She told me a lot of people just want to get high. Then she took my blood pressure which was 200 over 150 due to pain. She saw the blood pressure and finally gave me meds. Another nurse blew my vien out drawing blood and was so rude fake apology. I wish we had other options.

I am not blaming the girls at the desk who have always been very professional and kind. The problem is that the system has no backup procedures to prevent this from happening. The VA guideline for ordering refills is that you order 10 days prior to the date your prescription is due so you will get your meds on time. I did so and still no one has signed off on mine. The VA Pharmacy in Albuquerque told me that I am not the only one waiting and they have reached out several times to the nurses at the clinic. Again I am not blaming the staff who should not be blamed for this.

In March I told the doctor that I was having breathing problems. He gave me an inhaler that had a bad reaction to my blood pressure medication. Also automatically sent me a blood pressure medication after I told him that I couldn't take that particular medication. No X-ray or anything to see why I was having problems breathing. In May I saw another outside doctor & found out that I had pneumonia and an infection around the outside of my left lung as well as a 3 1/2 X 6 1/2 cm mass infection inside of my lung. I ended up having a thoracotomy & being in ICU for 10 days and rehab for 7 days. This might have been prevented if the X-ray was done in March.

From the moment I walked into the ER through my entire stay, I experienced nothing but kindness, compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. Every doctor, nurse, day and night staff member, front desk employee, and even the housekeeping team treated me with such warmth and kindness. They truly made a scary and unexpected situation feel so much easier. I will forever be grateful to the entire Christus team for taking such amazing care of me. I talked to the tech and doctor about ordering glasses online. I left with a prescription for glasses. When I tried to order online I realized the prescription was incomplete. So 2 hours at the office and I can't order glasses without a PD number. When I called I was told I should have asked for that to be on the prescription. I didn't even know that was information I needed. The lady went on to tell me to go to Walmart and they could do the measurement. So 2 hours at Filmore then go to Walmart for the measurement to be able to actually order glasses
