The worst customer service with no knowledge. Also very expensive. I walk in to buy some vitamins, the item was buy one and get the 2nd one half off. But when I went home and checked the receipt I was charged full price for both items. I returned to store and show them the receipt but they said no. I've been shopping at the Vitamin Shoppe for many years--I've been to this one, the one on Westwood Blvd, Fairfax Blvd, Ventura Blvd, Rosecrans Blvd, Costa Mesa, Irvine, and probably a bunch more I can't recall right now. Whenever I see one, I take note or stop in. The one thing all the Vitamin Shoppes have in common is that they all sell Vitamins. And the other thing they all have in common is that they are all Boring. I really don't know how you make them exciting. Maybe put some energetic music on. Most of the employees don't even seem excited to be working with all these Vitamins. Maybe they need to take more Vitamins? Is there a Vitamin that gets you excited about your job?--whatever it is? I would take one! Prices here are basically the same as most anywhere--I compare them to Whole Foods on some Vitamins and they are about the same, sometimes Whole Foods has a sale so it's less. Most of the big Vitamin names control (fix) their retail prices. They also sell some things here that are bad for you like the Lenny & Larry sugar cookies--don't eat that crap. Lenny pays for placement in the store right in front. They make you believe you are getting high protein and you end up high on sugar. I usually come here for Solgar Vitamin C--Solgar is one of the oldest Vitamin Companies--been making Vitamins before most of the other brands--very high quality. I also get the Nature's Way Multi-Vitamin for men. I always wonder what would happen to me if I took the Woman's Vitamin. My friend says that if I took the Woman's Vitamin it would save me a lot of money because I would not have to pay for dates anymore....I said Yeaaa...but what if the Vitamin causes me to grow long blond hair--that's expensive to color and cut monthly... Anyway, they have parking in the back here or at the meters on the side. I sometimes lock my bike to a pole in the front--no bike rack. Products are usually very fresh, but check dates always. I will keep coming here or any of the other Vitamin Shoppes. I just wish there was a way to jazz these stores up somehow. Fabulous customer service! I have been coming here for the past year and have had exceptional service. Today was no exception. Art helped me find the perfect protein powder, allowing me to sample the powder on promotion just to make sure that I would like it. I had a million questions as I am very particular, and he had the answers. It is absolutely worthwhile to be part of their reward VIP program, as there are not only weekly specials, but points that can be cashed into dollars and savings. They also have a wide variety of vitamins with very competitive pricing to online sites. Thanks Art for all your help. I was in a desperate search for "Wellness Formula" as a good friend recommended it for an immunity booster and I could feel the cold coming on. I did an internet search and found that Vitaminshoppe sold it for a good price, cheaper than Whole Paycheck. Since I was visiting a client in Santa Monica I dropped in quickly to this location. Parking was easy, there are spots in the back. I was immediately greeted and asked if I could be assisted. They took me right to Wellness formula. I bought the biggest bottle they sell. At the checkout counter, there was some natural sunscreen and when I asked about it, the associate took me to their "natural product" section. Who knew Vitaminshoppe sold a vast array of lotions, hair care, soap, etc of the natural and chemical free variety. I was pretty stoked because I needed face lotion and conditioner. SCORE! Ordered online so I can drop by and pick up my order real quick. I was waiting for the confirmation email all day yesterday....didn't get it. Then today I got an email from them stating "Unfortunately, we could not meet our commitment for your order. You order has been cancelled." Without any detailed explanation. Products I ordered were all "available for pick up today at this location" They just wanna cancel my entire order without explaining what they were out of and how long it will take for them to restock them. This place is super hit or miss. As it is right by my house, I come here often for many of my vitamin needs. Sometimes I get a super overzealous staff member who knows everything and anything about vitamins and supplements. On the other hand, today I had someone who barely spoke to me except it checked out and even then was a little bit rude and standoffish. The vitamins here are mass-market and not particularly notable. I would prefer to shop either online or at a smaller family run or small business establishment that really knows their stuff and has excellent product and can steer me in the right direction when I don't know exactly which brand to buy. All in all, if at all hours or in desperate need of vitamins, this place is acceptable but definitely nothing to write home about. I am a little confused on how it has such high reviews, but I will say I've had exceptional service on occasion. However, they don't stock enough high end and well sourced vitamins for me to even consider it for a regular shop. It's your average mass market corporate vitamin shop. I buy quest bars and had been buying them directly from the manufacturer I ran out of my favorite flavors and called the vitamin shoppe in Santa. Monica Vince couldn't have been more helpful. He got me the bars I needed and signed me up for the auto delivery which adds an additional discount the price was better than I had been getting from quest and it is great to be able to pick them up in the store or have them delivered Vince was great and it's a pleasure to see that customer service still counts Bravo read more

The employees are super friendly and there are a number of people who work here who are extremely well versed in supplementation. Prices are good - be sure to check out the discount table in the back for some amazing deals.
