They are nothing short of rude. The final straw for me was last month, I'm sitting in the waiting room and a couple nurses are behind the desk, talking very loudly. Everyone in the waiting room can hear them with ease. They begin saying horrific things like, "I hate doing the old ladies..like I want to look at your old gross vag***??!" I was absolutely appalled. It was so sad to see numerous older women in the waiting room cross their legs and look down in shame, obviously embarrassed now. Usually the front desk isn't enough to taint my opinion so much, but these ladies make me dread going there. Please, go ANYWHERE else.

Even over time they never got any better. It always felt like she never genuinely cared and just tried to see me as quickly as she possibly could. She would constantly talk to me in a very conceded, condescending manner, was very cold, and made me feel dumb for expressing my concerns or asking any questions. She would also roll her eyes whenever I experienced pain during my exams... I am now 21 years old and have finally gotten an answer for the issues I had been having (and expressed to her) ever since I was 15/16; I was recently diagnosed with stage 2/3 Endometriosis and had my laprasopic surgery about a month ago. My Endo symptoms severely started around 15 years old, and whenever I would express my concerns regarding them to Dr. Tuchman she would gaslight me, tell me "you're fine it's just your period", "everyone has bad period pain", "there's not much else I can do", "take tylonel", and just didn't seem to care about getting to the bottom of my serve pain at such a young age. I will NEVER forget this one particular appointment where she was judging me and even started to lecture me in front of a nurse in training for having marks on my chest, telling me that "whoever did this to you doesn't love you. this isn't love". Please keep in mind I was 17 years old. It makes me sad to think that I could have been saved of years of pain (and fearing the gynecologist) if a doctor believed me and took my symptoms with as much seriousness as I did. We also always used to have multiple issues with the insurance, waiting extremelyyy long to be seen, and the girls at the front desk were not the friendliest. She honestly just totally ruined going to the gyno for me at such a young age. I was already nervous enough with it being my first time. When I tried going to different doctors I was genuinely so scared- and quickly realized that it should be a comfortable and friendly experience, where no questions are dumb and I can speak up about pain. I have finally found and been with an amazing gynecologist who takes her time with me during my exams (40 mins minimum), makes me feel extremely comfortable, assures me that there's no such thing as "dumb questions", and takes the time to talk with me; she is so sweet and personable and genuinely caring! I wish I could go back in time to 16 year old me and never step foot inside this office and find a doctor who would have taken my pain seriously and just be nice.

As a black professional woman working in a similar industry as her, I thought it was nice to have a black woman gynecologist. I quickly learned - credentials and professionalism shall come first. To be clear, she is irresponsible, lacks time management capacity and leadership qualities to be a practitioner. The situation that spurred me to cut ties with her and her establishment was - I had an urgent appointment set for 12:00 pm. I arrived at 11:45 am to fill out any necessary papers - which turned out, I only had to update my address. I didn't see Lockhart until 2:00 pm! Yes, you read that correctly. What ticked me off most is that I had a business meeting in Manhattan scheduled for 3:30 pm. I made her receptionists aware of this as I entered the 1 hour wait time. When I waited for her to come to the room, I could hear her giggling with co-workers. She exhibits no sense of urgency, tenacity or real passion for her job. She's too lax and disconnected from such a vital profession that deals with womb health. When I told her my dismay for being seen so late all she could say is - "I apologize" in her unenthusiastic voice. Her and her receptionist then tried to run me through the ringer to get an unnecessary sonogram. Purposely misdiagnosing me so that I can come in for an appointment that AGAIN was not necessary. As patients, we are allowed to advocate for ourselves and remember we do indeed understand our bodies deeply. I knew exactly what needed assistance in my case. When I told the receptionist 2 weeks before the initial appointment, I emphasized I needed medication sooner rather than later. They provide poor customer service at this establishment. I was able to be serviced and provided with medication at another gynecologist within 3 days of seeking this person out. Please save your time, money and energy.
