a starch. It's a very simple and classic dish. The Pork Chop was also well loved amongst the table and many people wished they got it after trying a bite! For dessert, you absolutely have to get the Toffee Cake - it was everyone's favorite dessert. Super soft, warm, and comforting, plus that vanilla ice cream just took it to another level. We also enjoyed the Chocolate Mousse, and the free birthday dessert they kindly brought out for us. Overall, the restaurant is fun and lively, with an eclectic feel in the mismatched dining sets and decor. I really loved how it felt. It's definitely a nicer spot for a date or celebration, but worth it!

My husband loves cheesesteaks and said it's one of the best non-Philly cheesesteaks he's had! The fries were great too. I had the Garlic Beef Noodles, and OMG. So good! They're not super spicy at first, but the spice definitely creeps up on you after a few bites. Be prepared for the runny nose! The beef was incredibly flavorful, and everything together with the noodles and veggies was just chef's kiss. My son had the pizza and loved it. He said the dough was crispy on the outside but still soft, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. And yes, I stole a bite--it was good! We also tried the Hibiscus Mule mocktails. They were refreshing and tasted good, although they were a little heavy-handed with the ginger beer for us. Still enjoyable, just very gingery. Overall, this place continues to be a win for us. We started with the hot pretzel served with queso and mustard. It came out warm, soft, and perfectly salted--ideal for sharing and easily one of the highlights of the visit. The pizza was generously topped and very cheesy, which we appreciated, though the quality of the sausage could use some improvement to better match the rest of the ingredients. We also tried the hot chicken tenders with hot honey drizzle. Flavor-wise, they were decent, but the portion size felt closer to boneless wings than tenders. The fries were hot and crispy, but overall the chicken itself could benefit from a crispier exterior. Worth noting for future guests: the Red Eye cider buffalo sauce comes with a $1 upcharge.
