When we purchased our home 18 months ago, our courtyard area literally consisted of concrete and lava rock. I tried (unsuccessfully) to landscape it myself the first spring and knew I needed help. The first designer who came out sent an outrageous estimate (I could have purchased a new car for what she quoted!) and I decided to try to do it again myself. (Again, unsuccessfully) Then I read a review about Siara Designs and gave Lena a call. She came out for the initial meeting and I appreciated that she didn't immediately try to tell me what I "should" do, or tell me what she had in mind. She listened when I told her the "look" I was going for and then walked me around the area and offered ideas and suggestions that fit the Zen/Meditation feel that I was hoping for. She totally understood what I was trying to accomplish AND her estimate to complete the ENTIRE project - from soil to buying new planters and a garden statue - was so reasonable, my response was, "Where do I sign?" Lena communicated with me about everything and even contacted me before spending a bit more than she had originally expected on a plant and wanted to make sure I was okay with that before moving forward. She and her crew arrived promptly and worked so hard (in blistering heat!) until the job was completed - way sooner than I anticipated. She sent detailed instructions on how to take care of all the plantings and has continued to keep up with the project by asking how the plants are doing, etc. I've had a couple of questions and she responds promptly to my texts and never seems to be too busy for my questions. If you're thinking about doing ANY type of landscaping, please give Lena a chance to give you a quote! Lena and her team did a beautiful job on our home's landscaping. From our first time meeting Lena, we were very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge.
