Dr matthews called me 2 mins later to argue with me and tell me that the nurse doesn't have her degree speaking of the school nurse as if her degree meant nothing. Then proceeded to tell me that i had no right to tell Her she gave the wrong immunizations. She was so unprofessional and I never experienced that with anyone. For her to hold her degree so high surprised she would speak to anyone in that manner. I only went to her because she was the closest doctor to me. But this on top of her wait time isn't worth it.

My wife and I used Gaia Midwives for our first child and we could not be happier. My wife has…read morealways wanted to have a homebirth, but Gaia offered so much more than that. The level of care and attention to every aspect of pregnancy was so much more than expected. Being used to being rushed in and out of doctor's appointments at a regular office, I was shocked by how Gaia took their time in our appointments and made us feel heard, cared for, and prepared for the birth of our child. As a husband, I was nervous for a homebirth and especially apprehensive about what I would do. However, by the time my wife was full term, I felt so prepared because of the conversations we had with Gaia and the way they prepared us. My wife was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and was GBS positive, but Gaia did not make us feel nervous or anxious about anything. They helped my wife with diet and lifestyle changes to manage the GD and prepared us with the information we needed incase the GBS diagnosis came into play during birth. My wife's labor was over 48 hours and almost every midwife visited us as some point during that period. Again, each interaction with the midwives was relaxed and calming helping my wife stay in a good head space and do what she needed to do to bring our baby boy into the world. Their postpartum care was just as thorough and supportive. We will definitely be using Gaia for our future children. Thank you Colleen, Rachel, Laure, Ashley, Bernadette and all of the other staff at Gaia!

Gaia made sure that with every decision there was to make we were given information and research so we could make an informed decision for our family. They even supported me throughout the later half of my pregnancy when I found out I had gestational diabetes. Laure specifically helped me troubleshoot ways to manage my GD and I am incredibly grateful for the extra support from her/Gaia. They truly went the extra mile! For my birth, I ended up having a prolonged labor - I know without a shadow of a doubt that if I had chosen a different provider I would have been rushed to make other decisions and would have had a very different experience. Gaia was so patient with me, empowered me, and supported me every step of the way. I delivered a beautiful baby boy at home with Colleen in attendance! I said not regularly just once in blue moon. He recommended a mamo. So on my exit I received a referral and once I read it at home, it was coded for Migraines. Called and fixed issue. Now I get a bill for a co pay for my physical that there is no co pay for and they tell me it's for a alcohol consult. All the doctor did was ask me a question, I think the medical coder needs to go back to school.

This is my second time delivering with Dr. Kohan (out of three children)…read more My first baby I delivered with a different office and doctor- they were rated well and well known however I DID NOT like them, hence the change to Dr.Kohan. My first experience with Dr. Kohan (baby number two) was a fairly smooth process- I was a little unsure about the doctor himself mainly because I felt every concern I had was responded with "it's the hormones" and that didn't sit well with me- YET I stuck it out for a few reasons.. the first reason was because the staff was SUPER friendly. The know you by name, and if they don't remember your name they remember your face and a little bit of your story before going into your file. They are easy to talk to and never gave me any issues. Any time I had a question about billing they helped me figure it out, address it, explain it, or correct it if wrong (which only happened once) For only have one doctor (dr kohan) they run extremely well.. their office is typically print with scheduling and times- the worst I've waited is 30 minutes a few times- and that's not a 30 min wait in the waiting room and then additional time in the office itself - I'm talking a total wait time of 30 mins off of my appointment. (Granted some days may be better or worse but I'm quite happy with the time) The office is very clean and they have comfortable chairs (which is a plus when your pregnant) The sonogram room is small- but I love that I can watch what the sonogram tech is doing while I'm relaxing in the chair- NOW for my second experience with Dr. Kohan, (current pregnancy and baby number three) he has been amazing- all issue have been address before I could even ask him- and if I had a question that slipped in before he could get to it his responses have been through and not simple like it's been in the past- I feel this time around I'm Beyond please all around- with the doctor AND the office. Although I haven't delivered with doctor kohan yet this time, I have delivered with him in the past. I really don't have an opinion on that because I was in a lot of pain and to me it was horrible- but my baby came out safely and he did a very good job (the best he could given my pain level) I would absolutely recommend him-

It is very easy to get an appointment with him and considering he is a one doctor practice and a ob doctor, waiting times have never been a problem. Billing problems which are usually caused by the lab or insurance company are resolved despite the delay of the companies causing the problem. Dr Kohan listens and explains thoroughly.
