I have never been treated so rudely in my life me and another bus driver walked in about thirty minutes before closing time and the first thing out of the mans mouth is we are about to close. We told him we were just looking and i said I was interested in some pants and he says we are about to close. Now if this is how you treat your customers, no thank you. I am guessing that he has plenty of money and does not need the business. So if you are looking for a place to be treated poorly and rudely this is the place to go. I don't know who he thought we were but I promise you I can be as big of a jerk as he is. We are only in town for the night and thought we would check out some of the shops in town here. Because of recent events,I purchased a second firearm. The owner took his time & went through everything I needed to know . He made sure I was comfortable with the firearm I chose, stressed the need to familiarize myself with that particular firearm. He has a wide selection at very reasonable prices & does not disappoint. This is (I stress) the most knowledgeable gun store in Augusta. If you are only looking for the cheapest price in town, it may not be for you, but if you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and (brutally, at times) honest gun dealer to establish a long-term relationship with, then this is your place. This is not a big box store. Sit down with the guys, have a civil conversation, and realize that the owner of this store has forgotten more gun and knife knowledge than most big box gun counter employees combined. Steve will get you everything you need, and will not try to sell you a bunch of crap you DON'T need. As a Green Beret vet and a long-time police reservist, he will treat you with respect if you reciprocate. Horrible place, I went into Sidney's department store ready to buy or at least order a very particular pistol I have been wanting for several weeks. I went into the store to check prices and compare to the 5 others I've checked out in various places in town. To make a long story short, the owner seemed very agitated at me when I asked him to quote me a price on this pistol saying, "If I spend the time to check with my several vendors you need to be ready to buy that gun today". I stated that I need to know a price before I commit but this was unacceptable to him. It was almost as if I was bothering him to look up a price for me. I knew exactly what I wanted and I asked for nothing more. The place is a wreck, and this man seemed to think that I needed him to buy a gun. I left the store a sat in my truck for a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell just happened. The very next day I went to another fire Arm store a purchased the gun I wanted and another. This guy lost out on a lot of money. read more
