This place makes the "self take struggles" not so real!! They take care of everything so all you need to worry about is doing the work.

His backdrop was fantastic. His lighting was perfect. His camera was game on. Everything was completely fantastic. Easy parking even offered me a giant water. I sent the audition to my agent who is very specific and he said this was probably the best audition he's seen in years and I've sent in some pretty good ones. I must tell you I was pleasantly surprised and I watched my tape over and over again and it's spot on fantastic. Josh was even nice enough to send it off using active access and editing. There's no way there's no reason to go to anyone else. This guy is five star and I'll be recommending him to my students and coming to him for years to come.

If you're an actor in need of a theatrical demo reel you need to STOP dead in your tracks and thank…read moreyour lucky stars that you found RFW. I've been in the business for over 15 years and enjoyed most of my career successes as a voice actor. A few years ago I decided to make the transition into film and television. If you're on a similar path, you know that having a GREAT demo reel isn't just important - a GREAT reel is a necessary element in your overall marketing efforts. If you've never had the opportunity to be a part of a professional film or television production you can't simply splice nonexistant work product together to showcase your talents and abilities. That said, if you don't have actual footage of film or TV work you can't make a demo - which means you will most likely not be provided with the same opportunities that seasoned, actors get on a daily basis from agents and casting professionals. In my humble opinion, you are left with two choices: 1.) PRAY that a casting director likes your headshot, calls you in to read, sees your potential in the audition, takes a chance and hires you. Then, after you're hired, cross your fingers that footage from that ONE gig can be leveraged into a legitimate piece of marketing to generate more audition opportunities (assuming your scene(s) aren't lost on the cutting room floor). 2.) Make your demo reel by enlisting friends or fellow actors to shoot fabricated scenes that you HOPE end up being an excellent marketing showpiece (which they probably won't). Frankly, both options suck (I've tried both). 1.) You can't bank on casting directors recognizing your abilities or talents without providing proof of such outside of an audition. The entertainment business is somewhat of a closed system. Most actors are banking on luck, and the law of averages is (regretfully) not in your favor. Casting Directors aren't always willing to take a chance on an unknown commodity, regardless of how great your performance in the audition might be. A casting professional NEEDS to see what you're capable of before they can gain the confidence to advocate on your behalf. 2.) Being resourceful is great/admirable, but if you're not a seasoned filmmaker, your bootstrapped demo reel might elicit the opposite reaction. In a world of cheap, proliferated technology, aspiring actors and filmmakers forget that end-results are not directly connected to the great gear. DSLR's and moderately priced cinema cameras might be capable of capturing beautiful images, but you need vision, experience, and finesse to utilize those tools properly. That said, even if you manage to capture beautiful footage - other elements of the production will (most likely) suffer if you're not experienced in filmmaking. Writing, sound, lighting, editing...These skill sets are not easily mastered. So, what is the hell are you supposed to do? Hire Relentless Film Works! Steve, Troy, Amber, Arnella, Peggy, Steven (and everyone else I may have left out) are working PROS. They create THE BEST demo reels in the business. Their original writing, directing and set dressing is amazing. They take care of everything except your actor homework and wardrobe. My experience with RFW was STELLAR. DON'T HESITATE FOR A MOMENT. They know how to get shit done! In fact, they were more productive and streamlined than some professional studio productions in which I have taken part. Their stable of talent both behind (as well as in front of) the camera is impressive. You will NOT be disappointed. Be Fearless! Be Relentless! Let the crew at RFW provide you one essential marketing tool you'll need to move your career forward. Chance always favors the prepared! If you require more information to make a decision, I will happily provide a more detailed reference - email me at robertgunton@yahoo.com It should be known that no member of RFW requested this endorsement. It's not often you encounter people like the RFW crew, and all actors in LA need to know about this hidden gem!

I've seen actors I recognize from TV (General Hospital, Curb Your Enthusiasm) come to do workshops, meet with casting directors and get the information on how to make it in this business. It's valuable information that it would take years to get on your own! You walk away knowing how casting directors see you, what roles you would be right for and how to have those perfect headshots that fit you! I went to an event and one of the casting directors told me I'd be perfect for Disney and gave me the number to call her friend over at Disney and got me an appointment. This I wasn't expecting and was an added bonus. Studio Productions, is professional, helpful, with a friendly staff. It's conveniently located with spacious studios. In all honesty, no one compares. Now you can be part of webisodes, get professional tape, headshots if you ask for any additional services they always have someone to refer you too! They've done all the work so you don't have too. They have speed rating events with agents, they have a party like atmosphere that make you feel you are in a red carpet type event. Through this company, I've met producers, have had meetings with producers and it's taken me further to network meetings. I know this might be unusual, and the results vary, but if I never went to this company the doors wouldn't have opened up for me to take this rare opportunity. It may not happen for everyone, but it will happen for someone. A someone who shows up. I just love that fact that people get opportunities here. It's all about who you know and Studio Productions is who I know. It's worth it to at least check it out as an actor, reality TV personality, or someone who wants to know more about the business or possibility thinking about becoming a casting director. There are many CD's and producers who actually contact this company to shoot projects, film celebrities and contacts them for talent usually reality TV, but I know this because I've been one of those people referred. This is NOT a part of their service, but this tells you where the companies heart is. They are there to help and that is exactly what they do.

Over the last 6 months, almost every audition/part I have gotten has been the result of the CD workshops at SP. I also got my agent as a result of a workshop. Like reviewer Shannon said, you have to have the goods for ANY workshop to be useful. Don't throw your money away on CD or Agent workshops until you really understand yourself and your strengths as an actor. And, hey, if you are having a disconnect and not feeling as though the workshops are yielding results, be willing to talk to Jenny, the awesome consultant and coordinator at the studio. As much of a genius as I think I am, I really do need someone telling me that I need to go back and do some more work in a particular area from time to time. I have to say these negative reviews make no sense to me based on my experience and the experience of other actor colleagues that have gone to Studio Productions. The cost of their workshops is very competitive (if not less expensive than other places) and I personally appreciate receiving reminders of workshops more than once. There have been MANY times when I heard about a workshop at the beginning of the week and it didn't register with me. It was only when I received the reminder that I remembered to sign up. And if I didn't want to do the workshop, I deleted the email and went on about my business. I highly recommend this place if you are ready to be in front of casting directors, agents and managers. The CD workshop is just a necessary expense for actors and Studio Productions is one of the very best places to spend the money.
