After speaking with Lena, I'm even more upset over all this. I've explained to her, as well as directed her to this review where I outline my dissatisfaction, what my issue with her is. She way overcharged me and she said she did that because I was nice to her and wanted a lot of work done. She says she does not understand my issue with her but then begged me to take the photo down. I asked, if you don't understand, why are to begging me to take the photo down? She had no answer and she has still never apologized. She said, I'm sorry if you were upset. My review remains unchanged for the following reasons: 1. Lena, the owner, has failed to return my calls and her response below does not acknowledge the problems supported by my photos. 2. The edging continues to veer off center and should be measured before correction. 3. The front edging, one cut off on the inside half of the thickness and the other cut off on the outside half looks ragged; 4. Communication with the homeowner is essential for the success of a project. Sending a workman, especially if he does not speak English, to work on this project without informing me that he was coming or what he was going to do to correct the problems until he had already left my property, does not reassure me of customer service, especially if the problems are not resolved. 5. Concerning the flowerbed edging, the edging had to be installed below the ground, because the edging fell in places without being grounded and supported. 6. My sprinkler heads and drains are blocked by landscape fabric and granite installed by Lena's crew; Lena tasked me to fix it. read more

Lena came out for the initial visit and thoroughly walked the property, measured and listened to my feedback. When we agreed on the contract, we were sent files where we could input our likes/dislikes on plant choices. She then provided a detailed design and listened to my feedback and answered all questions before installation. She and her team were timely, professional, and very helpful. Siara Designs was overpriced for the service they provided. There was no attempt to evenly space plants. Some plants (of different varieties) will eventually grow into each other, while other plants (of same variety) will have nearly a foot between them and perennials were placed without regard to where plants or trees were located. There was also poor communication. They ignored requests for a specific variety of plant and planted a variety that will grow much larger than we discussed. Lack of communication also resulted in getting a different variety of crepe myrtle than I would have liked. read more

Lena and her crew completed two backyard projects for us. The first in May 2018, the second last month (March 2020). In the first instance we were given Lena's details by way of recommendation. The second time, we obviously knew Lena, but our pool company had recommended an alternative so we evaluated both. Lena's pricing, approach, reviews and our experience of having worked with her before made it an easy decision to use her service again and we've been very happy on both occasions. Our most recent project involved a number of steps regarding some HOA approvals I had to obtain and Lena's design approach was very helpful in securing the approvals.
