I normally don't write reviews, but after years of disappointment, I feel it's important to share my experience. I was a loyal client of this med spa for nearly five years, hoping to see meaningful results with my skin. Unfortunately, that never happened. From the beginning, I noticed that recommendations felt more focused on selling the newest treatments or expensive products rather than truly understanding what my skin needed. I followed their advice consistently, investing thousands of dollars in treatments and high-end creams -- all used exactly as directed. The results were always temporary. My skin would feel nice for a few days after a treatment, but there was never any lasting improvement. Every time I expressed concern about the lack of results, I was told it could be due to hormones or some other issue, and then they'd suggest yet another cream or a different treatment -- repeating the same cycle. I trusted their expertise for years, assuming maybe they were right. I decided to try another med spa -- and the difference was night and day. The new place actually assessed my skin type thoroughly, suggested AFFORDABLE products that suit my skin from amazon and I started seeing real, consistent improvement. This made me realize that what I needed all along was a more personalized, thoughtful approach -- not a sales pitch. Looking back, I feel incredibly disappointed knowing how much time, money, and hope I invested for very little return. I found this place through Groupon and was going here regularly for waxing. Everything was wonderful until my esthetician quit. I signed up for the subscription service and was told they no longer performed waxes after I called to make an appointment. Then I was charged two months after i asked to cancel. I had credits that I was willing to use for another service but after being charged twice I asked for a refund. Customer service was trash since I wasn't called back and the kicker that really annoyed me- I finally was refunded BUTTTTTT they refunded another card they had on file and not the one they charged. Thankful for Groupon, because otherwise, we would not have come to this amazing spa. We purchased the facial + microdermabrasion Groupon and easily scheduled over the phone. They also have easy scheduling online on their website which is powered by the mind body app. The spa was very cozy and comfortable. The entrance / foyer area had the front desk and shelves of great medical grade products. (After my session, I brought a serum for discount because of joining the membership, and she gave me some samples to take home to see how it would react on my skin) We were led into a separate waiting room with comfortable couches, fruit waters, and a cute digital fireplace before being introduced to our specialists. Also, the bathroom is very clean and private! For my facial and microdermabrasion (in the photo, it's considered the "Exclusive" Package): Roxanne was my specialist and she did such thorough, delicate, and professional job addressing my questions and skincare concern areas, explaining each step of the face care process and products she was applying on my skin. There were no points of confusion or surprise during my session. A major bonus is that she gave a great massage on my shoulders, arms, hands, and head. Very well rounded and made the experience extra relaxing. This new location is so much bigger and nicer than the old one. After closing down both locations, 1 in Addison, 1 in Frisco right outside Stonebriar Mall, it's now all in one here. I have only gotten the microdermabrasion, but the service/quality/result all have been second to none that I'm going to keep spoiling myself and continue to come back here for the same service and more. Merril has been my aesthetician. From the moment you walk in, to when you leave, she would make sure you're well taken care of and walk you thru every step of the process, exactly what's being done and more than happy to answer any question you might have. My first time getting a microdermabrasion, I didn't know what to expect, except for the fact that it might get a little uncomfortable, since your skin will be exfoliated by tiny crystals being sprayed on your face to take away the dry, dead skin layer. Little did I know, there was so much more to it, and your face is not the only part being worked on. You start out by changing into their nice, thick, comfortable halter top robe. Then your hands take a bath in the warm wax and they stay in the heated glove bags until almost the very end. Once you lay down on the table, get ready for a short, relaxing shoulder massage just to warm you up for the main part. Your face then get cleaned up, extracted of any unwanted acne, massaged with the freaking delicious-yummy-smell enzyme. A nice warm towel is being used each time to clean your face off of any product being used. Once the microdermabrasion being started, the aesthetician will start out in a very small area and adjust as needed to your level of comfort. It's completely normal to feel a little pain and sharpness from it, but feel free to let your aesthetician know if it starts making you too uncomfortable. She would adjust it accordingly. The last part is my most favorite. I have fallen asleep every time at the end of it. That hasn't failed yet lol. After the microdermabrasion is done, your hands will be cleaned off of the wax. Your whole hands and arms will then received a nice rub down and massage. Who would have thought an arm and hand massage could be that relaxing. Before you leave, couple products will be introduced and suggested to you, but not once that I have felt obligated or pressured to purchase anything. I did get couple things however, but Merril has always been very courteous and nice. Definitely look into their membership program and sometime they do have offers on groupon too ;). read more

No wonder their turn over rate with employees is so high. The owner needs to spend time in studying products to ensure quality verses quantity. However, my second experience was disappointing. The facial I received wasn't up to par (although she was very nice), but the real kicker was the manager (or maybe owner?) being really weird. She made a fuss over some administrative mistake, saying that my certificate had expired a few days ago and I shouldn't have been allowed to come in (which I thought was very unprofessional to say to a client since I'm already here) and then she said I got more than I paid for, which I had no idea what she was talking about. I bought a groupon not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly receptionist. The location is small but you get the spa vibe as soon as you step in. You are taken to a waiting room where they offer flavored water. The lighting was perfect and the decor was on point. It was not long for me to be greeted by my esthetician. I purchased the microdermabrasion for my groupon. The facile was as relaxing and I received a thorough cleaning on my face. The only reason why my review is 4 out of 5 stars was because I don't feel i received much of a massage during my facial. I also bought a primer/sunscreen that I am not impressed with. I received two facials here by two aestheticians, and the quality of both the facials was really great, and the experience was very relaxing. The facials came with a complementary free hand treatment as well. The only thing I didn't like about this place is that they upsell products too much. The first time I went, the aesthetician talked me into buying an acne kit that had three full-sized products (about 150$). None of the products were useful for my skin though. I decided to stop going here for my facials because they push buying products too much, and they don't give free samples that you can test out before buying the full-sized products. Also, I searched up the brand of the products they sell, and I don't think it is an established brand--I couldn't find it anywhere, so it seems to have been created by the spa itself. read more

What an amazing experience i had this afternoon! Not only did i call this morning to make an appointment for hopefully this weekend or whenever the next available would be... but they were able to fit me in same-day because of a client no show! Well, thank you to that person for not showing up because i was booked today with Mindy and she was absolutely fabulous (pun intended )! From the warm facial robe, with mint to enjoy before the facial (such a nice touch!).. but the hand treatment with local made products, that made my hairdresser hands feel like silk again.. was so unexpected but appreciated! Wow! I am so impressed with this salon. I had a facial with Roxanne today and cannot say enough about her! She is not only a talented esthetician but took the time to understand my needs and recommend treatments that made my skin feel amazing. The Spa is in an unassuming office park, but once you walk in you know, you are going to have a great experience. The Spa is charming and warm. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and so accommodating. I was scheduled for a facial and microdermabrasion, but after talking through my skin condition, we decided on a less harsh chemical peel. Bought a Groupon after seeing the great reviews for this place. They were a little hard to get a hold of on the phone but just leave a message and they will call back promptly! The person who did my facial was Merril and she was very very sweet and did a wonderful job. She explained everything she was doing and was very patient taking care of my needs. I felt so safe and relaxed at every point during my facial and microdermoabrasion treatment. Afterwards, my skin feels really soft and finally free of all the gunk that was in there. Would definitely recommend this place and Merril though I'm sure all the technicians are great and well-trained. After using the Groupon ($49), they let you purchase the exact same package for $69 which is a great second visit deal (regular price would be $120). I also signed up for one of their many great membership options for only $65 a month. I'm excited to see how my skin improves over the next few months! read more

I bought a Groupon to try this place and it wasn't all that. I got a microdermabrasion and a facial which she didn't do the microdermabrasion for me and did a light peal and a facial instead. I came home and still had pumps on my nose and I just don't feel like my skin felt any different when I got in the car. It was however a relaxing experience. As with many other similar "deals," I figured I would get subpar service because I wasn't paying full price. Boy was I wrong! Merrill began my session with an awesome hand scrub and paraffin dip and then proceeded to put my hands in warmer gloves. So essentially, I had an hour hand treatment as well as my facial. The room was well maintained with a decent temperature and lighting. The products smell amazing and I felt like a queen! She took great pride in what she did and it was very apparent. I had some breakouts and she wasn't judgmental at all and gave me information about my skin and recommendations based on what she noticed. The one thing I liked about Merril is that she didn't come off as pushy when explaining the skin care products they offer. They have some amazing deals on facials and any other services and Merril explained everything to me very well and not pushing me to buy anything. This was my first time at Absolutely Fabulous Spa. The entire staff was very kind and the interior of the spa was beautifully decorated. I received a facial from Roxanne, which was fantastic! I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. My skin looked and felt wonderful. Roxanne was able to suggest some changes to my skincare routine to help meet my goals which was extremely helpful as someone who does not necessarily know what I need to do in order to achieve the completion I desire. The name says it all. Its seriously, absolutely fabulous! They offer so many different facial options that you literally want to try them all. Both estheticians are highly knowledgeable and stay up to date with the latest and greatest treatments available.They are also both so sweet and friendly. They make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I enjoy going in once a month for a facial that I usually let Amanda decide to do. She takes a good look at my skin and she knows exactly what to do. As always, my skin looks flawless after. I do have to comment on their new location. It is so relaxing and inviting. BUYER BEWARE OF FUTURE SERVICE CERTIFICATES. I received a gift certificate to visit Absolutely Fabulous Spa (Frisco) some time ago. My experience was unremarkable really, but the young lady was nice and strongly pushing the sale of a certificate to return for a future service. I try to support small business so I agreed to purchase one. Unfortunately, life got in the way of my return and my one year to return expired. Typically there is at least the dollar value of your certificate available to some degree but NO. Not here. I was essentially told that my cash expired ($70). What a concept!!! read more

My first facial here was with Amanda and that was great. I got the 20% off for the second facial and unfortunately Amanda wasn't here. I was 15 mins late to my 1 hr 12:15 appnt for facial with microderm radio so they skipped consultation and changing to save time..But instead of doing a facial first she straightaway did a 30 min express microderm and said we were done by 1:00. I can understand an express version of microderm but she skipped a whole facial and no massage with the reason that she has to prepare for the next client. My appointment was till 1:15.. how can they justify finishing 15 mins earlier for a 1 hr service. Unless the owner Amanda comes back, I don't think the substitutes can be relied upon. The facial was fine...but prepare for the upsell. I don't like when places push products or services beyond what I came for. They were very pushy and it made me uncomfortable. If someone asks for something, great, but pushing things someone may not want, need, or can afford is not okay in my opinion.
