On a Friday evening around 9:30 p.m., my friend and I were lucky enough to snag an open table in the back. All other tables and bar seating were taken. The service was fast and attentive and the menu robust. They divide the cocktails between more sweet/fruit forward and boozy. Most cocktails around just under $20 USD per glass. My friend ordered the winning 2018 cocktail called "Walnut Brown" with roasted rye bread infused bourbon, Drambuie, Merlet Cafe and bitters. He loved it! I took a sip and even enjoyed it despite preferring sweeter drinks. My "Grapefruit Margarita" was perfect with a slight smoky taste through its sweetness.

Located along busy Vesterbrogade north of the meatpacking district, you ring a door bell to get into the waiting area. Once in, the bookshelf opens into the bar space. During the week, they keep the front room open and open the back room on weekends when its more than tourists visiting. The cocktail menu is long, but even better are the bartenders. Taking pride in what they do, you can ask them to make a drink that you like. They appreciate the challenge. My friend and I both did bartender's choice and were pleased with our drinks. We also had fun chatting with the two bartenders. They asked us questions about our hometown and gave us many insights into Copenhagen life and Danish culture.

Stunning views outside as night fell. I personally love to sit at the bar because you have front row seats to see all the action while they prepare the drinks. The beers are delicious - I especially like the Berliner Weisse, as I go for low ABV beers, and not IPAs. That said, I had a Mikkeller IPA and liked it - it was nicer than the super pushy American IPAs. Love the atmosphere here, very hygge with the candles and all. Guys behind the bar were really friendly and helpful as well. Will return next time in CPH!

The five stars say it all - it was love at first sight and I hope this relationship will be a long…read morelasting one It was only yesterday that I had the chance to visit this place myself, a place that Mina K and my other friends rambled about that serves BOTH cocktails and beer, how convenient is that since I like them both? *ahem* We arrived a little bit too early yesterday and decided to wait patiently for our booze outside by the bench when the nice bartender invited us in way before the opening hours. She probably got some hunches that we needed alcohol and we needed it now. The pleasant experience didn't end just there, I ordered a cocktail called "Deez Nuts" (no worry, no politics in the ingredients list, just rum, lemon, hazelnuts and eggwhites!) and Mina K ordered Ryan's Apples. We were told to sit down and she would deliver our cocktails (another fine service!) to our table. Since she just opened the place, she lighted some candles to make "hygge" and gave us a bottle of sparkling water to share as well. When the cocktail came, I was floored by the amazing flavour. I had never been a huge fan of rum (I do love me some rum raisin ice cream and mojito, but that's it) but this cocktail was just nice - unfortunately I am not a poet and couldn't describe it in pretty words, but it was very delightful and refreshing to drink. Mina K's cocktail (Ryan's Apple) was very nice too, although I didn't like the cinnamonny taste - but that's just me, I don't like cinnamon that much. Apart from cocktails, they do have some very interesting beer from Mikkeller (duh!) after all, it's a Mikkeller bar. The huge plus side of this place is also the fact that it's walking distance from Nørreport st / Torvehallen. You could get something delicious from Torvehallen and then walk here for some "refreshment" (like we did after the wonderful tacos from Yuca Taco yesterday). It's far more convenient location than Mikkeller in Viktoriagade or the one in Stefansgade.... and it does serve both cocktails and beer, just in case you're not in the mood for the other.
