It may be tiny but this market packs a punch! Convenient location, ample parking, fair prices and a great selection of snacks, drinks, candy, and even wine! Catch them at the right time and you might get lucky enough to pick something delicious up from their homestyle deli! Late hours too mostly...

Great sandwiches in a town of great sandwiches! They put special extras like basil and pepper sauce that make me crave their sandwiches specifically. I also like that their bread is not too thick, so it doesn't get in the way. Sidewalk Market also has a surprisingly large and eclectic selection of beer and ethnic foods that are hard to find. Go there and support a nice family that will remember your name next time you're there!

Great deal on a very tasty sandwich. Even loaded with all the fixins, it wasn't too soggy. The dressing and the banana peppers give it a nice flavor punch. Good selection of beers as well. Grab a sandwich and go devour it at Mitchell Park. Also close to the SLO Amtrak station for those looking for a bite to eat before or after a long train ride.

After 4 PM, they offer the "420 Special," which makes their sandwiches only $9. They also have online ordering, which I attempted to use, but they had already reached their limit for online orders because they were so busy. And after visiting, I can see why! Despite the crowd, they've perfected their sandwich ordering system, it's super efficient. When you walk in, you fill out a small paper checklist with your order and hand it to one of the employees at the register. They submit your order, you pay, and then wait for your sandwich. Expect at least a 25-minute wait, especially during busy hours. I tried the Tropical Vacation sandwich: smoked turkey, jalapeño havarti, "the works," romaine, sprouts, avocado, honey mustard, cranberry sauce, and sliced sourdough. I swapped the sourdough for Dutch Crunch bread, and it was PERFECT. It was the thickest, juiciest, and most flavorful sandwich I've ever had. I'll be dreaming about it until I can have it again. The pictures truly don't do these sandwiches justice, they were massive. I also tried the Spring Club sandwich. It was just as thick and delicious, though not quite as juicy as the Tropical Vacation. Honestly, I want to try ALL of their sandwiches because I have no doubt they're all amazing. The shop itself is super cute with a vintage feel, and they also offer a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Food: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

It absolutely lived up to the hype. The staff was friendly, and while it took a little while for our sandwiches to come out, it was completely understandable because the place was packed. We ordered the Dutch Crunch and the Chipotle Beef, and both were incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the stop. I'd absolutely recommend checking this place out if you're passing through SLO!

This was actually pretty shameless and all you had to do was order one other site item that totaled two dollars and you got a sandwich for It turns out I was ordering before the store opened so I was automatically given a pick up time of half an hour after they opened for the day. I went with a simple tuna fish sandwich on their small sub. The app did not let me know when my sandwich was ready, but I did arrive a few minutes early, and it was all ready to go. I was met by the smiling face of the single employee in the restaurant. My sandwich was already bagged. My name was on it and my chips and extra napkins were inside already. The store was very clean and organized, and I seemed to be the first customer of the day. The sandwich itself was very good. It had a generous amount of filling and was served as represented on the menu. I will have to try Capriotti's again to try a different type of sandwich as I think it's unfair to judge an entire restaurant by a tuna fish sandwich. However, everything was as advertised and I can confidently give this location a thumbs up.

It wasn't the quickest option because there was one person rolling dough off to the side and one person handling everything else including making the food and taking orders, so I would expect to wait. If you have the time though, the breakfast bagel sandwiches were good and they also have a chocolate zucchini loaf that we also bought. The bagels tasted fresh and the sandwiches were very filling. I didn't add anything to my bagel (beyond the cream cheese, tomato, and avocado that was included in the breakfast bagel), but my boyfriend added bacon and it was a generous amount. The chocolate zucchini loaf is honestly more of a cake and quite a bit sweeter than other zucchini bread I've tried. If you're looking for a denser chocolate cake with little flecks of green, it's great. They also offered samples, and we bought the chocolate zucchini loaf because we enjoyed the sample. There isn't anywhere to sit inside but there are a couple of tables outside on the patio. Only a couple of them had umbrellas, and unfortunately we were at one without an umbrella, but it wasn't too bad since it was earlier in the day. This is definitely a more casual place, and worth going to if you have some extra time to spend and it's convenient to you.
