This is the best preschool hands down! My daughter transferred here about a year ago from another preschool in the OC, and she loves it here! The coordinators and instructors are friendly and they develop excellent curriculum for the kids. They provide monthly calendars so parents know what their child will be learning in their class. Ms. Claudia and Ms. Leslie are amazing teachers and my daughter has learned so much in the short time she's been at Sierra Preschool! If I can recommend any preschool/after school care it would be this one. My son started here about a year ago & I can honestly say that I love & appreciate this school & its teachers. They have not only been so helpful with potty training but I've noticed such an amazing improvement in my son's vocabulary & learning skills since he started here. This is an excellent daycare. I have my 3 kids that attend; 1 school age and 2 pre-school. They look forward to going, learning and playing with the other children. They have even made friends that we meet for playdates outside of school. The teachers are very involved and make the children feel welcomed. The daycare is affordable compared to others in the area. They have many activities and do cute projects for each holiday. They are also helpful in potty training which is big for me. I highly recommend this pre-school to anyone considering it. read more

Where to begin?! We have been enrolled at Sierra Preschool for about 4 years. All of our children have gone to Sierra and they're awesome! They give each child attention and love. They work with you on challenging situations as long as you're willing to work with them (one of our children has ODD). The staff is amazing. Edited: My son attended to this school about two years ago and just added my experience from a couple of years ago. I also spoke with Nicole and she was very kind and we had a great talk. I understand there's new staff so this may not be the case today. Thanks for hearing me out. This is just a heads up to a lot of other parents. If your child is not related or in some way "known" to the the teachers or staff then they will not be getting great care. I had my son at this facility for at least a year and I understand separation anxiety but also children know when they are not being treated fairly not sure if it was by the staff or other kids but regardless he would cry each and every time I left him here. There was at least twice I picked him up and his shoes were on the wrong feet. Also parents when looking up schools or daycares please check the community care licensing website. They give you details of there's been any violations or complaints at the facility. read more

My experience with Sierra Preschool began 6 years ago when my oldest turned 2 and was old enough to start going to preschool- this was the only place that didn't have a weird smell, was colorful and clean, and offered reasonable pricing. Since then, all 3 of my children have attended!! The staff is so friendly, kind, and incredibly patient. There is no better feeling than knowing my kids are safe, happy, learning, and having fun! They bring home cute projects, rave about the delicious foods and snacks, and are always excited on the days they get to go to preschool. The teachers and staff are transparent and communicate very well, but are always readily available and helpful if ever I have any concerns. My daughter came home reciting small sentences and counting in Spanish! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sierra Preschool, even after all these years. Where to start. I love this preschool. This place is affordable and wonderful. I have been taking my daughter here since she was in the two's with Ms. Jessie and Ms. Kristine. They were so good with my daughter, they did a lot of fun activities with the kids. They potty trained my daughter. My daughter potty trained late, she stayed in the two's for a while before she moved up. My daughter moved to Ms. Melissa class and she loved it in that class. They always did fun things and she learned a lot from her. My daughter is now in Ms. Claudia's class. She is a nice teacher. The directors Ms, Marlie and Ms. Veronica are so wonderful, they are always very helpful and sweet to my kids. Every time my daughter looses her jacket, they always go out of their way to help find it. I would highly recommend this school if you are looking for a school that treats your kids good and a school where your child will learn so much from. read more

My 4 year old son has attended Sierra Preschool since July 2022. This school is great, he has advanced so much with his reading and is doing so well with his sight words. The prices are affordable and the school is in a great location. My son is very comfortable with his teachers and peers. He loves to learn and being able to socialize with other kids on a daily basis. My son has a hard time transitioning to new schools and Sierra Preschool has always been very patient with my son, he loves attending Sierra Preschool. Sierra Preschool always has fun things happening for the kids during holiday season and making sure the kids are not only learning but also having fun while they are in the care of Sierra Preschool. I have a love-hate relationship with this school. Ms. Michelle the morning person in the office is rude and lazy. I almost always see her glued to her phone and only greets the parents that she likes. The other lady that works in the office with curly hair never seems to know anything and will always say "let me ask Ms. Marlie" or "I'm not sure" and then there is never any follow-through. Ms. Marlie is the worst of them all, she doesn't address any situation directly. She always seems to be lost and has no idea about anything going on in the school. She talks at you really fast but never resolves anything. There is definitely a lack of communication and manners with the management. Last Friday there was an incident with my child and nobody answered me about why or how it happened. Almost a week later, I have yet to hear why my child came home with marks. This situation really bothered me especially because this is not the first time something like this has happened. I went to the Department of social services to look up there school violations (https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/ licenses are 334818113 and 334818112). I suggest everyone look at this before enrolling their student here. I am definitely looking for another center. The difficult part is leaving the teachers because the ones my child has had are amazing with the children. As well as most of the morning staff. My child loves his teachers and raves about the activities they do in the morning. In the afternoon the school looks like chaos and students bounce around classes very often. They have the older and younger kids mixed together. Way before 5: 30p.m. which is the time Ms. Marlie says they blend. The teachers in the afternoon don't seem to care for the children. read more

I am a first time mommy and this will be the first time I am separating my son from family day care to an actually child care center. I would not recommend this place. My tour was, I walked in and I walked out. The rep walked me to the back went over things quickly, showed me outside then led me back to the front to leave. I have been on a lot of tours and this was the most unfriendly to the point were my son wasn't even allowed to roam. Mind you I drove from la county to the inland empire for a 2 minute tour. After an hour drive! Ridiculous. Waste of time and my son could've just relaxed at home. I should've read the bad reviews first. Lesson learned. read more

I worked there for almost 2 years and my advice is to keep looking. The school is in serious need of more than a few major repairs, including (but not limited to) the toilets used by the preschool children. There are a total of 5 small, child-size toilets and one NEVER worked during the course of my employment, and another one broke about a year into my employment and was never repaired. So that left 3 working toilets for up to 12 small children (with small, infection-prone bladders) to wait their turn to use 1 of the 3 working toilets. Overflowed toilets left a mess on the tile floor that was rarely mopped up by the teachers, as they would frequently claim "not my job". Nails were constantly falling from the toy shelves that divided the rooms. I can name about 3-4 times one of the children in my classroom would bring a 1-2 inch nail to me and tell me they found it by the blocks or cubbies. If you removed the buckets (aka: cubbies) from the shelves, you could see nails sticking out that were used to secure bulletin boards on the opposite side. I thank God none of the younger children never found one or (Heaven forbid) put one in their mouth. The staff may seem friendly and accommodating, but unless you are part of their "Inner Circle", your child will not be given any special treatment. I once had a child in my class that became violent, not just towards me, but also towards the other children. Because the director had known the parent for a long time, it took nearly 2 months to dis-enroll the child, even though the violence was escalating daily and the child had broken several pieces of class furniture and would attack other children at the slightest provocation. It's really sad because this school has a lot of potential. read more

I first enrolled my son at Sierra Preschool when he was 2 years old (2011/2012) and have been referring my friends ever since. The building has its own little parking lot and garden which is really cute. The entry way is gated to keep the little ones out of the parking area, and there is awesome camera and door security. If your little one is a Hudini, they will be in good hands. When you go in, you are greeted by Miss Christi - the director - or one of the other fabulous teachers. Then, there is a short gate to the 5 "classes." The indoor layout is open, so it can get a little louder than closed rooms, but it is so much more inviting and the kids really connect with one another that way. Plus, the younger ones get to see the older kids role model good behavior (yay!). They have a nice outdoor play area also, and an indoor stage where the kids get to showcase their seasonal performances. While in their preschool program, my son was potty trained (practically right away), learned to speak better (complete thoughts), read and write (by the age of 3), and started his math journey (he is now a numbers wiz). They really set the kids up for academic and social success through play, social interaction, and really cute arts and crafts. My son started Kindergarten this past school year, so he no longer attended Sierra Preschool, but I enrolled him right away once summer came around and their summer program was in session. Miss Christi, Miss Michelle, Miss Jessica, Miss Carol, and other familiar faces are still there through the years and my son really enjoys all of the fun activities and events they have planned. I wish his school was in their zone for after school program because I would definitely send him here. The biggest highlights on paper for me are that their hours of availability are 6:00am-6:30pm (full-time/part-time available); they serve breakfast, lunch, and snack (yipee! because I can never get out the door on time in the mornings); and they have pick-up available. Sierra Preschool & After School will always be my number one so long as I am in the Riverside area. P.S. If your kids are older and don't like the word "Preschool," call it "Sierra Summer Program" or "Sierra After School Program." Works like a charm for my 6-year-old "big kid." ;) read more

My granddaughter has been attending this school for 3 years. She has breakfast, lunch and snack there. She also takes a nap. she is currently in PreK. I am amazed at what she is taught. My kids have been attending Sierra Preschool for a year now and they absolutely love it! I was really nervous when I decided to go back to work and had to find child care for my kids. But Sierra has been amazing to my kids. My daughter is now 4 1/2 and can write full sentences. My son who just started kindergarten is great with Math and can read small sentences. They couldn't do any of that when they started going here. And they take great care of the facility. It is always clean and well maintained.
