Every time I go into Shroomland, they're genuinely so nice, helpful, and super informed about all of their products. The staff actually takes time to explain ingredients, effects, and how everything works instead of just trying to sell you something, which I really appreciate. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality. I've tried the Rise gummies and the tablets. This shop does NOT sell any psilocybin mushroom products as that is still illegal. Having said that there is another kind of so called "magic" mushroom called the Amanita Muscaria aka Fly Agaric. The Amanita is NOT what you want to trip on. It is a very spooky a d extremely unpleasant experience and can be fatal in higher doses. It also causes delerium and prolonged use of the Amanita even in microdoses can cause liver damage as well as rage attacks. I dont know if this shop has any products containing Amanita but there are shops/dispensaries and brands that do under the guise of giving the impression they are selling "magic mushroom" products. This shop is selling products made with a semi-synthetic research chemical in them known as psilacetin aka 4-AC0-DMT. As the guy on the counter explained, psilacetin is metabolized in your body "into psilocybin" which is what gives you similar effects as the real deal psilocybin mushroom. Here's the thing: You are NOT going to have the same effect as the real deal. While similar it is definitely NOT the same. In addition, 4-ACO-DMT has not been studied enough to be 100% sure that it is safe for human consumption. Albert Hoffman, the father of synthesizing LSD also synthesized 4-ACO-DMT, the chemical in the mushroom products at this shop. Right now there is no ban on the semi-synthetic compound so this is how shops like this are able to find a loophole in the laws and sell you this. There is no transparency and they have no problem misleading the uninformed unsuspecting public. I tried the Rise Passion fruit at a microdose level. I had slight remnants of nausea-like feelings that eliminated my appetite and made me want to walk a lot. I also became very talkative. It felt similar to the real deal but not quite the same. It felt semi-synthetic. At the very end of 6 hours I became slightly introspective but the Spirit of the actual mushroom was missing that you get when you eat the real deal, so keep that in mind. Overall, I am not sure I would try this again or not. On one hand there was less body load, but it also lacks the actual Spirit of the mushroom too. Also, while Albert Hoffman's LSD is safe to use, there is still some question about his other research chemicals such as the one in the mushroom products at this shop, 4-ACO-DMT. Going further, NONE of the products list a COMPLETE list of ACTUAL ingredients and that should be cause for GREAT CONCERN. You DO NOT know what all is in any given product. Remember the days of the synthetic cannabis products aka Spice? So in a nutshell- there are chemicals in the products that are of the triptamine/tryptamine family compounds that will make you trip but it is NOT the magic mushroom known as Psilocybin. It is a synthetic, lab created chemical compound. No one in that shop will tell you this information so google and look for reddit threads and also check out erowid. But you dont know what all else may be in those products and there is no transparency. Please do your research and think long and hard before giving this a try. You are basically making yourself a guinea pig for experimentation and could potentially live to regret it. I got some Road Trip gummies from here. I asked if it was real mushrooms and they told me it was "mushroom extract." I bought some and had a couple. I later learned they weren't psylocibin mushrooms but Amanita mushrooms (see attached pic.) I did experience some psylocibin-like effects such as more vibrant colors but the feeling wasn't the same.
