Apartment complex is trash. Corporate office is TRASH. The entire office here is discriminating…read moreagainst others. So many issues. The ONLY good thing about here is we have TWO good maintenance guys and the other three ARE TRASH! The maintenance guys are overworked and barely make minimum wage. All employees have a "rental discount" but one and also don't get their paychecks until the 5th and office won't waive their late fee even though they don't get paid UNTIL THE 5th!

After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. Instead of managing and stabilizing my building, I lost money every month and my stress level was out of control. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. She actually cares about her tenants and always answers the phone or calls back right away. If I could give more stars, I would! I couldn't cook or stay in my apartment. Then when I moved out my lease was up April 31,2026. I didn't receive any information walk through paperwork or my refund. I called emailed and texted for 2 months and finally got my refund. I deserve more due they didn't give my anything in the ca law 21 days. So I would never advise anyone to rent from here.

During that time they were very aggressive with our long term tenants. After they evicted them they brought in new tenants, who we think were someone they knew. They do not look out for the owner's interest. They protected these new tenants and had us constantly fix things although we had remodeled the house after they evicted the long term tenants. During the year of their tenancy we did not receive any rental payments because something always needed to be fixed or something had suddenly broke and was deducted from our rent. The companies they hired to do the "work" did not perform professional work. They installed mismatched fixtures, the tenants ruined the carpet and did not take it out of their security payment. I could go on and on, but wanted to make sure others know to stay away.
