Took a break and walk around ~ this place is large with two floors and different booths of acirates antiques from different sellers~ such a large variety I didn't know what I wanted to thought was very cool! Prices weren't too bad and seemed fair since some items seemed very antique and collectible like the Victoria hair pins and section! I can't say much about service since I didn't purchase anything since I was overwhelmed and a bit on a time crunch. Wish they had baskets we can carry around to pick up and go and pay at the counter. there's plenty of park outside and on nice days, plenty of stops on your drive over with shops, stores, and nature views~ read more

This store is massive! It's a pretty cool space. The majority of the booths are set up really nice and are easy to search for hidden treasure. I think the pieces are fairly priced. It's a great place to search for old record albums and comic books. The front of the store is mostly records! We were there for several hours. It was a lot of fun. read more

Large establishment, prices are slightly high. Would have purchased a couple of things had they even been $5 less. Staff turned out lights at least 15 minutes before closing after making an announcement. Understandable they want to go home but not the best impression to make. We found out there are no public restrooms they expect you to drive down the road and use the Dunkin Donuts. Dunkin must be thrilled with how rude and inconsiderate Stillwater is to offer up Dunkin's restrooms. Go to Mike's Estate in West Warwick instead they have 2 public restrooms. read more

I drove just shy of 100 miles to visit the Stillwater Antiques Center in Greenville, RI. I arrived and started walking around this very large retail space and realized I needed a bathroom to continue by search and asked where it was? Sorry, we haven't had a public restroom for years, I was told. "You can go to the Dunkin Donuts about a mile away. They have restrooms." To say I was surprised at this announcement would not be an understatement! Why would the owners of this store expect me to get back in my car and drive to a restroom at the Dunkin Donuts and then return to their store to spend my hard earned dollars is a mystery. They must have 10,000 square feet of space in this place and they can't keep a toilet and sink clean for their customers???? Talk about arrogance. I grew up in the antique business, my grandpa had a store, my dad had his own store it's literally all I knew growing up. I've seen just about every "oddity" and antique there is so nothing is "unusual" to me. This place is hit or miss for me. Being that I've been to countless shops, auctions,flea markets etc. All over the east coast I know the value of most things and stillwaters prices are just not it. Way too high on most things especially the "vintage" Barbies that aren't even in mint condition. The owner never wants to bargain at a reasonable price and that's just not the antique business. Everytime I go in there it's the same stock, well it's not selling for a reason. Fun to look around but I can find the same things on ebay at a better price. read more

What a find! My husband and I had been in the area one morning and decided to google antique shops near us, Stillwater did not disappoint, we hit the jack pot! Located inside and old mill building which comes with charm in itself. Dozens of different vendors and rooms. This place has something for everyone. At first glance it doesn't seem as big as it is, but once you get to exploring, you discover more and more! Freaking love this place! I could browse for hours in here if I could. There is so much to look at and awe at. I always come here to browse and most of the time I find myself getting something I was looking for unexpectedly, or something I find cool! The back is like a maze full of the past. Prices are fair for the most part. Some spots are very narrow and if parts of the store are overpopulated, you'll end up saying excuse me many many times. Not to mention awkwardly seeing the person you just saw two mins ago, a row over. Everything is labeled accordingly. Not looking for really looking for really rare things or really old items. Just whatever catches my eye. Got a couple things today, and I didn't have enough cash on me and I didn't meet the $10 min for cards. I used to come here when it was Greenville Antique Center years ago. I figured I would go and check it out again, big disappointment. It was the end of July and very hot out, there was no a/c as soon as you walk in. Two people were behind the counter, never got a hello when me and my family walked in. Walking through the booths, there were some booths with items that stated NOT FOR SALE (if that's the case, why are they there?) Alot of the booths had the same old stuff I saw years ago, and a lot of the booths just had items dumped everywhere. Years ago, you could go to the 2nd floor, now it's roped off with a SORRY WERE CLOSED sign and looks like a dumping ground. In the main area of the warehouse, the heat was really bad due to lack of a/c or fans and my family wanted to leave. I took a right that goes back to an exit that leads to the counter...normally that is the case, this time it was blocked (not good in case of a fire). I had to go to the restroom and was told by a staff member "sorry the restroom is closed" Wow, isn't that nice . When we were leaving, years ago there was a room you could go into before going to the counter. Couldn't get into the room cause stuff was everywhere in the room and behind the counter. We all said bye as we left, never got a response back from the people behind the counter. Will go somewhere else in the future where it's not a dump and the staff are nicer read more

I found this place on my map app from my phone. It said it was open. It was a little hidden but Found it! I thought, wow what a gem. But when I walked in the guy behind the counter, ask if you could help me. When I said I want to look around. He said that they are closed today. The parking lot was full of cars. Confusing. There's no sign that says closed. As a matter. Fact, there was a sign that said open. I looked again on the site and showed him where it says it's open today. He says today is for merchants/dealers. He was quite rude, not much of an apology for not having any kind of information saying what was going on. Just pretty much ran me out. As customers all we ask, is a little more clarity when we show up to try to give you money for the shit you're trying to sell. Put a sign outside telling us it's closed. Or post it online, telling us that it's closed or MAYBE try greeting us with a little more courtesy and apologizing that it's only a day set aside for the merchants/dealers. I may come back. Maybe... but if I do I hope it's better. There really is no excuse for a crotchety Receptionist of any sort if you're trying to sell things to people. read more

I literally took a trip here from Boston because an ad on Craigslist said they had a lot of Pyrex. I took my mom, who was enamored by all the "solid wood" furniture and more importantly the prices. Very reasonable prices and so many antiques. This is definitely a fun place to spend a couple hours in. I got a pair of Smokey quartz earrings ($18) a raffia hat ($20) and a Pyrex butterprint Cinderella bowl ($30) If I actually had a house instead of renting an apartment with 3 roommates I would have spent way more here. read more

A long time antique center that has been here for many many years, albeit under several owners. A nice assortment of collectibles and furniture. It is true that some of the booths haven't changed in over 20+ years but new dealers and merchandise come and go. A couple of problems are that there is little to no air circulation in many parts of the selling floor. They need fans not to cool but move the stagnant air. Various previous owners knew this and provided for it. But still a excellent place to wander as there is much to see. Most prices are reasonable. Worth a visit. read more

Their website says this place is called "Antiques Alley" now. There is quite a large quantity and variety of antique and vintage stuff here, but very little of interest to me personally. I was looking for a super specific genre of antique art and vintage books, so I wasn't surprised to find nothing. HOWEVER the staff here are intolerable with their near constant hovering. They are not trying to help you find anything, bc they never ask to do so. They just silently, constantly keep tabs on you. I think they believe they are being unobtrusive. They are not. They stalked me throughout the entire building, for the duration of my time inside. Maybe they have severe issues with theft, which is a great shame. But I will not agree be so blatantly treated like a potential culprit. When it was near closing time they made an announcment over their PA system that there were 15 minutes left. Not 5 minutes later I was approached by a staff member, one of those who had been following me around relentlessly without ever speaking to me. This time he spoke. He said something like, "so what do you think?" Basically "buy something or leave already." I left. I won't be going back, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to go here. This is a BIG place - cavernous. I arrived late in the day, maybe an hour before closing, and an hour wasn't really enough time to give Stillwater more than a quick run through. It was in the 90's outside, and the stone walls of this building just radiate the heat, so even with big fans going, it was damned hot in there. Prices were kind of touristy, but I saw some of what I would consider buys. Offerings ran the gamut from 20th Century collectibles (more of this type of thing) and to a lesser extent, 19th Century antiques. Like I said though, I felt a bit rushed, and when they announced closing time, I still had only seen about 85% at a brisk pace. As it stands, I didn't really find anything, and the things in my area of collecting seemed a bit higher than fairly priced. You may have a different budget, and different experience. Definitely a must stop, if only because of the size and scope of this antique center. I'll return, but maybe in the Fall when the temps moderate. read more

I like visiting a couple times a year to go through the records and see if there's any fun Pyrex. Can be very overwhelming and cluttered, and in the summer, it's hotter in the building than outside which makes it hard to really browse. read more

Figured I'd give this a try again. It's basically the same stuff as a few years ago, with the same booths and vendors. It's hard to say inflation with antiques but it seems as prices went up as well. There's a lot of "garbage" in the checkout area which used to be an open aisle and certain items aren't for sale although they blend in well with what "is" for sale in that area. The girl behind the counter is cool and happy which the same couldn't be said for the guy frantically running around trying to sort out the piles of clutter nearby. I used to love to come here and spend time looking through a booth with used CDs/DVDs. Last year, the store owner terminated the lease of the booth owner. I asked why and was told he doesn't like CDs/DVDs in the store. Subsequently, ALL the store's physical media was banished from the premises. I was so disgusted I have taken my business elsewhere after shopping there for six years. Not allowing people to sell used CDs/DVDs? Utterly absurd. Throwing the word antique in the name seems to compel their vendors to charge more than they should for items, hence why you will see a lot of items in antique purgatory hoping for an owner. A lot is locked up and there are a lot of signs stating not to take things out of the stalls, that an employee needs to do that, main issue is there is typically one employee, one check out line. Really big antique warehouse-- however VERY overwhelming with tons of vendors...so make sure you have time to walk around. They don't have a great parking area but you can find a spot... the place is really organized but a lot of stuff is locked up + by the time you find something you like its hard to remember it by the time you leave. They have an upstairs for furniture but not a lot up there. I stood in line for 15 minutes to buy one thing--- only one check out lane here folks. The people that work there are really really nice but they really really need another register! I'll probably go again-- but not that often. This is a fantastic place to wander around. Most things are a bit on the pricy side, but you can find some unique items and good deals. It is a mix though of real antiques and simply stuff from the 70's yanked out of the closet or attic. This store is huge. It would be more fair to call it a warehouse. I love that it's in an old factory building; that definitely adds to the charm! You never know what you'll find here. There are countless booths in this place filled with everything from furniture to books to vintage wedding dresses to jewelry. There aren't a whole lot of practical items like clothes and furniture. There's tons of old Playboys and Pyrex. There's plenty of parking, which is great because this place can get crowded on the weekends! It also happens to be very clear to other antique stores in the area, like The Find on 6. So you can make a day out of driving to Johnson and visit both! Maybe even stop by Cook & Dagger, which is also in the area, and get some brunch! Talk about a perfect weekend! read more

Hadn't had a Saturday off in so long my husband and I decided to take a day to relax and browse in Antique stores. First on our list was Stillwater Antiques. I can't express what an awesome time I had and how all the staff was so pleasant and helpful. The entire store was full or beautiful treasures and memorabilia. The jewelry is endless and the prices are very reasonable. My favorite gem, AnnMarie, was an angel opening every case with a smile . Absolutely gorgeous place. I have spent hours happily wandering here and never get tired of looking at the millions of curiosities: jars filled with nails, skeleton keys, ancient christening gowns, hundreds of boxes jammed full of old photos and postcards, beautiful glassware, rusted farm tools, vintage toys, stacks and stacks of books... you get the idea. The size alone warrants the 5 stars in my book. I found quite a few things i was interested in and saw a very eclectic mix of items all over. Everyone that I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. I didn't see any signs telling me to not take things out of stalls, I had a couple things in my hands and a man working there passed and offered to take them to the front for me, which I found helpful. After we paid we were sent off with a complementary tree ornament. I found some great old life magazines and old car magazines too. Prices were what I'd expect, some higher priced, some moderate and some very reasonable. You just have to know your prices, and know what you're willing to pay so you can actually get a deal. I look forward to returning. I enjoy a "one stop shop" where there are a multitude of dealers under one roof. I feel it makes my trip more worthwhile. Also keep in mind it's sometimes hit or miss, yes there were plenty of things I felt were not really worth it but thats bound to happen many other places as well.
