The man was very friendly and said that even though he was about to close, he would stay open if we really needed a mattress. When we got there, I was so shocked at the prices!!! Apparently they operate similarly to stores like TJ Maxx where they get discontinued mattresses and such and sell them for SOOOOO cheap. It was just a no-frills warehouse type place, so don't expect the inside to be all fancy with displays. He had some mattresses laid out front as well as TONS in the back storeroom. The best part was that all the prices were negotiable. Even though the "Sale" price tags on our two mattresses were $995 and $499, he immediately offered us a deal. We got 2 nice Sealy and Serta mattresses valuing at almost $3k (full total retail) and only spent $956!!! He also threw in some mattress protectors. Or about how I got an insane deal on said bed (a real, name brand bed: Sealy Posturepedic to be specific... the gel series)... it was about $300 less than a similar bed I saw online. Or, I could speak about the kind, very un-pushy salesman that aided me in my bed-picking. But that wouldn't tell the whole story. In reality, I ran into this store in desperation. I was moving the next day, I needed a bed, and not just any bed, but a nice, comfy, homey bed. And I needed it delivered, box springs, bed frame and all, and set up (because hey, I'm a girl, and beds are large, unwieldy and heavy). But the idea of never getting to test the mattress until it arrived at our home chased us away from the online companies. The store is conveniently located and a nice, clean atmosphere. Richard was very accommodating and extremely informative. We of course started at the front of the store, where the more expensive mattresses were located. But we worked our way back to mattresses which were still quite comfortable but had less sticker shock. We took notes, and we left to check out the competition. The other guys had good deals as well, but never the same personal experience that we got from Richard at this Bedzzz Express. We kept coming back, and this is where we finally made our purchase. The deal was good, including a military discount because of our son's service in the Coast Guard. Our delivery date was delayed because of the remodeling project in our room, and we even had to push it back another week when other elements of the remodel weren't ready. The company was very accommodating the whole time, the delivery arrived on time and the delivery crew was very friendly.

I had Sandy as a sales representative. She was extremely pushy when helping my grandmother and I on our first visit to order furniture. We left after buying most of the bedroom set on our first trip in October. They told me my order would be delivered at the end of November/very beginning of December. Sandy sold my grandmother on a "gold plan" on the furniture we bought, where Sandy claimed the furniture would be delivered and the movers would spray this protective coating on it after they build the set. We returned to the store in November and purchased some other items, and a "bunkie board" to put in between my bed slats and the mattress. They told me the first batch of furniture would be delayed and delivered in late December. December rolls around and my furniture was delayed again to the end of January. I was extremely upset because we initially bought the set in October and it is was now late January and I had no bedroom furniture. Finally my furniture was delivered in late January and they did not spray it when delivered as promised, and the board we payed way too much money for was missing. My grandmother contacted Sandy and she claimed that the furniture was sprayed with the Gold Plan Protection at the factory and she just FORGOT TO ADD THE BOARD. My grandmother had to pay Havertys once again, and then we were told to pick up this board this past weekend, February 7th. Sandy told us that the board folds up and would fit into the back of an suv. My grandmother and I show up to pick up this board, Sandy is not there, and the board does not fold up and will not fit in the car. She lied to us and will not contact us back on the issue. I spoke with other representatives and they said the board will be delivered within a few weeks, but this is extremely disappointing. Yes the furniture is beautiful, but it is extremely overpriced and this whole situation is a headache.

Haverty's was the first furniture store I visited, and I had no idea what I wanted, but I fell in love with the Brigitte set and decided to spring for it after visiting several other stores and deciding that I liked it best. I purchased a queen bed at $899 and the dresser with mirror at $1,299. In addition, I also purchased a platform to put under my mattress for $150. While the bedroom set was a bit on the spendy side, I was able to take advantage of a $100 off each $1,000 promo that they were running. Having owned the furniture for a few months now, I am very happy with it and have received compliments on it. While I have nicked the silver finish on the bottom of the dresser with the vacuum cleaner a couple of times, I've been able to fix it right up with some $3 silver acrylic paint from Target. I dealt with Janice, who I believe is an assistant manager, and she was helpful and not super pushy when making the sale. The delivery charge was a bit more than some other places in town, but they did show up in good shape within the stated time window. The delivery guy I had was also slightly unprofessional, asking me whether I'd be willing to provide football tickets in a serious way upon learning that I work for UA. Overall, I had a decent experience with Haverty's and would purchase from them again. I love my bedroom set and expect that it will provide many years of use and happiness--at least, as long as I am still single and there's no man in my life to deride its ultra-femininity. :-)

After no less than 4 visits to the store we decide on a brand narrow down and density. But the feel wasn't just right. We were informed that the bed ,style and a firmness we prefer was available for order. Quietly this seals the deal. I return alone he next day to surprise my wife with the purchase. Upon my return, I see a new banner advertising a new special. I inform my contact my intent to buy and ask if the new special would interfere with my previous price quoted. The answer I received was no,It would only help me. Done deal I said. Money was exchanged,receipt given, delivery set up. Oh and I surprise my wife with the fact that I have not only purchased the mattress she liked,but sprung for the base she loved as well. Only to be called a few hours later to be told that the special order we had been sold wasn't really available. (It was available just not for the price we paid) My wife and I debate and settle for the model similar to the one on the floor. Only to get another call to be told that they will not honor the agreement we have made a few hours early. Mr watson attempts to renegotiate our terms, Says that his District manager will not allow him to sell at this price. The suggested price is now for ten percent more than we agreed. Remember this was not a quote not a estimate this was a fully executed legal transaction. At this point my confidence and trust is broken and decide cancel the entire order. I would like to make a point that Mr Treadway watson was helpful and patient with us I also believe he was distressed in delivering the news. After a little more shopping I was able to find the exact mattress exact frame Same brand. Set up haul off the works for $100 less. My Take away s from my mattress shopping. Mattresses are highly inflated. Salesman have a lot of Lee way. Sales are phony. And don't trust the bedzz express.
