The store mainly has fishing supplies for the nearby ponds to catch trout, bluegill, and bass. There is a small selection for water sports, goggles, snow gear, and swim wear. Yes it's small , but that's the charm and how logistics works when out so far from a local big box store. I've bought fishing licenses here which was not an issue for me. They are able to take debit card with a small fee. Pay with cash and you can avoid fee - just like numerous small business impacted by cc fees from the cc companies. Also picked up a custom Ebbetts Pass sun shirt which honestly is badasś. Support local business there and around town!

They have some great ones! In fact some of our favorite records as of late - we've picked up here. Clint's Trophy Mart is a bit of a maze to explore, but if you have the time - it's worth taking it - to check out their old magazines, antiques, vintage army jackets, quirky shirts, jewelry etc. The owner gets many of the items from estate sales. My favorite aspect of Clint's Trophy Mart - is that it's been around for 40 yrs - and 20 yrs in this specific location. I always appreciate true local spots where you never know what you're going to find - and Clint's is definitely that kind of spot. Trust.

You can be first in line when the lifts open! There were several families there, but service was fast and efficient, and we were on our way in no time. The equipment was in decent shape. They have full Rossi rental packages. The boots were comfortable if not a little basic. The skis were in good condition. Everything looked fairly new. The poles were a little cheap, but who cares--they're just sticks right? We also got a demo package. Nicer Rossi boots plus Atomic skis. The previous week I tried the premium Rossi skis somewhere else, but these Atomics were hot. After I returned them, he offered to sell me a new pair that were on sale. Not this time, but I was tempted. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, without being overbearing or know it all. The were fast too. They sped us through our paperwork, we paid up front, and returned our stuff by 5:30 day of. Great experience overall!

I think her name was Lindy (sorry if I got it wrong). She brought out some extra t-shirts for my friend to look at. My friend ended up purchasing a rose colored one. It was a very pretty shade. There were some adult humor shirts too! I will keep it PG and not share what some of the shirts said. But they cracked me up! Very funny! They had a lot of cute items at the gift shop. I'm glad we stopped in. I wish I would have brought my purse. I would have purchased a few items myself. For example, the Pinecrest t-shirt made from license plates. Super cute! The shirts were not too expensive, I think she paid around $22.00 for a plus sized shirt. Not bad, in my opinion. Distance wise, it is a short walk from the lake, and close to the art museum. If you take the trail it is a little longer than cutting across the parking lot. We followed the trail on the way in. Then, we were in a hurry to get back, so we chose to cut across! I asked a simple question about what he recommended for fishing in the lake, and instead of helping me, he mumbled "f***ing idiot" under his breath. He didn't yell it at me, but I heard exactly what he said, and I don't appreciate being spoken about that way over a simple question. He was pointing toward the fishing bait in front of me, but with an entire wall full of different products, I couldn't tell which ones he was referring to. It's disappointing to be treated this way, especially when I've been coming here for years. Experiences like this also make me question whether there is a broader pattern of disrespectful or potentially discriminatory treatment at places around Strawberry and some of the smaller local businesses. I can't say for certain what motivated his behavior, but it left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I've spent thousands of dollars supporting businesses throughout this community over the years, and I've always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, experiences like this make me reconsider where I choose to spend my time and money. Customers deserve basic courtesy and respect, even when they're simply asking for a recommendation.
