This place has much improved since my last visit (which was 8 years ago, lol). Their menu has been expanded and they have definitely upped their game. I had the New Signature Smoked Peach and Chili Mango Chicken Bowl ($12.75) recently and it was fantastic! I can't even tell you what all was in it, but it was an explosion of flavour in my mouth, lol. There were these jalapeno crisps that were out of this world. The bowl was full of different textures and flavours and I absolutely loved it. I want to try the other Signature Bowls, but I don't know, the Smoked Peach and Mango Chili one was so awesome, that I might just have to get it again, lol. This location is in a plaza with a few other restaurants (The Burger's Priest, Zaky's, Thai Express and a few others) and some stores (Sally's Beauty Supply, Walmart, and more). Good food, good meats, good gosh let's eat. It's fast and as spicy as you want it and the staff is efficient and friendly. I like the whole wheat burrito with chicken; my wife likes the bowl. We generally eat at home but there are comfortable tables and the Mexican music isn't very annoying. Priced right and generous portions, you can't go wrong with the semi-authentic fare. read more

I just love this place!! I have been stopping by a lot recently to use up my Mucho coupons that I received in the mail, and I am hooked! The staff at this location are always so patient, and go the extra mile. Tonight the hubby and I got the soft taco's and they were delish! I love how the toppings are so colorful and fresh, like the cilantro, salsa's and jalapeno. Yum! We got a good seat tonight, in the corner by the door. One of the employees checked up on us, asked us how our meal was and even took our trays away!! I even saw him checking up on other tables, asking customers if they wanted another drink. *Amazing service!--Take notes restaurants!!* Will be back, I find its better to come to this location on a weeknight Monday-Thursday if you want to avoid the line ups and get a decent table. read more

BIG Noooo for quesadillas. They are stingy on what you can put in it. It ends up being very thin. There's no onions, no rice. The bread is soggy if you have it for leftovers. They pack it to take home in a box and the slices end up sticking together. If you want a crispy, full of toppings than go to Burrito Gringo! read more

I was always curious to try this place, and had a craving for Mexican, so I stopped by. I got a steak burrito, and you can choose from a variety of toppings. The workers are really efficient and fast! One thing I really like is the fact that there are about 4-5 different hot sauces that you can add to your burrito for more flavour. I LOVE spicy food, and they did not disappoint! The sauces were actually spicy, and my nose was running (sorry if that's gross), and made eating the burrito that much more enjoyable. The amount of meat was ok, and the steak was tender, so I appreciated that. Overall, I would definitely return when the craving for Mexican food strikes! read more

Yum yum yum - I love me some Mexican! I have to admit I was pretty psyched when this location opened in Nepean. Another option for take-out that is fresh and delicious that isn't Subway? Sold! Well, almost. My only issue with Mucho is the price - it's a tad expensive. A large chicken quesadillas, medium steak burrito and a side of chips with two cans of pop was $30. I suppose that's what we'd pay for 2 meal deals at Subway, but still. Anyway, on to the awesomeness. Upon entrance you're immediately greeted by some zippy salsa music on your way in, that makes you smile and if you're my boyfriend, you always need to do some kind of awkward dance move. Anyway, this location is ALWAYS busy, no matter when we go. The staff handles it really well. They're all super-friendly and very knowledgeable. They're about five steps above any other fast-food employees I've dealt with. The food is delicious - super fresh ingredients with lots of options and variety. Burritos, quesadillas, salads with steak, chicken or fish options. Only other complaint other than the price is that it can be hard to hear the employees behind the sneeze guard glass. You always hear people saying "excuse me? Sorry, didn't catch that." Fortunately the employees are good-natured (or used to it). Happy times - they also serve Corona and a few other beers for an after-work good time. I totally recommend their homemade chips and guacamole. If you're not into spice be sure to get their mild salsa - the medium's pretty spicy for us faint of heat peeps. Overall this is an awesome place to stop and eat when you're not into going to a sit down restaurant, or in a rush and craving Mexican. read more

We placed an online order at mucho burrito south keys. When we got there to pick up, they couldn't find the order anywhere. They eventually found it and made the order. They forgot to add the chips and salsa, had to remind them. Got home and the order was wrong... no idea what they were thinking. Total disappointment! read more

My family likes this place, so. Brought me here for a quick lunch. Having been to.Mexico I know I like real Mexican flavors, but I am not impressed by tex mex, however, I was reading reviews about the freshness etc etc.. So thought.. OK. The prices are too high for what you get. I got the large burrito as I saw it as most cost efficient and I saved half for the next days lunch. You get to add condiments you like.. But the base of the burrito is stodgy flavorless rice, brown or white, and red or black beans..soggy and bland. You pay extra for quacamole... A lot extra for a small amount when that's seriously the only tasty thing in these burritos!!! The nacho platter is huge.. And masses of tortilla chips.. Too much dribbly queso, and not enough fresh toppings. Service is like robotic.. No one is friendly.or helpful, they just do the bare minimum. IMO why would anyone bother going here? read more

Amazing, amazing place. I've been coming here a lot more since I was first recommended this place. The first time I came here, I didn't order anything but got to smell and see how overflowing my boyfriend's chicken quesadilla was. The staff does not mess around with the portions. When I got my beef burrito, I couldn't decide which beef I wanted and the staff was nice enough to give me a bit of both to try in my burrito. It was quite satisfying seeing them try to close up the burrito when it was so overflowing with all the food they put into it. Their portions are generous. I had to take some home and just eat it for the next day because of how full I was from one half of the burrito (but I don't eat that much). For dessert we got their churros (which is one long churro stick with a dulce del luce cream - $2) and it was surprisingly a lot better than I expected. It was hard and crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The staff there is very friendly and patient. Best thing - They always have a smile on their faces! This place has some better customer service than I've seen at most fancy restaurants. The burritos were good (but also about $10, which isn't that bad, all things considered - especially with portions), but I'd come back for the customer service ever time. Great place to go if you are a family looking for good quality, fast, healthy food. Took the whole family there over a dozen times when I don't feel like cooking. They have great kids meals. My daughter eats about 70% of it- that's good considering most of the times she leaves over half over her plate during dinner. The salad is ok, burritos are excellent but I much prefer the soup. Its the gooey cheeze that make it AWESOME. The fact that my daughter can sit at a booth and bounce around makes me happy. Sometimes she will dance to there Mexican music. Not only we're they rude to me & my toddler but when I ordered our gluten free meal it's the only Mexican place in Ottawa where the corn tortilla is disgusting and actually falls apart the second you touch it. It was a tray of "slop", not to mention they tried to charge us $1.50 for a teaspoon worth or guacamole! Rip off and terrible food. I can't believe this place is this popular. If you or your children are gluten free take them elsewhere please. They have no respect and terrible food. Especially when they charge an arm and a leg for gluten free tacos. Mucho Burrito is good fast food. It will not blow your socks off, but it is enjoyable and healthier than a lot of fast food options (if you skip on a ton of cheese and some of the additional sauces). Their chicken is good, but sometimes dry. My favourite thing that they offer is their hot sauces. For the last couple of years they have had gift packs around Christmas. It would make a great stocking stuffer for the spicy food lover in your life. read more

Ottawa Trainyards location. Terrible service. Bland food. The servers were disorganized and the food just isn't worth it, with other awesome places in town. Went over to the Mucho Burrito after an intended trip to the 5 Guys went south since they were out of hamburger buns. We decided we'd check out the Mucho Burrito having heard so much about it. We were met by the most disorganized assembly line of workers, a rushed panic of poor service and the left us waiting to catch up each new member of the line with the progress of our order. They were all on top of one another, mixing up orders and creating chaos, and we hadn't made it past the topping selection yet. The portions were laughably small. The rice was hard and old. The pico de gallo had that terrible veggie preservative on it. The guac was flavourless. The black beans were dry. It is so sad to load up a burrito with so many flavours and have it be completely absent of anything tasty. No actual proper mexican hot sauces, and no green salsa? They had might as well just pack up and leave along with their terrible customer service. To their credit, the steak was really good, nice charbroiled flavour and tender even though it was cooked well done. When we went to pay, even the cashier was in a disorganized panic. It took us 5 minutes to tell her and retell her what our order was. We ordered a churro, she said it would be 5 minutes and then yelled to another staff member to cook more, then she didn't even ring it through on our order. Just a terrible experience, that even though the steak was delicious, I'll never be back to this or any other mucho burrito location. If you like mass produced terribly bland "mexican" food served by imbeciles, you're gonna love this place. Burrito Gringo on Bronson has my forever vote. read more

I always enjoyed the burritos from Mucho Burrito so being in the area I decided to give this location a try. I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food was their standard Tex Mex with I really enjoy and their options to add some extra heat were good. I had a fully loaded "Hotter than Hell" Ghost Pepper burrito with beef. It was very good and the heat was really nice, if they make this a regular menu item I think I might be back weekly. The price might seem a little high, but considering what you get and a family run to the golden arches or equivalent rings up for the mid 20s, ~$30 isn't too bad. Plus its always nice to have good fast food and a cold one in the same place. read more

I was impressed by this place. The chips and salsa were amazing. Salsa tasted super fresh, but was really spicy, so don't get the hot if you aren't a spice person. The burrito was just ok, everything tasted fresh and the flavors were fine, my gripe with it was that the tortilla wasn't toasted at all, it would have made it that much better since it was quite soggy and wet. I'm not understanding the criticisms of the prices. A combo will run you more than some other fast food places but the portions are enormous (couldn't even finish my burrito), and the ingredients are much better than other fast food options. read more

As a frequent Nepean visitor from Toronto, I've passed by this place many times and wanted to try it and compare it to other chains like Chipotle in Toronto. As I told the staff behind the counter that it was my first time here, she kindly explained their 6-to-8-panel menu and how the process works. I chose to go with the trio tacos and crispy tacos. And I chose chicken, shrimp, and spicy sausage for my three tacos. When I inquired whether the sausage was really spicy, she immediately offered a sample, which I liked. I topped by tacos with cheese, mild salsa (had the choice of mild, medium, or hot salsa), as well as sour cream. When I was paying for my food she asked if I wanted a drink or upgrade to a combo, I said no to both and went on to pay with the machine. However, I was shocked when she offered me a glass (styrofoam cup) of cold water, which I happily accepted. The tacos were excellent and I can say that they are comparable to those of Chipotle in Toronto (I have never been to Chipotle other than those in Toronto, so I can't say for those in the US, but it should be the same). The staff who served me was extremely friendly and kind, I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely come back next time I visit Ottawa! read more

After a terrible experience at the similar Burrito Gringo tonight, I just want to express my love for Mucho Burrito. Say you will about what they do, they do it well. Ottawa doesn't have the best selection of Mexican places, and this one is definitely not the most authentic. It is, however, my favourite. It is the place to go for a tasty, fresh and huge burrito. For a step above fast food southwest/mexican food, this is the place! I love the trio of tacos, get 3 different ones but always have to get the shredded pork and beef. Delicious. My one complaint is they should really use spoons with holes/slits in them so that some of the juices can drain out from the meat/veg. Sometimes your burrito or taco gets soggy SUPER quick and can become a giant mess, but you'll still eat is it's that good. lol I also like getting the warm chips and salsa as a side - both made in house. The food is good, but they push you though so fast, it ruins the experience. After adding 1 or 2 items, they are asking you if its for here or to go, giving you almost no time before they start to roll it up ! Whats the BIG rush ?? Even when there is no one behind you they rudely want to rush you though. A few bad servers at Innes and Merivale should be fired ! I found train yards Great ! They even asked if i wanted the burrito sauce which was never offered at the others. Burrito Gringo is a much better place. They don't rush you, They don't tell you they can't put salsa on a Quesadilla like Much does ( than whine it makes a mess), and they actually leave your item on the press for more that 10 seconds ! I am sorely disappointed i paid too much $15 after tax for nothing when I should have driven down the road to Burrito Gringo who charges less and fills the quesadilla considerably more. Ick. I have enjoyed coming to Mucho Burrito for the last couple of years, usually it's quick and filling for a reasonable price. However, after my most recent visit (Feb 3) I will never return to this location, and I am debating if I will ever eat at this chain again. There was a female employee, wearing an "El Captain" uniform who appeared to be handling the UberEats orders via tablet. I watched this young lady sneeze in her gloved hand, walk briefly to the back and reappear. it was a matter of seconds so she did not have enough time to properly wash her hands nor did it appear that she had changed gloves. Instead she started making a burrito, with the same gloves that she had sneezed into! I found this absolutely disgusting!! It was only after this did she change her gloves, and while she did not make my burrito she did wrap it and I could not stomach the thought of eating my own burrito. instead I walked over to the nearby Thai Express and ordered something there. I did make comments, however I do regret that I did not say something directly to the employee. I feel so bad for the poor person who ordered and ate that germy burrito. Take the money that you charge for guacamole please provide an your employees with extra gloves and education about proper hand washing techniques!! read more
