Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. Tamara, my stylist was very professional and took good care of me. Took about 6 inches off my hair per my request. My first reaction was too much hair product because my hair felt sticky and I didn't like the way my hair was styled. I normally put a beach wave using a flat iron and light hairspray. I came home brushed out the product and restyled. Overall, the cut isn't bad and the service was professional.

I'm so glad my Aunt referred me here! Kim did an amazing job on my hair and even talked me through the whole process so I knew exactly what was going to happen. Even though my appointment took three hours to complete, she took her time and was extremely patient while doing my hair, making sure it came out as beautiful as she could. Kim did a great job on my hair today. It was my first time booking with her. I wanted a makeover going from a dark brown to a light strawberry blond. She aced it. The color and haircut came out stunning. I have been looking for a hairdresser who knows what he is doing for a while (since I moved in to Phx from Europe 3 years ago) and I found this jewel of a hairdresser after reading the reviews on yelp. I would give way more than 5 stars to Kim. She is not only amazing at what she does but you can feel her genuine passion for her work. I had been growing my hair out for about 4 years when I decided I wanted something different. I did not even hesitate to ask her if she would cut 10 1/2 inches so I could donate my locks. She made me feel at ease the whole time even though I was super nervous. She's very good at getting to know her clients & is just a beautiful & genuine person inside & out. I found Sienna Salon after a bad experience somewhere else. She was honest about how much I was being overcharged, how the previous woman didn't match my color for the extensions I purchased. Sienna salon, gave me the cut I had been wanting for years. She was kind, informative and attentive. Now when I showed up, I showed the hairstylist the video of the hair color that I wanted and explained to her that I understand that my hair won't look exactly like the video due to the girl having a shorter haircut , but I did say that I did want the raccoon tail. One side of the blonde is more gold than the other and she told me that I have to come back at the END of the service. As you can see it it's just a simple two tone hairstyle. Not to mention at the end of the service she did not blow out my hair but instead tried to style it curly because that's my natural hair, but it ended up looking really bad. I'm not sure how else I could've communicated to get the results I wanted. Yes, I should have told her that I wanted my hair to be blown out, but by this time I just wanted to leave. I did schedule an appointment to get the blonde piece in the front fixed but at this point, I think I'm gonna cancel and move on. The hair color itself is not bad whatsoever and I think she did great on the haircut! Unfortunately, the color is not what I asked for. Looking back the sectioning of the blonde isn't great either. One side of my hair has 2x more blonde than the other.This overall felt rushed. Not sure what I can do myself to fix my hair but I don't think I will be going back here for a color service for a long time and if I do it won't be with that stylist. EDIT: the response to this is ridiculous. Did you want me to say to the hairstylist "No, I'm not comfortable with you doing my hair because you have carpal tunnel" Why would I have a problem with that?! A poor job shouldn't be excused just because I said it was ok for her to do my hair even though she was having a flare up. It's not up to me to gauge if she was in proper condition to do my hair. I'm confused how that's falling on me. She could've easily canceled the hair appointment and all of this could've been avoided. Besides the blonde piece in the front that was gold, which I understood, she still did not follow what I asked. For $314 not including tip it would've been nice to have my hair done right. No offense to her, but why would you guys think I would trust her to fix it coming back a second time. For her to rush it again? Should I ask her if she's having a flare up and if she's going to be ok to do my hair? No thank you.
