My husband and I joined about 3 weeks. We have done Crossfit before and were anxious to get back…read moreinto it after moving. After carefully reading all of the reviews of the Crossfits in Lodi and visiting Crossfit Lodi we decided that this would be the best fit for us. The class schedule was convenient and had plenty of times we could come without changing up our schedule. The pricing was right and I like that they have options for different membership types so everyone can find one that fits their budget and schedule. (Yes, it is more than your typical gym membership but it will kick your butt in gear in a short period of time and you're basically getting personal training at every workout which makes Crossfit a steal! ) They ask that you do 4 fundamental classes if you have never done Crossfit before which I think is great, you get one on one attention to teach you the basic lifts to make sure you don't injure yourself. We did 2 fundamental classes just to brush up on the lifts. Our first session was with Rose and she was such a sweetheart. Our second session was with the owner, Jamie, who is awesome was well. I felt confident being in both of their hands. Everyone at the gym (owner, coaches and members) are all so nice and very welcoming. There are members of every shape and color so if you're hesitant to give Crossfit a try because you're intimidated, don't be, everyone is welcoming. I love that this is a small gym so there aren't people fighting over equipment, its not too crowded and you continue to get one on one attention throughout your workouts. I love the atmosphere and whether you're the first to finish or the last everyone encourages you and cheers you on. You don't feel like you're competing with others at Crossfit, the focus is on competing with yourself and setting your own personal records. I have found that since I began doing Crossfit I am much more positive with myself, the little voice in my head no longer says "You cant keep going" to "You can do this, keep going!" I look forward to my future workouts at Crossfit Lodi.

Not only that but they have helped me see past my own personal mental barriers to do things I never thought possible. I feel great and am on my way to looking great! Not only are the trainers and owners stellar, but the members are as well! Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging regardless of your fitness level. To say I love the place would be an understatement.

I want to start of with how I actually really liked the crossfit workouts. The coaches are…read moremotivating and very accommodating. However, it has been a rough few months for me and I haven't been able to go lately. I decided to cancel my membership with the hopes of returning once everything settles down. When I messaged the owner Gabe, I was being honest about why I had to cancel even if it's my right to keep my personal issues to myself. Seeing as I am the one paying, I feel like it's up to me to decide whether I want to terminate the service or not. Instead of respecting my decision to leave, I was met with passive aggressive behavior as seen in the screenshot below. Before committing to this, just take into consideration that you might be met with the same attitude when you want to terminate your membership.

Today was my trial workout with one of the trainers, Sarah, and 3 regular clients. I went in with…read morethe normal "first day of school-like" jitters: anxious, nervous, excited and scared all rolled up into one. Sarah was really friendly, and inviting so It kinda took some edge off. She made sure to introduce me to the regulars which also helped me feel welcomed. This is a different type of clientele from some of the stkn, In-shape/24 hr fitness, $30-$40 a month paying customers. I firmly believe you get what you pay for and alot of times you see women walking around with makeup, earrings, and revealing workout clothes. Men are in groups gawking at most of the time. I get unmotivated by these distractions and want a more outlined, intense workout with other people who want the same. The 3 regulars I met tonight were just that type: friendly, motivating me while i was working out and congratulating me After. Ok sounds corny to some but to me that's camaraderie (must be my military background kicking in...but I like that stuff!). The workout: an hr of constant cross-training type stuff: sprints, rope climbing, sit ups, jumping on boxes off and on, jump ropes, rowing, etc. I'm sure all of these have names but im so tired I can't remember. It ain't easy let me tell ya, but I know it's going to be fulfilling. I'm thinking 3-4 days a week and throw in some in-shape days. My trainer today pushed me to finish but wasn't overly pushy. She knew when I looked like I was seriously pooped and needed to stop. For my military brothers and sisters, I was told they have a military discount (Woohoo I find out tomorrow). Overall First Impression: 5 stars Trial day workout routine: 5 stars Staff (only met one so far): 5 stars for her Price: ooooh find out tomorrow Try it out...can't hurt to see what they can offer you!

Easily the best facility and trainers in all of Stockton and Lodi. I pass 3 CrossFit gyms in Lodi to get to this one.

Sure, the aesthetics may be a little dated but honestly I really enjoy the old school look. Gyms shouldn't be superfluous. My gripes are pretty straight forward. The locker room is small, which isn't a big deal. The sauna is co-ed though, which does suck because the rules do not allow for beach attire. I wish management would reconsider this, but in the meantime it is what it is. If I were to truly nitpick I would say there's a little to be desired on the cleanliness side. Putting up some cheap little flags at the cleaning stations would make them easier to find, which would hopefully encourage others to take care of the equipment too by keeping it clean. Other than that, a little dusting would go a long way. In conclusion, I think Fitness System is great and I'm excited to stick with them.

We were denied entry with no prior notice or accommodation, which made the passes feel like a waste of money. The most disappointing part was the lack of communication and customer service. Policies changing is understandable, but customers should be informed ahead of time -- especially after paying. Very frustrating experience.
