I've seen 2 dogs (clearly not service dogs) - one was a pit bull that came out of the women's bathroom with a rope around its neck. 5 minutes later some woman came out to find her dog. Today a homeless guy was going through the trash cans looking for recycling (not the end of the world) but then he went into the bathroom and proceeded to make a mess in there. When I asked the employee at the desk if they now let homeless people go through the trash cans - she didn't bother answering before I walked away. I'm sure she didn't notice him walk in as they are ALWAYS on their phones. If you're looking for a gym - keep looking. read more

This planet fitness is clean, spacious and has a lot of equipment. The staff is friendly and very helpful when needed. I love the message beds and the room you have to work out. This place has gone way downhill. I understand that the promotion for Summer brings in a ton of young people, and that's great! If you know the business will have a major influx of users, prepare your staff for that. I was just there and every staff member was hanging out at the front doing absolutely nothing, meanwhile the bathrooms are disgusting, paper towels need to be refilled at the sanitizing stations, and a ridiculous amount of equipment have out of order signs posted on them. I used to always see people cleaning and maintaining the gym, but it's terrible now. My husband won't go there anymore and I'm starting to feel the same way. I just joined this gym as a Black Card Member where I get access to the or Hydro chairs, massage chairs (currently not working), and stand up tanning beds, free training, access to any planet fitness world wide, bring a friend free, and %50 off drinks! I love the atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the vibe. However, one not yet been able to use the massages chairs since they've been out of service, but yet I'm paying for them. I have observed Mila always checking in on us elderly. If she is not preoccupied, MIla takes the time out to listen to our past & present stories. I look forward to coming in to PF seeing a smile on her face and checking in how I am doing. Mila's staff are also a reflection of her as they (Mike, Alexandra, Dora, Izaiah) show the same personality. Unprofessional Evening Crew - Dirty, Disrespectful, and the Opposite of Judgment-Free I've been going to the Lodi Planet Fitness for a while now, and I've had it--especially with the evening crew. The place is constantly a mess. Weights are left all over the place, never re-racked, and good luck finding a matching set without walking laps around the gym. There are never paper towels available to wipe down equipment, which is disgusting. The bathrooms? Usually have at least one clogged toilet and smell like no one's cleaned them all day. What's worse is the staff. They're always on their phones, never greet anyone walking in, and seem more interested in chatting with each other than helping members. They cuss openly and frequently, which is totally unprofessional. And something that really bothers me: they often switch to speaking another language when people walk by--making it feel like they're talking poorly about customers. Whether they are or not, it goes completely against the welcoming, "no critics" and judgment-free zone Planet Fitness claims to promote. This location is the opposite of what Planet Fitness advertises. It doesn't feel welcoming, clean, or respectful. If corporate actually cares about the brand's values, they need to take a serious look at how this gym is being run in the evenings. read more

I rarely write reviews, but this location deserves some honest feedback. The staff here is consistently unprofessional and disengaged. It's frustrating to walk into a gym where weights are scattered everywhere and nobody takes responsibility for re-racking them -- not even the employees. Basic hygiene is clearly not a priority. Paper towel dispensers are often empty, the bathrooms are filthy, and the entire place smells like urine and feces. It's honestly disgusting and unacceptable for a fitness facility. To make matters worse, the music situation feels unfair and borderline discriminatory. If you play a song in English, it gets disliked quickly, but Spanish-language songs seem to stay on rotation without issue. It feels like there's intentional bias in how the music is managed -- not exactly welcoming for all guests. This place has seriously gone downhill. I'm not sure how corporate hasn't stepped in, but until they clean house -- both literally and figuratively -- I can't recommend this location to anyone. read more

Planet Fitness - Lodi Review I originally signed up for Planet Fitness when my son took advantage of the free summer teen membership. I used the gym for a few months and really enjoyed it, but then I moved to a rural county that unfortunately doesn't have a PF location. That's when my problems started. The old manager at the Lodi location refused to set my home gym to this location, even though I had never once visited the one assigned by the computer upon sign-up. When I moved and was no longer using the membership, I tried to cancel, but they wouldn't let me. I also reached out to the Manteca location multiple times, but their manager never returned my calls no matter how many messages I left. Thankfully, the new manager at the Lodi location, Miela (hope I'm spelling that right!), was a total lifesaver. She swiftly handled everything--canceling my membership and even waiving the back fees, which I truly appreciated since I hadn't used the gym in a year. Funny enough, the Manteca manager had told me that wasn't possible, but Miela made it happen with no hassle. Aside from the previous issues, I have to say that this location is great. It's always clean, never overly crowded, and has all the best equipment. Once my schedule and budget allow, I'll definitely be coming back. When I signed up before the pandemic this was a 24 hour gym 7 days a week. After pandemic M-Th 24 but Friday and weekends not. So my first complaint is all the wannabe gym rats that sit on a machine for 20 mins and don't do any exercises. My last straw was a chick that was in the 30min circuit training area using the rowing machine to do put her legs on and do some kind of floor work out. There is an area for this not the machines that others want to use. She wouldnt budge when asked if she was almost done. So I went to the staff and they wouldn't ask her to move on either. The circuit area has signs posted about proper use and says it will be monitored but obviously it isn't. I moved down to fitness systems where it's costs more then 10 bucks so the people there are serious about their work outs not sitting around taking up machines while texting. You get what you pay for! read more

Since my last review years ago I have to say this place has really gone downhill and is very ghetto. Sorry but it's true. They don't monitor the teenagers wearing jeans and slides who are just sitting on their phones taking up machines. It has become way too crowded. Even when you go around 3 PM it's busy, if you go in the morning, you might get lucky and not have every machine taken. I think they need to make sure they check people better that are checking in that I do not believe actually have memberships. Will be canceling. Only reason for two stars is I like the massage beds if they're not broken. read more

Went in today and two employees were sitting at a table in the entryway. As I was walking by to check in for my workout, I overheard the dude saying that the employee was receiving a write up. I was just passing so I didn't hear what she'd done to deserve a write up. But what absolutely NO ONE deserves is to be disciplined for work performance in public. This dude should not be in a leadership position. He lacks the professionalism to recognize that he's creating a hostile working environment. I really like this planet fitness, because staff are usually always friendly, cheerful, and helpful. All the machines are working and everyone just focuses on their own workouts, seems to have a smooth workout every time I go there. OMG, these guys are thieves! I had a yearlong membership, never used it, as I did not like the gym. So, I call in August, when is my membership over? I am told, that on Sept 23rd, my membership is over. Cool...... On October 1st, they take out $39.00, saying that under the contract, I have only 7 days to cancel, or they keep the deposit. They know damn well, that they make thousands using this method of stealing from customers, but they do it anyway! The GM says, yes we do rip people off, when I posed the question! Somewhere, a simple contract was made to pay these jerks thousands of dollars from those that try to cancel. I cancelled on October 1st, they say it's too late, we will just take your money! Oh, you can SIGN UP on a website, but since they are thieves, they tell you to send them a certified letter to CANCEL, or you can come in and argue with them personally. Very unfair business practices! I would avoid these thieves at any cost!!!! read more

The gym is clean, but it is always way too hot in there. I swear they hardly use the AC. Even when going at 6am it's very stuffy and hot. Also, two of the sinks in the women's bathroom have been "out of order" with signs saying they are working to fix them since I've been coming (about 4 months now). read more

Little disappointed, showed up around my normal time today(Saturday Morning) 4:15am just to find the doors locked at this location. No notification that the gym hours changed to 7am, mind you I drive up from Galt. Disappointed because the main reason I came back to this Planet Fitness was that they were 24hr. How do you make changes to the hours without notifying the customers, also mind you there's no signage to let you know of the change! This gym is horrible. I physically went in to cancel my membership and PAID to cancel it only to continue to be charged. I called and spoke to the manager many times about this issue and she said there's nothing they can do. So much money has been taken out of my account due to this and they refuse to refund me for any of it. read more
