I ordered some chair pads for my kitchen table through the owners. They used a local company, Rhody Rugs, to stock some of their products. I love that local supports local here! The products are reasonably priced! The owners take a holiday during the month of July (Probably to make room for more cool things they will find on holiday!) and when I went there recently, they had a 20% off sale on the entire store! The owners are also very, very kind. They took the time to talk to me to get to know me. I went back to the store to pick up my chair pads and I did not expect them to remember me, but they did! It's so rare and lucky to find a business that cares about customers like this. This is a store I will be going to frequently, as the merchandise will change and turnover and the owners are awesome!

I found a cool starfish for three dollars to put in my shade garden, and I found a cool antique key to make into a necklace. I even found an interesting book about a boy named Toby Tyler, who runs away from his cruel uncle to join the circus. I love coming in here because even though the store might look small, I always manage to find something interesting. I'll have to go back there again and see what else I can find.

Old stuff in an…read more old place If you like antiques and enjoy old buildings it's difficult to find a cooler place than Stone Mill. The building was an old textile mill built way back in about 1814. Huge blocks of stone form the outside and impressive exposed beams and steep staircases are obvious once inside. A roaring fire and all the old wood and items gives the interior a great smell. Not nasty, stinky and musky but just old and cool. You can hear the echos of the past in here and It's still easy to imagine what this joint must have been like two hundred years ago when the mill was still operational. All kinds of sundry and interesting items are for sale. Lots of strange and unique antiques, country furniture, various collectibles and things that defy classification. Of course the inventory is always changing and you never know what you will find. The folks that work there are knowledgeable and fun and we had great conversations about antiques, history and what it must have been like to work in one of these old mills. They seem to enjoy describing and discussion some of their more bizarre finds. I like old stuff and this place is filled with it. In fact the coolest old thing is the building itself. Just so much fun to slowly walk around and look at all the idiosyncratic features of this great building while hearing the fire and the sound of the Chepachet River. Not only a great place to find some cool and unique antiques and old stuff but a building where you can still feel the history and past dripping off the walls.

They have dates on most items and after a certain date the price goes down but the item may not be there. Lots of furniture, dishes, nicknacks etc. I bought a beautiful plate and a picture for my plant wall. I was left alone to look which I like. had a great experience here this weekend…read more my boyfriend had some old coins he wanted appraised (not necessarily ready yet to sell), and the owner of this shop gave us wonderful attention. he was very matter of fact, but also very fair. for instance, i was wearing a ring i was considering selling, and he literally turned me down, telling me i could get more for it selling it on my own- i appreciated his honesty! i think if you're looking for an honest opinion on the worth of your valuables/collectibles, this is a great place to come. i highly recommend it.
