The disappointment came with the Salmon Benedict. Visually, the dish was excellent and arrived looking like a menu-photo winner. However, the flavor never matched the presentation. The salmon lacked freshness and delivered very little taste overall. The combination of ciabatta bread and red onions also failed to elevate the dish. For a dish with so much promise, it was surprisingly bland and desperately needed a trip to "flavor town." While the Salmon Benedict missed the mark, the overall experience remained positive thanks to excellent service and the strong quality of everything else surrounding the meal. We had their normal menu, their feast and their weekly and daily specials. So many things looked good, so we took our time going over the menu. We ordered half a dozen raw oysters, and these were massive. They serve them with lemons and Sriracha. Excellent combination. 10 out of 10 would order again. The gal went with flounder fillets and crawfish etouffee over rice. The flounder was fried perfectly. The etouffee was fantastic. I had the redfish with crawfish etouffee and I loved my redfish and the etouffee was fantastic on my dish as well. 10 out of 10 would order the redfish again, same with the flounder. Overall this is a fantastic meal. We had a bill of $46 for two big plates and half a dozen oysters. Not a bad deal. They do have some pretty good deals on it. Some of their other specials and their larger boils and feast. And while we were there they also had 1199 lb crawfish rate. We'll have to come back for the Crawfish and see how they do. There was a smell that was concerning throughout the restaurant. The odor was not pleasing or appealing. The vinyl covering on the seating bench that lined that back wall was poorly maintained with cracks and tears along it. The table we sat at seemed sticky as well. The floor in the bathroom was sticky. It was worrisome enough that we didn't stay. If you cannot present your restaurant well when someone walks in, it becomes concerning that the food will lack the same degree of a lack of attention. The menus were clean and the water glasses looked clean when they brought them out. I certainly would like to support this restaurant but will not do so until new reports come around to show the ownership has adequTately addressed these concerns.
