So far Mike has been extremely communicative throughout the process of fixing my broken pool/spa heater. The project isn't complete yet however I would like to leave a review based on his communication and knowledge thus far. Mike came out on a Saturday and ran a diagnostic test (yes, there is a fee but every co charges one) and provided me with the possible options we had. He told me he would get back to me by Monday if he found the part he thinks may be the issue. Mike reached out to me on Monday as promised and told me he found the control board. He also provided me with the price of the total repair for this (thank you!). We have another appointment scheduled and I'm keeping my fingers crossed the new control board will fix the problem. Overall: I'm impressed with Mike's professionalism, his knowledge, and his honesty. He showed up on time as promised! He's efficient and overall nice guy!! Fast forward to today, I reached out because some guy came to service our pool (only knew because I'm home with a sick kid). The owner called me and said we'd been receiving service the whole time (news to us) and he'd like to start over. Then he made it clear he only meets clients before 3 pm through the week, and that it seemed like this wouldn't work. With all of the issues created by lack of communication on the businesses part, all we wanted was to meet face to face for a few minutes to set things up right. At that point, it was clear he didn't want our business. I'm shocked by all of this because the company gets great reviews, but they definitely aren't hurting for clients and their customer service is lackluster at best. We felt like just a number on a page from day 1. Definitely don't recommend this company. It's expensive compared to others and not worth the money based on what we experienced. We ended up having to do all kinds of service and troubleshooting in our own because the tech wasn't doing their job apparently anyways.

They couldn't figure it out and eventually gave up, telling me they didn't stock the part and that I should try ordering it online. I then found Benchmark Pool Supply online and went to their store at 3017 W. Bullard Ave in Fresno. The sales rep immediately identified the part, but they didn't have it in stock. Instead of sending me away, he called Bryan at their other store at 811 Barstow in Clovis. They FaceTimed and discussed the issue, and Bryan confirmed he had the complete valve assembly at a very reasonable price. I had my pool equipment fixed within 5 minutes. It really makes a tremendous difference who you work with--saving time, money, and gas. They were very informative, gave me unbiased & truthful information so that I could decide what was the best for our use!
