He has pretty much recovered, They also set it up seamlessly for the home healthcare nurse. The staff and the doctors and nurses and later labs at the hospital were all great. They even called after we got home and there isn't a hospital in this town that will send you paper work after your stay to allow you to rate them on your stay. If you feel a need tell them how they can improve. Yes you can do that too. They took our medicare and supplement plan. We have no reason for complaints.

When I found out about the Credits I was owed from Crystal in Accounting she said if I don't use the Credit on office visits by the end of the year, Accounting would send me a check! I told her that we don't Doctor there anymore, so then she said they would cut a check in Two weeks, realizing this is May 2026. I asked Crystal who was the Director of the Clinic, she said Art Badillo, I left at least two voice mails thru a period of 5 days, so today 5-11-26 I contacted the CEO Duke Young, shared my Issue with him, and he said he would look into, and get back with me at the end of the Business day today. Lo and behold Art Badillo called and said he would look into these Credits owed me. I told him I already talked to his Boss,I asked if his Boss Young had talked to him, he said no, I CALL BULLSHIT ON THAT LIE!Then about the time I was talking to Badillo, I could see that Mr. Young was calling, by the time I called his number had left me a voice telling that Accounting had cut a check for my credits on 5-04-26 and I should receive the check this week. I will be contacting the State Attorney General, and see if maybe they might want to investigate the Accounting dept of Mimbres Valley Medical Group!! The Attorney General might want to see how many other Patients have money owed to them!!! Because of poor bookkeeping ! It looks like the Accounting dept could use a CLASS on the difference between Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and know the guidelines, THIS WAS ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Rang the bell at the door three times and it took 15 minutes for anyone to open that door. I sat there for two+ hours and when I got home and was in bed, they called for me to come in and sign paperwork. I said I'd do it in the morning. At 6:25 AM they were calling to make sure I came in. When I was in that ER, not one person was helpful or asked if I needed anything or explained what we were waiting for. I am seriously disappointed.

I went to Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room on May 29th due to complications with my diabetes…read moreand insulin pump. I was seen by a Doctor Ponce de Leon. She asked me why I had come to the Emergency room. I explained the problem with my glucose level and the number of insulin pumps that I had gone through in 24 hours. The Doctor said she would be back. When the Doctor returned, she told me that there was nobody in the Emergency room who dealt with diabetes or insulin pumps. I asked what about the rest of the hospital, I was told that they have all gone home for the weekend. She said she was going to arrange for me to be discharged. I was upset, so I placed a call to the hospital administration, and was told that they would look into it. Shortly after the call, a Nurse Practitioner came to see me. She checked out my Insulin pump controller and went to make a phone call to my Diabetes Doctor, who's office was closed for the weekend. She eventually spoke to a Diabetes Doctor she knew. The Nurse Practitioner returned, telling me that my insulin pump was malfunctioning. I was told about the diet I should eat over the weekend, until I could get in contact with my Diabetes Doctor on Monday. I was eventually discharged from the hospital, without any help for the large swings in my glucose levels and no means to administer insulin. I should have been admitted over the weekend to get my glucose levels under control. Basically, the Emergency Room Dr. Ponce de Leon and the Nurse Practitioner left me in a very dangerous situation.

Memorial is old, but in general the facility is well kept and the service is excellent. In December, I had a triple bypass surgery in Memorial. I first spent 5 days on the fourth floor prior my surgery. My surgeon was Dr. Vitaly Piluiko, who recently retired. Him and his team were outstanding. Dr. Piluiko, visited me in my room every day prior my surgery. After surgery, I spent a few days recovering in the intensive care unit. Even the anesthesiologist came to check on me the day after my surgery! Yes, the hospital is a bit tired, but the care I received was outstanding. My only observation is that the food service company lacks of employees who understand what vegan meals are and they need to have a proper selection of options for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians. The service is at the same level of what I experienced in large hospitals in San Antonio and Dallas Texas.
