However, fees were never discussed prior to the exam. They had me sign that I received my prescriptions BEFORE I even saw the doctor. When I questioned this they said it was for insurance purposes. There was also a $39 fee for a "picture" of your eye that you had to sign for. Get this, the picture was mandatory but they only charged the $39 if you wanted the doctor to read it. Wait, What? Then they charged $90 for the contact FIT fee. When I debated the charges, they wouldn't give me my contact lens prescription! Yet they had me sign before the exam that I received it! The doctor and pre-exam staff were friendly and helpful, but the billing woman was not, and I felt pressured into their office procedure nonsense. I just wanted a simple eye exam.

The people here were great and did not show even an ounce of annoyance as I essentially tried on every single pair of frames even in the store -- even though that meant they would then have to sanitize each and every pair. Once I selected a pair and worked with an optician to place the order, we ran into a roadblock with my insurance, as another provider had already submitted a request for benefits authorization. Rather than telling me to leave and figure it out with my insurance, one of the opticians called my insurance directly and got the issue resolved while I waited. I was quoted 1-2 weeks for my new glasses to be ready, and to my surprise, I got a text the next morning that my glasses were ready! My glasses were fine when I picked them up, but later that night I noticed there was a very small crack in one of the lenses. I brought them in the next day and Flanders Family Eyecare replaced the lens free of charge. Again, I was quoted 1-2 weeks for the replacement, yet they were ready the next day. Such a quick turnaround time and a very wide selection of styles!

The exam was extremely thorough, and I loved the Optomap option instead of dilation; makes for a better drive home! The staff is incredibly friendly & helpful, and makes sure that your visit there is a happy and smooth one. I was recommended to go to Advanced Eyecare, and am very happy with my decision to go here. I also got glasses for the days that I don't wear contacts, and their selection is numerous! Lots to choose from. The optical department will make sure you get a pair that actually looks good on you...and I am a guy, so that is really not my forte! They also take the time to make sure that the glasses feel right, and are adjusted properly. My new contacts brand is also a bonus! The front desk receptionist, Debbie, did not acknowledge my father and I as we came through the door as she was texting on her cell phone. Office waiting room chairs were stained and ripped. I came with the intention of getting Lasik performed on my bad eye (the other was corrected with cataract surgery.) I am 26 years old with recent history of 6 eye surgeries for retinal detachments, retinal thinning, and cataracts. I assumed this practice would be qualified. I received two consults, first one was almost $250 which went well, and Dr. Lalin as well as Dr. Shah seemed optimistic that Lasik was the right choice. Let me mention I had technically two lasik appointments, and both times the technicians failed to realize I was scheduled for one eye only. Doesn't exactly make me feel confident in care. They scheduled me for a pre-op Lasik appointment, which was DIFFERENT than the consult, on a Thursday. Due to my eye conditions, without wearing a contact I am unable to see. One eye is extremely near sighted and one is extremely far sighted. I can't wear glasses due to the drastic difference of prescriptions, so I needed to take off work for 1 week to prepare. I walk in Thursday morning for pre-op and the woman at the desk demands $2000 for the surgery that was allegedly the next day. I was under the impression I was scheduled for a pre-op appointment, and no one had mentioned surgery, let alone up-front payment before the consult! The office manager, Tracy, was so kind and helped square everything away. Three hours later...I met with Dr. Shah who mentioned since they "forgot" to tell me about my surgery date, I needed to prepare again, and take off another week of work, since I couldn't wear a contact, for the surgery date. I received a call a few days later demanding payment again, despite being told that I could bring my care credit info the day of the surgery. I paid the $2000, despite feeling nervous for the surgery due to this facility being all over the place. Wednesday I received a call saying my surgery was 7:15 Friday - I needed to pick up the prescriptions they gave me. I paid out of pocket for these scripts. Thursday NIGHT I received ANOTHER call stating "the machine isn't working properly. We are going to reschedule your surgery." Two weeks I had taken off of work, my boyfriend took off work so he could drive me, $2250 gone, plus the cost of prescriptions, and nothing to show for it. They refunded the $2000, but I am still fighting for the $250 since I don't trust them to operate. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

First, I have to praise the two women working at the front desk. For a 7PM appointment (which is completely flexible for an office!), these two employees were as pleasant, well-spoken, and professional as could be. They were great in helping me arrange the appt and in answering a few questions earlier in the day, and they were even better in assisting with with sign in & new patient paperwork when I arrived. Other existing patients were there who were also enjoying conversation with them. Truly outstanding service for a medical office. Now onto the doctor - I am pretty sure it was Dr. Fabery I met with; I hope I have the right physician. Totally professional, relaxed, and informative. I felt like I was with an intelligent friend more than with a doctor. In just a few minutes I was examined, and a piece of debris was removed without any pain.
