I was excited to try this restaurant whilst on a trip to London as I had heard only good things but I was disappointed. The staff were pleasant enough however hovered around and approached my table a little too often which made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the Penne Alla Norma which arrived in no time at all which makes me think it wasn't freshly cooked and it tasted like it too. The pasta and cheese were practically like cardboard and I didn't enjoy it at all but I was starving so I ate it. We had just come off a tour bus and Sicily was in walking distance. We didn't have a reservation but thankfully they were able to seat us right away. It's a really nice and spacious place inside. At about 7 pm on a Sunday night a man came to play the piano. So it was very nice listening to live music while we enjoyed our dinner. Please expect to spend some time here because just like any other European restaurant they take there time. You're meant to sit and enjoy your food and company. Pretty much most places I've visited in Europe are this way. So if you want the check you'll have to ask for it which is nice because you don't feel rushed. My husband and I split the arancini and the pizza piccante. Both were absolutely delicious and we were both very full. I did manage to fit some dessert in my belly. I chose to get the cheesecake which is made in house and the flavor changes everyday. Mine was a vanilla cheesecake with raspberry sauce. This I did not share... well I allowed my husband to have a tiny bite. I'm not a huge cheesecake person but wow. This cheesecake was spectacular. I wish I had ordered like four more of them. Definitely worth a try and it's also fun listening to the chefs in the kitchen speaking Italian. Reminds me of when I was in Italy. read more

Literally chose this restaurant because it was the closest to the bus station that we got off at. But I'm glad we did. Ordered the arincini which was very flavorful and had a nice marinera that has a nice little kick. Also ordered the picante pizza which had well balanced flavors. Staff was friendly and brought the food out when expected, but didn't bother us trying to get us to leave. Live pianist started playing when we were about to leave so we ordered a cheesecake, and I'm glad we did, delicious! read more

It's a nice enough restaurant, but the food was not amazing, the arancini were tiny and a bit stodgy, the bruschetta was ok but I've had way better. I had the Aubergine Penne with ricotta for my main which again, lacked in flavour but was nice enough. The Cranberry Cheesecake dessert was probably the most disappointing as it really looked amazing but was very bland tasting. I may have higher standards than average having lived in Italy for almost 2 years, where an effortless pasta dish is full of nuanced flavour, so I can understand why some may say this place is good - but food wise, this didn't hit any spots for me. In terms of service, everyone was friendly & the food was served promptly. We did ask for the air con to be switched off or at least turned down several times as it was blowing directly on us, but they'd just switch it off for a couple of minutes before turning it back on, so eventually we ended up eating with our scarves on - which was pretty annoying. I can't say I'm in any rush to come back here, but it's a half decent Italian restaurant in a convenient location. read more

We visited London for a few days and saw this place and thought we would get a quick bite to eat. I had no idea I would be eating the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. The service was amazing with the waitress and waiter being incredibly fast. The owner was there and he is one of the nicest men I have ever met. The inside and outside of the restaurant was decorated very nicely and it was very clean. If you're ever in london go eat at Sicily. Located right across the Victoria coach station, my husband and I decided to check out this place. It looked so quaint from the outside and has outside seating, mostly table for two. We were greeted right away and the server was very attentive and polite. They had a lunch special which included two courses for 15 pounds. Ordered the beef meatballs which were about 5-6 small meatballs in a flavorful tomato sauce. Server added fresh Parmesan cheese and pepper. The lemon chicken was very good with a nice flavor of lemon and tender chicken. The grilled veggies and potatoes were prepared well and the food came out hot. Restrooms were very clean as well and there was a nice bar area. We came in with a suitcase and the server offered us a nice table with room behind it for our things. Hi Everyone, My husband & I are in London for the week. We came across Sicily's because it was so close to where we stayed!!! We were their two times already & plan-to go back before we leave from our 7 days here in London. The first night we had three appetizers and they were are Delicious!!!! So our third night stay it got late & did not want to go far so we decided to go back. It was truly better the second time. I had the ribeye & my husband had the porkbelly with braised peas. He said it was the best meal he has ever had. I believed him because he is a food critic & is very picky!! The food was good the service was not. We had a young adult girl with circle glasses and brown hair. We watched her tend to the table right next to us and ignore our own table. Even with multiple attempts to get her attention. Another waiter came and took over for us after he noticed us being ignored. Never will go again. read more

Even though it looks lovely from the outside with a nice outdoor area and live music to entice you in, the food was not up to par and overpriced considering the quality it. Even though the waiters were all friendly and efficient, the food took an eternity to come out for quite simple orders - bruschetta, salad and pizza. While my friend's pizza was apparently decent, my food was bathed in oil, expensive and bland. The place has potential, but they need to up their game on the food front. read more

A very unassuming small brick house, at a very busy intersection, we wandered in as wayward travelers mostly because they were open during a time when most restaurants in the area were closed prior to dinner service at 1900. The previous ratings, coupled with an image of the menu got us through the door. It is a very small set of seating areas on two floors and the din of diners filled the room. We settled in an ordered wine, and small bites. The arancini were melty and served with a beautiful marinara for dipping. The pizza bread was chock full of roasted garlic. It was delicious. Coupled with their pepper and herb infused olive oil, it was to die for! We ordered a margherita pizza, the salmon tagliatelle and the aubergine Penne. Firstly, everything was piping hot. I love when things come out hot and fresh. The tagliatelle was amazing! It called for some salt, but the taste was fresh and creamy. Also, the aubergine penne was incredible. Tangy and complex. Formerly da Scalzo, the brothers Scalzo have rebranded their Belgravia restaurant as Sicily. In a converted school, the cavernous restaurant has two mezzanines and a bar. We had lunch there recently, and the food on the daily lunch menu was excellent, and with very generous portions. After a starter of calamari dusted and deep fried with salt and chilli, I moved on to chargrilled pork ribs with fennel sausage and pancetta mash - lovely porky charred flavour. Then a whopping slice of tiramisu. The set menu is £13.50 for two courses. With prosecco, coffee our three course meal for four was £114 - pretty good value. Strongly recommended. read more

My mom and I were staying right up the street at the comfort inn, and the front desk man recommended that we come here. We thoroughly enjoyed our food! We started with an eggplant appetizer and some gin and tonics. For our food I had the arabiatta and my mom had the seafood pasta. Everything was excellent! Our food had lots of flavor and everything was cooked just right! We finished with some coffees and the cheesecake of the day (passionfruit). The cheesecake was light and delicious. The prices were very fair. There was live piano music, the restuarant was clean, and the waiters/waitresses were very attentive! I am so glad that our hotel recommended this place!
